In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Not the same IP.
When I posted this, it seems Ryan posted his first response from work. But, after further inspection, he and Chip are BOTH posting from AOL accounts. This does not mean they are the same person. Just take it as a little bit more of information.

I'm still kind of hazy on another detail in his second ad. He has worked with/been around snakes for 20 years yet he is only 24. What kind of involvement did he have with snakes at the age of 4?

What do I have to do to prove to all of you that I am not Ryan?

Why don't you and ryan get together and see what you can come up with?

YOU may be legit BUT ryan has a LONG history of being a liar.

I never said you were. I am just providing more information from a previously asked question.

You need to understand that the heat around here isn't about you in particular. This is all about Ryan. You, by virtue of a deal with him, got inadvertantly sucked into all his crap. It is not the members here fault. The blame rest entirely with Ryan and his past actions. Post honestly and you will come out of this just fine.

I do suggest you post the deal particulars you sent me in that email. I will allow you sometime to post it yourself before I post the email.

Chip is the one I sent all 6 to. 1 was a female. He kept that one and sent 5 back. Got it? And the ads are all over the ball classifieds right here, Wes. Go there instead of spending all your time here and maybe you'd see it for yourself. Big surprise. More accusations with no information.

Per the request of DThomas, here are the facts of the deal I had with Ryan,
I agreed to purchase 3 female 50% het ball pythons from him.
Ryan was paid and the three females arrived only to be 2.1
without asking for anything from Ryan, He sent me the other three.
At this point I had still only paid for three.
when the other three arrived and were all males, I contacted Ryan to let him know. He was honest, apologetic and sincere. He immediatley refunded (while all six were in my possession) the money for the two females I did not receive and the five males were sent back to him. The sixth snake not included in his current ad is the lone female and is in my possession.

Until today I never realized that for sale ads are not posted in the new posts section.

My appologies ryan, since I never saw your ad I thought you never placed one here.

Go figure, you told the truth and I missed it. Of course if you didn't LIE so often this would NOT be an issue.

You know, ryan, something else just occured to me. Are not both you and Chip in Philly? And if so, WHY would you guys be shipping back and forth to each other? Perhaps I am unclear because I missed some pertinant bit of information but if you could explain this I would appreciate it.

How did you pay him? How did he reimburse you back?

Thank you, that certainly explains the need to ship.

See that ryan, nice and neat.

I wonder if you are capable of the same.

What were you convicted of Ryan?

Last thing Ryan needs is a gun. We've seen how easily he shoots off his mouth.
LOL. In VA which has typically southern lax gun laws, the legal issues that prevent one from owning or purchasing a gun are felony conviction, any domestic violence conviction, even a misdemeanor, and an active order of protection (restraining order) in force against you, as best as I recall. Recent involuntary commitment in a psychiatric facility is another as is active substance abuse. An arrest, in and of itself, is not an exclusion in any state I do not believe, though pending charges may be.

I don't really know where to start with this, so I guess I will just jump in with both feet. I have done business with Ryan in the past and will do so again if he ever has anything I am interested in again. In July of 04 I believe I purchased a young male hypo boa from him that came to me in perfect condition, as described. There was nothing outstanding about the transaction, it was just done the way transactions should be done. Great communication (we talked several times a day through AOL instant message, and continue to talk every couple of weeks or so now). Because it was just a standard cut and dry business transaction, I didnt feel the need to post it here. Ryan knew I was happy with the animal, and I am sure he was happy with the money.
That was the first, and only time I have done business with him, but not the first time I had talked to him about purchasing animals from him. In fact, the first time I ever emailed him was when he was selling the rescued hog island boas that made him famous. I think I saw him in the AOL chat room prior to that, and may have talked to him in AIM ,but didn't really put 2 and 2 together. The reply I got when I inquired about the hogs was enough to dissuade me from making that purchase. Not because of a pissy attitude, or anything like that, but because he DID share everything he knew about the hogs, to include a link to the original rescue ad explaining their historys. I can only assume that anyone who inquired about them got the same type of email , with everything spelled out in black and white.
I have been talking to Ryan quite frequently as of late, and have noticed that he is caring more about the way people see him. He is concerned about the standing of his name in this community, and the same couldn't be said a year ago. He is sounding more mature than the pitbullophis we all have read about. He is growing up, and trying to make the changes necessary to be a "good guy".
I don't know how many times I have heard (read) people telling bad guys what they have to do to better a situation. "Just do the right thing, and prove that you are changing".
Is that just to get them to pay someone off for some deal they burned someone on, or is that really the road to recovery? Ryan has many successfull deals behind him that have resulted in happy customers, myself included, and will likely have MANY more in the future. However, any time someone posts about them they are questioned about the validity of their post. Ask me if I am Ryan, ask me if I was coached by him. If I were Ryan, and had his temper, I would tell you right where you could go right?Ryan has a temper issue, that is easy to see, but a malicious person he is not. A man who has slipped in the past, and is on the path to being a better peron, yup. It doesn't take much to set him off, and that is his biggest issue, since I can't think of anyone who was burned by Ryan. I can't say how I would react if someone was pissing on every post made about me, but had never done business with me, nor had they ever known anyone that I wronged. Ryan to the best of my knowledge has made ammends, so why don't we just lay off and see if he continues on the high road? Is it because that advice we give the true bad guys is a load of manure, and that their name will never be the same no matter what they fix? Ryan hasn't burned anyone that I know of out of anything, and when he does have a fault, it is remedied. Isn't that the measure of a good guy according to the signatures of a few?
I think it is time to either give him some slack, or stop telling others that all it takes is to regain the trust by being a better person.
Ryan's "bad guy" stuff(if you want to call it that) happened before a bunch of good transactions. Is that what makes him bad?
Would it be different if he had a good name first? We have seen here recently a man who had numerous good guy traits, straight our rob someone. Ryan hasn't done anything like that, but he is treated worse than that guy. Why do his good transactions not outweigh the bad (especially since the bad weren't even business dealings)?WOuld it help to ad WWJD in his signature line?
I am getting off track now, so I will end this. I personally would do business with him again, and while I can't change the apearance of the bad guy that some perceive, I do hope that some may lay off a bit to see if he continues on the good guy road. Of course he is going to lash out if every time someone posts a good transaction they have his past crammed down their throats. What does his past have to do with the way he currently handles business? (If you look closely, you may even see that Ryan's "lashing out" has been toned down quite a bit as well.

Yeah, $40 dollar fines do that to people. Also the fact of knowing an $80 dollar comes the next time may be contributing as well.

If you want to continue to deal with someone who lies about something as simple as his age and experience then don't come here whining if he screws you some day.

Touche...
Yeah, well obviously he felt it was worth the money to pay the fine in order to show that he is changing huh? As far as his age..I have known his age for a long time, so have many others. It may be in his profile, I don't know.Who cares? He paid for his mistake , and even sent the reamaining three snakes to be sexed by the buyer before a commitment was made.I think he was making light of the situation saying, you would think that after being around snakes for so long he would know how to sex them. When my parents moved back to California from Hawaii when I was 18 months old. My dad caught a gopher snake shortly after that, that we had for many years.Along the way he bought several other snakes, from garters, kings, corns, milks, to a burm. I grew up around snakes, and am 27 years old now, and wouldn't by lying if I say I have more than 20 years of experience with snakes.
For the record, I would much rather buy from someone that comes across as an a-hole, and compensantes for mistakes, than from someone who looks to be a good old fashioned, god fearing man who flat out steals. Ryan's so called "bad transactions" have been mistakes that were compenasated.

That is what you perceived to be a lie. You think he is lying because that would mean he had snakes when he was 4. I have no reason to doubt that he was around snakes at a young age, as I was. Your personal definition of experience is what comes into play here, not truth or lies.Opinion based on what YOU think experience means. He didn't say he was selling snakes 20 years ago, or breeding them, or probing them.

Perhaps you could now come back and give an example of a more complex lie? Something not so simple? A real lie worthy of your degrading. I know you have more, you wouldn't come here using that one instance to prove he is a liar would you?
