In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What is a loosewheel, anyway? And why is it so much more awful to call her that than to call Wes "Wesley"? I don't get it!
PS. Don't EVER call me Squell-ee.

I really am not in a position, nor do I want to EVEN get into this all as I know the history of this whole thing, from the start, more then I even want to know and wish I didn't know lol. This history is 3 years old? man I say get over it.

My term of "loose wheel" or when I think on it I think of a cart with a wheel that is loose, or a car lets say, would you trust driving it with the wheel that way? On a cart would you trust to put your goods in that cart with the wheel loose? I am sure you get the picture... imagination is such a good and sometimes funny thing that conjures up all kinds of ideas, also could be loosely based on a name....

Wes vs Wesley... on the name of wilomn you see his name as he uses it nowhere on there do I see "ley" attached to it. Nuff said. :)

I am so NOT into name calling that you can be assured I will not call you that ;) :D

I believe that Wesley is a real name, just as James, etc.

True that. But it also a form of antagonism if used towards someone who expresses a dislike for people addressing him as such. No?

See, there is always another way to view it.

Rick

To refer to someone as a "loose wheel" would be to say that they are unstable, or likely to fail, or the member of a group most likely to fail the others.
LOL....all this time I thought it was only a reference to the classic joke that referenced Kenny Rogers' song!

Yes, I believe Wes has adopted it as his nickname for Lucille because she dislikes it and it annoys her....and I believe Lucille uses "Wesley" to goad Wes, much in the way that she started a "Happy Birthday" thread for Wes on a day she knew was not his birthday.

They both do things to get under the skin of people they dislike. Heck, I've even made it into Lucille's profile, a result of her decision to "link your name with mine, for educational purposes".

Birthday:
May 9
Full Name:
Lucille Hollander
Location:
Texas
Interests:
Dogs, birds, reptiles, gardening, Fauna
Biography:
Hoping Terese Mansell will teach me how to talk on the telephone the way she does

No one should take this bickering seriously at all.

oooh Terese, I can just see the bad karma coming your way now
I got hit yesterday by her so I have a few more days before I can get hit again      :D

Hey Stardust,
I believe I got the ages correct.

Rick

Of course. Its also a milder form that keeps one from getting warning points, but still hits its mark. Unlike the use of name changing to name calling, it is not such an insult though. No ?

This is sad :( . If it ever amounts to the 500 point fine, do you realize that this infraction will have contributed a cost of all of 4 cents :D ?

Just as a note was reading back and happened to hit on Wes's warning points. I find it interesting that Dand and Dr Owens gave more points for Wes using the name Brucie in reference to brucestephensons attack on KelliH.
This is a blatantly false statement. I did not give warning points to wes for calling Bruce, "Brucie." I gave him points for the following post which contained multiple antagonistic statements:

Wow brucie, I didn't think a coward like you could get any lower.

Dopey me, wrong again.

You're really a scumbag brucie, first class A#1 avoid at all costs bag o' scum.

Lying, trying to steal from college kids, throwing your ENORMOUS weight around to try to bully people into GIVING you things, supporting convicted criminals and smugglers, just an all around pile of poo.

You're lucky Steve is such a mellow guy. Some of us wouldn't take so well your constant abuse of our parmours and may just make you regret your continued stupidity.

Hmmmm, I sort of like Kelli, and I don't like you at all. Maybe we could discuss your treatment of my friend sometime. I know YOU and your enormousity would be hard to miss at any show we were both at and I know you've said you'd like to meet me in person, though I do believe you said something about you and your "friends" who I can only ASSume are fellow thieves and smugglers and fatass losers like yourself, so hey, I'm all for it.

You gonna heave your bulk to Daytona this year? It's possible I'll be there.
Granted, Bruce may have deserved to be criticized for what he said about Kelli. However, many people were quite critical of Bruce's post without resorting to name calling, outright insults, and veiled threats.

Well without a comment all one can do is tell the post. OK so you're right.

Be nice to know what people are being warned for though!

So, are you saying that I should have to "quote" someone when they post something inappropriate?

Personally I thought it was quite clear. The reason for the warning points is clearly stated as, "Overly abusive towards another member." The post itself contains multiple insults, and instances of name-calling. Yet somehow you ASSumed that I was giving wes waring points for calling Bruce, "Brucie." Either you weren't paying attention, or you were deliberately trying to be deceptive about my intentions. Only you know whether you simply made a careless false accusation, or whether you lied.

You forgot, hmmm fancy that, one other choice there owens, he may have simply made an HONEST mistake.

Did you intentionally leave that out or did you HONESTLY forget it was a possibility?

There are only a couple of people who call me Wesley. My mother being one of them.

Long ago, before lucille showed her true colours she asked me, several times, if she could call me Wesley. I flat out told her no, that it was not a name I had a liking for and that only a couple of people could call me that and not displease me.

She uses it as a goad, a way to insult me without technically breaking the rules. It's a sneaky slimy way of getting away with what I get zapped for when I call her loosewheel.

She knows it. dand knows it.

So let me get this straight, Wes. You are saying that you feel that YOU can choose whether or not a legitimate name (that might very well even be on your birth certificate) you are being called by someone (again of your choosing who may have YOUR PERMISSION) should be considered as a warnable offense on this site? Simply because YOU don't like being called that name (even though there are others that you PERMIT calling you that name), YOU feel you have the right to insist that someone calling you by that name MUST get a warning point from the moderators here?

Interesting............

All I will say about that is, well, rather a UNIQUE way of looking at things, I think................

Mistakes are often made when people are careless. Hence the fact that I twice referenced the fact that it might have been a "mistake": "you weren't paying attention" and "careless false accusation." Whatever the means by which the "mistake" was made, it was still a false statement about my actions.

Dr Owens this is the third time you followed Dand and warned Wes for the same post with a no comment. One time you followed Laura doing the same thing. Sorry I know what Assume means, but when I click on the view post and it takes me to the same place Dand referenced what would you think?

I don't beleive I've EVER said that rich. If it pleases you to think so, have at it. I take my lumps as they come while on occasion wondering why and sometimes commenting on them. I haven't asked that any be removed

But, had I asked you on more than one occasion if it was ok for me to call you richard and you had each time said that it wasn't and then I did it, what do you think my reasoning for doing so would be?

Twist and turn it all you like, she did it for the same reason I use loosewheel.

It's a goad.

And all this attention for saying you were right...wow wonder what happens if I disagree.
Michael,
I am sorry if I was overly abrupt. Your post really rubbed me the wrong way at the end of a very difficult day. We lost a patient today. He was a little boy. Although I have watched many people die, they are almost always old, or very sick. When a child dies it feels like your heart has been ripped out of your chest. On any normal day your post wouldn't have fazed me...today just wasn't that day. If I was an asshole, I'm sorry.

I would appreciate it if nobody here ever calls me "dude", "homey" or "dog". I really find those terms offensive. Seriously.

I understand bad days, and I did just click on the post saw it was the same and never read further.
