In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Do you think that was a good idea?? You just copied pictures, trademark, Company name (TSE's and Moonlit Media) and other copyrighted material to another website without the permission or TSE or Moonlit media. You gave gave them the legal right to come after someone for this. I bet Lucille knows the laws pertaining to this. Dont you remember the KS fiasco just for putting his name and such here, and you copy pasted stuff here. You have to think about things before you do them.

.
I thought as long as you were taking someone else's copyrighted materials, and using them to disseminate "info" that it was no big deal. I seem to remember that you condoned stealing of copyrighted caresheets, or maybe you didn't think it was stealing, or something. Maybe I can find that thread it is a year or two old. Just wondered what the difference was, as this one is using the material in direct relation to the business, and this thread, so that doesn't seem as bad to me as taking someone's copyrighted materials and posting them on my own website. Which is what the care sheet thread was about.

I don't think Fauna permits PDF files, but you should be able to conv't them using Photoshop though the quality of the PDF would deteriorate. If it would be of help, I can post them on my server with a direct link.

Actually, yes you can attach PDF documents to a post on this site. It will not be natively read within the post and anyone attempting to read it will need to have Adobe Acrobat on their home system.

I have not received permission from Bob to post the vet report yet. I see that it does show pdf as an acceptable attachment, so I think I can get them on here if he gives me the OK. I'll figure it out, but I appreciate the offers to help. :)

It makes me even unhappier that TSE is advertising looking to buy more imported stuff, and they still don't have time to even answer my emails......

Feel free to express whatever you want. However, nobody was attacking each other or showing disrespect and your intervention wasn't really necessary. Basically you made it look as if I was attacking him.
Jamie, I was expressing a call for everyone to calm down and be rational and I think that is always appropriate when people are upset. Feelings are running high here, there are people who are out money, and they deserve to get refunds, and I hope they do. I admire some of the research done here on this thread and I hope that it bears fruit.
As far as anyone claiming an 'attack', you are the only one so far that claimed that shoe fit

Vet report

Here is the vet report, Bob has asked me to post it. The vet's handwriting is a bit hard to read at times, but it's good enough to see clearly what problems exist.....

For those that don't have the Acrobat reader:

On 4/22/06 I examined two ball pythons owned by Robert England. The female had a normal physical exam and weighed 190 gram and had giardia on her fecal exam. She was treated with Metronidazole/Fenbendazole. The male had several pustules several blisters in his dorsum, ventral, and (can’t tell what it says). I diagnosed him with beginning septicemic/blister disease he was treated with Baytril and Metronidazole/Fenbendazole.

Proof?

Thank you Cathy for posting the pdf. And Jamie thank you for the offer to post. Let me start off by saying that I resent Nicholais challenge to my integrity. I have always lived my live as an example to my children, and nothing has changed that would cause me to discredit TSE for no reason. Nicholai, you stated that you had no contact with anyone at TSE, yet you say in your post that they told you I hadn't provided them enough proof?
I sent them all that I had. I have always had the policy of putting new snakes in my quarantine rack and not bothering them until they acclimate, but if you insist and this is important to you, I will break with my SOP and try and take some pictures. Now is there anything more that you or anyone else would like me to provide as proof. I didn't realize that I would need to bring a camera crew and a lawyer to the vets office. I relied on the fact that #1 She has professional integrity, and #2 She doesn't have a dog in this fight. I am amazed that you would not notice that I have been open and honest throughout this thread, yet you seem to defend Pat/Glenn as some innocent shopkeepers that are being wrongly maligned by some crazy customers who don't understand that they are just tooooo busy to be bothered by minutia, like sick snakes, unhappy customers, etc..

BOB, I am unknowledgeable about snakes

but are these Balls supposed to be c.b. investment snakes? Are these diseases related to snakes that are born and raised here? I understand that they have not contacted you with regard to this problem, so what do you intend to do about it?

Thanks for the info, Rich! That's good information to know! :)

Yes they are supposed to be a CB pair of 100% het for pied, that were (by their photo guarantee) bred in their own facility. I paid $1500 for them.
What do I intend to do? I will have to eat the cost of treatment for them, because I will not ignore the snakes, because I'm upset with TSE. What can I do from Texas to someone in NY. I could get a judgement against them, but that will only provide a moral victory. I just hope that Chris does the right thing and refunds my payment, for the sake of his reputation, not TSEs, but his.

Here is the link to the thread you reffered to, it says my views on it in the thread. It concerns the sharing of caresheets and nothing else.

Are we back to the "Why are you defending TSE" again?? I thought we got past that when i answered knobtail.

Oh Nicholai...

Where for art thou defender nicholai... :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

thats cute!! Where does this post get you??

Thank you for getting that posted for everyone to see Robert. Now to make things right by you what would Chris/Tse have to do?

1) Pay all the vet bills?
2) Take the snakes back and refund your money plus vet bills?
3) other

Maybe they will read this and try to find some kind of mutual ground to make this right.

Nicolai,
I hope that is what happens for Bob. But I also hope that others who have customer service problems do not have to go through 88 pages to get their needs met. Everyone in business has an off day sometimes, if they had only taken 5 minutes to come here, apologize for the delays, and get started immediately making restitution this would have had a different and better outcome from TSE. Busy they may be, but customer service is #1.

I doubt they are bothering to read this and if they are, their silence (and previous emails) indicate that they couldn't care less anyway.

You are most welcome.

I think option 2, the exam charges I will pay for because, I would have taken them to the vet anyway. At this point a refund seems to be in order, that way, to quote Pat/Glenn they can be done with me, and I won't have to worry that 3-4 yrs down the road they won't prove out.

Robert, since the Vet has diagnosed them with giardia I would be very careful with them and use gloves especialy if you have children in your house. This is some info i found on it and it appears it is very contagious through contact with feces and such and even off bathroom fixtures.

What is giardiasis?
Giardiasis (GEE-are-DYE-uh-sis) is a diarrheal illness caused by a one-celled, microscopic parasite, Giardia intestinalis (also known as Giardia lamblia). Once an animal or person has been infected with Giardia intestinalis, the parasite lives in the intestine and is passed in the stool. Because the parasite is protected by an outer shell, it can survive outside the body and in the environment for long periods of time.

During the past 2 decades, Giardiainfection has become recognized as one of the most common causes of waterborne disease (found in both drinking and recreational water) in humans in the United States . Giardia are found worldwide and within every region of the United States.

How do you get giardiasis and how is it spread?

The Giardia parasite lives in the intestine of infected humans or animals. Millions of germs can be released in a bowel movement from an infected human or animal. Giardia is found in soil, food, water, or surfaces that have been contaminated with the feces from infected humans or animals. You can become infected after accidentally swallowing the parasite; you cannot become infected through contact with blood. Giardia can be spread by:

Accidentally putting something into your mouth or swallowing something that has come into contact with feces of a person or animal infected with Giardia.
Swallowing recreational water contaminated with Giardia. Recreational water includes water in swimming pools, hot tubs, jacuzzis, fountains, lakes, rivers, springs, ponds, or streams that can be contaminated with sewage or feces from humans or animals.
Eating uncooked food contaminated with Giardia.
Accidentally swallowing Giardia picked up from surfaces (such as bathroom fixtures, changing tables, diaper pails, or toys) contaminated with feces from an infected person.
What is the treatment for giardiasis?
Several prescription drugs are available to treat Giardia . Although Giardia can infect all people, young children and pregnant women may be more susceptible to dehydration resulting from diarrhea and should, therefore, drink plenty of fluids while ill.

If I have been diagnosed with giardiasis, should I worry about spreading the infection to others?
Yes, a Giardia infection can be very contagious. Follow these guidelines to avoid spreading giardiasis to others:

Wash your hands with soap and water after using the toilet, changing diapers, and before eating or preparing food.
Do not swim in recreational water (pools, hot tubs, lakes or rivers, the ocean, etc.) if you have Giardia and for at least 2 weeks after diarrhea stops. You can pass Giardia in your stool and contaminate water for several weeks after your symptoms have ended. This has resulted in outbreaks of Giardia among recreational water users.
Avoid fecal exposure during sexual activity.

How can I prevent a Giardia infection?
Practice good hygiene.

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Wash hands after using the toilet and before handling or eating food (especially for persons with diarrhea).
Wash hands after every diaper change, especially if you work with diaper-aged children, even if you are wearing gloves.
Protect others by not swimming if you are experiencing diarrhea (essential for children in diapers).
