    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

And since then have apologized to him! I also have seen his record and picture from the paper. And that was when we were still in Montana.  If you think that is a bad record?? YOU AND ALICE SHOULD STAY IN WHAT EVER LAND YOU ARE IN!!! The important thing for Dave is what he is doing with his life NOW!! I look forward to meeting Dave in the future.

I do not see why it is nessesary to drag a bunch of peoples names through the mud.Neil is not doing that, infact he is doing quite the opposite. Being suppostive and giving suggestions is one thing, but noone should make claims about someone without very very just and provable cause. People should stick together in hard times, not cause chaos. This is a great site and i really enjoy it. I do not want to see it turned into a mud slinging ring. Opinions are fine. Just remember everybody has one (myself included) and well, you know the rest.

I like John Apple's suggestion.
Don't let ANYONE know about the security measures you are planning to install. THe motion detectors are another gret idea! You can use them without having to worry about your herps setting them off, they cannot see motion though glass.

WHo ever did it, in my opinion knew your entire facility. If they got $500 in cash, then they knew where you keep that too. I know you just don't leave that much $ in the register for the next day. Most stores hide the opening days drawer or lock it in a safe. So i'm thinking inside job! Isn't the first time I have seen this.

ANyway, we are sorry for your loss (again).

How did they get in? You say you have bars on the windows?

Ritchie...that's a very interesting idea...but, do I need a computer to do that?? or will just a camera with some sort of remote something-or-other do the trick??
I would have NO PROBLEM doing that! I think it would be a KICK! Of course...then everyone will be able to see all the dead feces-covered Iguanas!!! I might have to re-think this! lol

We think the only way the bars could have been "Torn off the wall" was with a car jack!! I don't know if you read it or not, but I'm going to have the windows BRICKED OVER!! They're NOT used, anyway! And in the crawlspace above the ceiling, a friend of mine is donating rolls of OLD BARBED WIRE to "roll out" up there!! That should give them a thrill!! My "kids" will eat GOOD that night!! ....Neil
 
Barb wire is too tame, Neil. Getting caught up in it is comparable to a few cat scratches. That'll do the trick nicely!!! Neil,  Im so sorry.  I would love to know who these !@#%^$%^%@Q# are.  I was having a good night until I read about this.  Now I'm all pissed off.  I wish there was some way I could help out.  I live on the East coast of Fla. and will keep an eye and ear out for any of your animals.  Again Neil, Im very sorry for your loss.

I just can't believe it!! What is wrong with society? I hope whom ever did it again will ROT!(Im asuming it was the same person as last time). I dont post here much, but I read a ton of posts and Neil, you seem like such a strong person. I would be INSANE by now!

What I mean is I think there is more to this. Maybe a crooked dealer with some idiots stealing what he needs! You seem to be easy prey. I know there is another herp shop down the road from you. have they had any thefts? If not maybe this is someone you know and knows you and your shop well! I know alot of Reptile shops in the Tampa bay area and they seem to not have the problems you are having, need to think about that.You need to cut loose some gaurd dogs there at night, they are better then any alarm system, alarms dont remove limbs upon entry!  Again Sorry to hear about this!            Robert

Absolutely. Thefts would not exist if there was not a market for the items. Better yet if they have them sold even in advance.

I agree. Not only that but they know about the value of the animals they look for. But it could very well be someone that frequents the store, looks at the animals and even asks questions about them.

It seems to me these were not random burglaries. They are targeted to a specific store/person. Maybe because Neil carries the best reptiles or maybe there is something else behind it. IMHO there was money involved (or expensive animals for that matter), but at the same time they were slightly tainted with a "vendetta" style.

Neil, I'm not so sure the barbed wire is a good idea. I'm sure it would be very amusing to find somebody's shorts and maybe their crown jewels dangling from the wire. I would find it even funnier if you had said jewels stuffed, mounted and displayed prominently over the cash register as a reminder of what happens to thieves. But you leave yourself open to a place on the 2002/2003 STELLA AWARDS. You remember Stella? With your luck I'm sure they'll find a totally sympathetic jury. And a real kick in the pants would be you having to return the jewels. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Sorry to hear about this.  I have been off teaching the troops to kill people and break things for the last three weeks.  Ask Richie about "Razor Wire"  I can probably lay my hands on a roll or two.  I don't raise pytons or boas, but you know I will load you up on Kings and corns if you need them later.  Hope Angies helping the snakes.

I have not been on the BOI for some time reading anything due to my treatments and my health status.....but let me start by saying OMG!!!  If I can offer you any help what so ever, don't hesitate to let me know,.....friends do that even if long distant.
First off.....This Julie stated here that she frequented your shop on a regular basis, as Angie is her pal....I believe that Angie is being wrongfully fingered here....but Julie, on the other hand, with being in your store so often, and has befriended Angie, it seems that Julie would have all time to get any innocent info from Angie, in regards to your animals, ins/outs, hide spots for till, and the security in your store...
secondly....Julie claims that she is a security guard?  just to let her know that she can be terminated/charged for devulging any information that could be used in a case, whether she not be involved or not.  The same goes for the police that she seems to state that she speaks to often in regards to this matter....they can be terminated/disciplined by their government/city employers as it is against policy to devulge any information that could be linked to a case until that case has been closed....
Now, seeing all these little hints that Julie herself has spit out on this public forum, has anyone pulled Julie aside and hazed her for alibies.....her whereabouts on the night(s) in queston??
I have to say that I personally do NOT know Julie not do I have personally interest in her actions (unless they are wrong)
But Neil, like I said, I am truly sorry that you have been hazed wrongly in this matter, and if there is anything that I can offer you, hey let me know!!

Now...Julie IS NOT a security guard....she works the front desk at La Quinta Hotel where the OFF-DUTY COPS are the security guards who TALK TO JULIE when they're by the front desk! Now you get the scenario?? But, I DID call the cops today, but the Detective in charge of my case won't be in till tomorrow....I GUARANTEE YOU that I WILL be speaking to him tomorrow and SHOWING HIM this thread and Julie's posts....I'll let the cops take it from there!! I'M TOO PISSED to be of any help to them!!
I would, however, LOVE to know if MY FRIEND DAVE even KNOWS about this yet?? He hasn't come on here to either stick up for Julie (his girlfriend)! Or to STICK UP FOR ME!!! HIS FRIEND!! WHO'S BEEN STICKING UP FOR HIM SINCE THE BEGINNING!!! Nice payback, Dave!! ....I REALLY appreciate it! ....This must be the, "I'm staying OUT of this one!" ploy! That hurts!
