I know I am supposed to shut up, but I have to post on this.Of course he isn't sure the babies are het. Thus the 50% (that means 50% chance they are,50% chance they aren't).
They came from a documented 100% het male, bred to a female that was sold to him as a het without paperwork. Had she proven out, he would have gotten albinos in the clutch, and those normals he was selling could be sold as 66% hets. Since she did not prove out(and she still may prove out in a future clutch) the most he can say is that they are 50%.
Am I missing the quote where he says he is unsure of the male's genetics?
