for anyones info that is interested, a very good friend of mine (who will not be named due to his wishes) bought a pair of het for albino balls from cre/noah/bruce/big bird/whatever you want to call them, back 2 and a half years ago, they produced albinos for him. So, I guess I'm not sure what the big hang up is about cre. I think it's more along the lines of, someone has it out for them and just wants to bad mouth them.

Yes, we all know that the dealings over at "Harry's" are fishier than a cottonmouth's dinner, but could we laugh at him on his own thread and keep the focus here on finding out who shipped that poor cobra to an undeserved death?

There's a fairly long list of sleazy illegal venomous dealers who could have shipped out from SC. Eisenmann is certainly on that list, but I'm not hearing anything that actually ties him to this incident, even circumstantially. So running an entire soap opera about just one of the possible suspects is probably not going to help with the topic here.

Personally I'm more curious about the California - Oregon - South Carolina connection. It isn't evidence either, but it's a coincidence that may bear investigating.

For starters, the dealer responsible does not necessarily have to live in SC, though it would be a reasonable assumption that he does.

I am aware of a fair number of people who live in or very near SC who deal in venomous reptiles and who have conducted their dealings a less than stringently legal or ethical manner. The problem is that I can't back up what I know with any hard evidence that I could post here. I didn't do business with these people. So I'm unwilling to name names. Actually in some of the cases I never knew their names; I only knew that they were local residents attending the Columbia show.

What I'm saying is that the possible suspect list is longer than you might think, and could include people who are not full time dealers.

Wow, that was very close. I was deeply considerign buying some of those het pieds when I saw them for sale in the past. And since then I have found myself comtemplating purchasing an animal from bruce here and there.

Thank you very much Ritchie for your research, I will never do business with bruce and I hope everyone else feels the same.

And please can anyone answer a question for me? I dont know much about ball python genetic markes but what is this famous het pied marker that these animals posesed that bruce stated in his for sale add?

Ritchie, you said you werent aware of the other people, I dont think you're aware of a whole heck of a lot. Get a clue. It boils down to this, if Bruce is guilty of everything ya'll say he is, then he deserves what he gets. Personally, I dont think he is. Only time will tell. In the mean time, why dont some of you guys try stopping the bad mouthing on here until you get SOLID evidence to prove all the trash you're talking about. I just don't think the Eisenmann soap opera belongs on this thread because there's no proof that he did this particular wrong. Use the search function on his name to find them.

And Bigshw you have to remember yes you may have been to his shop and was impressed but any numb nuts can open a store and sell herps and make it look nice. Its your business ethics that establishes a repor with your customers and as you can see your hearing it from actualy cusotmers of his who obviously feel negetive towards his business ethics.

Why would a person in the reptile industry that ordered snakes no mater what kind want another one put down? Why not have taken one of the other two options? Just wondering why a beautiful reptile should have been killed when it had other places to go.

I cannot figure out why the wildlife services there even gave peters an option.
But, I know the reason he chose to have it done away with. It was evidence that could have been used against him.
Kill the animal.It no longer exists. No harm, no foul. On to the next call.

The fact is Peters knew what was in the box. He has said he has shipped like this before. If you get busted taking delivery, claim to have expected boas {this case pythons}, and you are in the clear, the investigation shifts to the shipper. The shipper uses a fake address so it cannot be traced back. The investigation shifts back to the buyer, but now the buyer lost the shippers name and number. Ok, no leads either direction so throw the file to the side and all is forgotten.

Peters explained to me in email that this is how it works. I still have the emails. All of them, and the instant messages from him.

Who was the shipper? I cannot say or spectulate. I won't try. I have learned from Peters that it becomes amazing what folks will do for a buck. Who's to say the shipper actually wasn't from another state?? If the shipper shipped from southern SC, they could have very well come from Fl, or Ga. Nothern sectors could be from NC, GA, TN. It is nothing to drive an hour, right???? If you were doing something so illegal and risky, would you do it in your own back yard? No, you'd travel to do it.

Peters did not realize I'd keep everything from him, and I did. He did not think that his own words and confessions would haunt him.And they do.

What needs to be addressed here is the fact that the law is looking him over right now. We all need to push them into doing something. As whimpy as Peters is, he'll suddenly remember who sent him the snake. And we can get our conviction against him, as well.
I urge eveyone to contact the police dept where Peters lives and keep pounding them with letters about this scammmer.
I have all the proof needed for many convictions of many charges.

IMO and that’s all it is, my opinion I don’t even own a pied. But I have some friends that have some rather large pied collections. I have never seen nor been shown any marker that shows a het is actually a het. I’ve seen many a pied and many a hets but never seen mark on a het pied that would prove it is a het pied.

It is possible, I say that because Het for granite burms some of them you can tell if you know what your looking for. Some have a more scattered pattern and of course the degree it is scattered varies from animal to animal. A good friend of mine from KC shown me this one day while I was at his place, he had a few hets that were obvious, totally different patterns. Also another good friend of mine in Pittsburgh shown me the same thing. I am not by any means saying that anyone advertising a more normal patterned het is lying but those 6 or 7 animals I had the chance to look at that were unrelated told me enough that it is true with het granite burms. As I said the degree does vary so some that are actual het granite may not appear different at all. So it is possible that there is some het pied marker but I have seen way more het pieds and pieds for that matter then I have seen het granite burms and never seen anything that would lead me to believe in such a marker nor as anyone told me anything convincing.

Now as far as this thread and the person yelping we are unjustly slamming Bruce
#1 read some of the other threads there’s links in them that lead you to his convictions for animal cruelty. If I remember correctly he’s been convicted of it not once nor twice but like 15 or 20 times??? for me enough said

#2 My intent with this thread wasn’t to start a witch hunt in SC I couldn’t remember bruces name and wanted to know. There was a price list of his posted somewhere that I recall him having spitters on. Considering he illegally shipped venomous snakes to a local guy here a while back and is in SC he was the first person to come to mind and I wanted his name because as soon as I get a chance(hopefully first thing Tuesday) I am going to contact the police department who handle this case and see if I can find out who the shipper was. I for one would like to know who the asshole(pardon my French) was that put countless lives in jeopardy. I was corrected I thought the snakes were shipped UPS when I posted this so I was pissed when I read that. I used to work for the Allentown pa hub of UPS for 4yrs. Personally I think its stupid of anyone to ship UPS with the things I have seen. I could go on forever with horror stories about UPS and destroyed, ripped, damaged boxes but to keep this short Ill leave it at this. Every year around x-mas there was a company that would survey the large shipping companies to see who had the safest handling procedures with their packages and every single yr while I worked for UPS guess who was the absolute worst and not by a little, yours truly UPS, they were the worst by leaps and bounds. So even hearing about someone shipping corns via UPS makes my skin crawl.

In any event like I said I wasn’t trying to start a witch hunt, I don’t know if I am allowed to be given the info on who the shipper was and wanted his name in case they were not allowed to give out the info I could try and get someone to slip up and spill the beans whether it was him or not. But looking at his track record, I think everyone can make up there own minds.

If my scanner worked, I would do so, but it was a 6volt unit connected to a 36 volt power supply. Alot of smoke and noise followed and it won't work anymore, lol.
The files I have are extensive and very space consuming, but Monster Reptiles has seen them as well as a few others.
I sent emails to the Modesto PD and the newspaper that carried the article.

I'll take a stab at the het pied marker question

I know it's off-topic for this thread, but the question has been asked and if you're not interested in my opinion, feel free to skip this post.
I believe all the pieds in the US are descendents of Peter Kahl's import. Somewhere in the early breedings and in-breedings a strain of pieds was noted to produce hets with white belly usually bordered by well-defined black lines from the tail half-way up the belly. Some breeders that work with this bloodline have successfully used this trait to sort out hets from their clutches of possible hets. There are many bloodlines that do not show this belly trait, so base any het acquisition on the trust and character of the breeder you are working with. Many normals also coincidentally do show a similar belly trait. The "het pieds" Mr. Eisenmann sold in 2002 do not show this trait. Later, as potential customers started asking him about it, suddenly most of his "het pieds" showed the trait for 2003. It wouldn't be too hard to sort through a shipment of imports and cherry-pick some with bellies that "look right". Interesting thing is though, if these were legitimate animals that came from the same breeding project, you would expect the 2002 "hets" and 2003 "hets" to show the same belly trait. Hey, if Bruce's customers want a "het pied" with the belly trait, he'll give them what they want. Anything to please his customers!

I am trying to figure out how to set up something for everyone to see what directions Peters took the conversations, but, not being a computer geek, I have no clue as to how to do it. Many people have asked me to send all the emails to them. I can do this, but it takes hours. I would like to set up a site that shows everything, in order so that individual mailings are not required.

Open up a word document and copy and paste them all in there. Then you can copy and paste everything over to here. It's time consuming but will work.

Do you have Microsoft Word?...a file in that is called a Word document. You could use any word processor to do it...Word is just a program that most have on their computers...what type of computer do you use? If you have a Windows system you should at least have Microsoft works, you can do it with that.
