In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Snowglow Boa? Need opinions/advice...Pics

Looks like a regular albino to me.
I agree with the others it's an albino

As for the price and name of the guy who sold it i wont mention, i promised itd be anonymous. Thanks again.
If something sounds to good to be true it usually is. If a breeder has good practices & nice animals they want that word to travel. Any breeder that prefers to remain anonymous does so for a reason.

Best of luck.

I appreciate the feedback. Not saying you guys are wrong, indeed that's what i thought she may be. Just wanted to see if i was wrong and i told him i would apologize if i was. If i was going to spend good money on some boas i was going to make sure that i was getting what i was paying for so that we were both getting what we were looking for. I now have the information that i needed through you guys and some others. I actually was the one who offered to post things up on the forums without his name or price listed just so that he would feel more comfortable, so it wasn't him not wanting me to release that information. He personally didn't breed her himself and from the feeling i got from him it didn't seem like he was trying to trick me out of my money, especially after showing him i had some knowledge about boas and that it wasn't going to be too easy to do with me. I feel like the incorrect labeling came from the guy that sold him the female, but i may be wrong. Regardless i am looking to work things out with him after showing him some of these results. I appreciate all of your help that you guys provided me with. Thanks again

it's best the person is not named in this thread, because then that becomes a BOI type post.

I agree & don't need the name. I was just trying to make a point. Maybe I'm having a hard time understanding the original post or reading something wrong but it's just hard for me to accept that no one involved in these deals knew anything about the snakes. It's not like albinos or sunglows are in stock daily at your local mom & pop pet store. I get the original seller may have falsely labeled the snake a ""lower end" snowglow but the people who usually buy albino or sunglow boa's usually know a little about genetics. If your familiar enough with terms like coral, lower end snowglow, Kahl & Sharp, I'd imagine you know anery lacks red pigment. It just doesn't feel right to me, best of luck to everyone involved though.

Yeah i understand where you're coming from and i believe i did state that i know anery is supposed to take out all red pigment from the boas. And thats where i was confused to see if it was possible for any to remain in a boa that is in fact anery. I personally hadn't heard of that occurring and that's why i went forward to ask plus posting pictures so a better look could be had. I also do believe i stated that i thought that she was a very washed out albino, and i told him that myself also. That's where we both agreed upon me looking in to it further because he was very strong on the idea that she was a snowglow because that is what the breeder had told him. I knew that him and i going back and forth wasn't going to get us anywhere so i looked for other opinions as well to either back him up or back me up on our thoughts

Sorry Kevin, I didn't mean I thought you mislabeled the snakes but think the person selling the snakes to you may accidentally to his benefit. Your interested in buingy a snake & knowing what morph it is so your doing your research. I think the seller would of done the same when he bought the snakes originally or at least found out later what they were.

I know accidents can happen & snakes can be labeled wrong. It's just funny how the are always done so to benefit the seller. I bet if the snake was a snowglow it wouldn't of accidentally been labeled & priced it as an albino. If so find check if he has a moonglow with a albino price tag for me

Haha yeah i know right, of course i cant know exactly what his intentions were and i would like to think he wasn't trying to do that to me. But of course that i won't be able to find out, I will be contacting him later on today about the results that I got. I'm hoping he sticks to his word. I'm just glad I had some knowledge from the start and didn't get stuck into a bigger mess in the future. I'll let you know about that moonglow if i ever come across one ;)

I haven't read all responses. A local herper who is a buddy of mine sent the "seller" 1300.00 bucks for the 2. Right after he message me his excitement and I dashed his hopes immediately. The individual said he didn't want to ship the animals because the "sunglow" was in shed. I told him to dispute the charges immediately, which he has now done. The seller requested my local guy to send as a "gift", which may impede the charge back for obvious reasons. The obvious misrepresentation of the animals is ridiculous. This seller is definitely not to be trusted. He stated the "snowglow" was produced by Doug M. I own several animals produced by Doug M. and sadly that animal is possibly a sharp albino at best (300.00). I'll be forwarding this over to my local guy to hopefully aid his dispute.

Yeah please do, in the end he didn't refund me anything and i still have the snakes in my posession at the moment. I wasn't able to dispute the charge because I did indeed sent it as a "gift". Every other buy I have done within driving distances and had only done a payment through paypal once. This being my second time i didnt know you couldn't dispute a charge unless it was a product/service. I contacted paypal and they told me I couldnt do anything about it because of that fact and that they only recommended to try and talk to my bank and see if they could help. I got thay response last night so i am planning on calling my bank today. Keep me updated with anything you can, I can try to help you guys as well. The sunglow was indeed in shed and shed out here at my house, but anything else he said I'm sure were lies like he did to me. He only wanted to offer me half of my money once i told him what I came up with, when he said he would keep 25% as a restocking fee. Funny thing is he was only offering me half which is 50%. Have all info through emails and he began cussing at me towards the end and said i wasnt getting any more responses or my money back. That it was now my problem. I told him id do whatever possible to get my money back and last I heard from him was a smart comment saying "goodluck ;)". Something has to be done about thia guy and hopefully something is.

Kevin, my local guy (SLC) also sent it as a gift..... The seller is "scamming" by definition. Misrepresentation. Of course that is my personal opinion.

I would suggest posting in the BOI. I will direct my local friend over to it, as he has forwarded me emails as well, that the seller sent to him etc. I typically avoid posting in most BOI's as it turns into drama I just truly don't have the will to deal with (especially with recent events), but if I can help shed any light on the situation, I will.

Yeah I completely agree and I told the people from paypal the same exact thing, only for them to tell me that basically I cant do anything other than talk to him and work things out with him. Obviously he isn't going to be willing to do that and all they told me was to talk to my bank. I wasn't even allowed to open up a dispute charge really, they said for one their system wouldnt let me and if it did I wouldn't get anywhere because of the "gift".

I am not really familiar with the BOI either as I have never posted or read much on there. I honestly don't think we will be hearing from him again as these were his last two snakes other than a het albino he was going to sell. So we do need to watch out for what he will be labeling this "het albino" if she is even one. He told me he was selling all his boas so the only one left is this last boas, as well as two vision cages, and a melamine critter condo that he tried to sell me as well. I wouldnt doubt him trying to disappear if he's not already doing it now and going to sell everything locally through Craigslist or something. ill be looking for that as well since he lives nearby from me, we met up in person for the exchange.

I wouldnt say i didn't either, I knew the possibility was there for this occuring. There was already a problem there when i posted up on here, the transaction was already made though so there was only fixing it left. So i posted here so others could back up my opinion, and him seeing it I was hoping for him to be more reasonable. Obviously he wasnt though. I already knew a few days ago when he officially told me i wasn't getting anything back, so I took further action into solving it. I didnt think it was necessary to post that part though as you guys had already helped with what you could. I was also trying to avoid "I told you so" type of comments if at all possible. So with all due respect if someone isnt going to try and help please keep your comments to yourself. I am using this site and emails for proof of what I am talking about, so if unnecessary comments can be avoided I am going to try and do so. Just trying to keep it from getting messy, and as short and to the point as possible.

I know you think he may be getting out of the hobby because he told you this or that but you should know by now after getting burnt not to believe anything this guy says. If I was a scammer I'd want you to believe I was done with my dealings too so I could continue making money using the same tricks. If he thinks he can continue to make easy money this way why would he honestly stop?

I might not get you your money or any refund back but you could possible help someone else in the future. In this hobby we need all the good guys to stick together to rid ourselves of shady people. I cant force you to do anything but if it were me I would read the BOI rules, get all my e-mails & factual information I had together & post it.

If everything you mentioned here in this thread is true then the worst that can happen is you waste a few minutes but who knows what good could come from it for someone else. It might even benefit you as well. I seen a simple BOI post do some amazing things in my short time here.

I am the other guy that he tried to scam. I sent him the money, and then he sold the snakes to the OP. When I started a dispute with Paypal, he told Paypal that he had sent me a check for the refund. This would be weird but somewhat believable had he not told me the reason he wouldn't send me the snakes was because my address wasn't coming up right. To the other guy who got scammed, send me a personal message and I will work with you to bring justice to this wonderful person.
