In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What does it matter? He did post that statement on BD.org regardless if he said it on the phone or not.

Just seeing if she can keep her stories straight.

Are you accusing her of being a liar.....again??? Hasn't she had enough of that kind of treatment. Just because someone believes differently from you doesn't automatically make her a liar. :NoNo:

So was it from the phone call ?

I know it's hard to believe, but some people are so talented that they can make a post on a forum AND talk on the phone at the same time. I was on the phone with Bobby when he posted on BD.org.

I am not quite as talented as Bobby, and after I hung up with him, I posted the question he posed on the phone, and posted on BD.org. Sorry to disappoint you, Jean, but the "story" doesn't change when you're telling the truth.

By the way, when did this become about me? I'm pretty sure this was about silkback dragons...or actually about smoothies. Last time I checked, I had enough hair on my legs to be considered neither smooth nor silky. :D

It's amazing to me that I've laid my life here out for everyone to evaluate and pick apart, and believe me...I've been evaluated and picked apart plenty, and there are still some who think I'm lying.

Jean, I've told you before, just like I've told everyone else, I have nothing to hide, nothing to cover up, and most certainly nothing to lie about.

Skinny pigs
Hairless rats

You too, Jim? You think it's ok to alter these bearded dragons for no reason, accept for the amusement of others?

It's funny that I keep seeing the same three names that opposes all these other names.
Do you do any research before you defend? Or do you just do it out of loyalty?

You know what I think is funny, Jim? That you posted a thread with the intention of defending the exploitation of this MUTATION, and in that thread are many people who don't approve...for exactly the same reasons that we don't approve.

Do you own a "Normal" or an Altered?
What gives you the right to say whats right or wrong?
I myself will put myself in the middle of things and say I am in the works of producing these. Do I see a lot of mixxed emotions?
Yes I do.
Is it for everyone?
Hell NO.

To each their own.

Jim

Ohhhh.
But how many like it or are interested? Is it a 50/50?
I sure wont go on the usuall suspects.

You know, to each HUMAN their own. We have that choice.

Beardies do NOT have that choice, and that's what people seem to forget. If you want to be proud you're taking part in this cruelty, more power to you. Just goes to show what kind of person you are.

Is it unusual to see the same people involved in threads on this forum Jim? We're beardie people, of course we're going to talk about this.
As far as your posts on the Canadian thread, the same issues are coming up over there that we are bringing up over here, particularly the sensitivity of the skin and how easily they could be injured.
Its perfectly reasonable for people to ask questions and have concerns. What is unreasonable is to expect people to stay silent ONLY when certain breeders are involved.
As for me, I have done as much research on this issue as is possible at the moment. I have read the breeders pages and I've seen what they had to say.
Your position on the Canadian site seems to be that breeding won't be an issue with these animals because they don't have to be bred in order to keep producing them, but we both are mature enough to realize that people are going to breed them, and when they do, how are they going to prevent injury to the animal? They still have teeth, right? They are still going to participate in normal breeding behavior, right?

NO it can't be about "To each their own" because no one is asking the dragons if they want to live out their lives as a mutation. Of course no one takes into account their lives....its not about them.....it's about what the person or people that are doing this wants. You can't see beyond your own wallet and that is low. Lowest of the low. Take an innocent wild animal, captivate it. Then after awhile that isn't good enough, it's not raking in enough dough, so go one step further, take that same captive dragon and change it so that it no longer has scales, make it have issues with basking, digesting and most of all, mating. Tear that female up so that she can give you eggs, therefore a fatter wallet. Don't mind her laying there bleeding from the male that just bit into her delicate neck.

So yeah, right, to each their own. :bandhead0

Tere.
You wanna go there?
What color are you dragons? Were they not selectivly bred to be the color you wanted? Are you telling me that to get what you wanted there was not inbreeding to accomplish your desire?
Dont preach to me when you are all guilty!

If you dont like it say that. Dont try and downplay one thing and make another look bad. Really, think about what all is out there and come to a conclusion. I deal with ALL types of morphs in every reptile you could imagine.
What makes one worse then the other?

I should add here that one of the reasons we can all be fairly certain that these animals WILL be bred to each other at some point is genetics 101. If this trait is going to be stabilized so it can be reproduced with frequency, the animals will have to be bred to each other.

My goodness!
DO YOU NEED A SILK TO PRODUCE A SILK?

If you can answer this you have read about them. Has it even been proven a silk is even sterile?
You guys are going off again without even talking to the people working with these animals. You know what! Be the way youre going to be. Dont ask those who know. Judge and Jury right.

Ignorance is a pathetic excuse.

Jim.
