In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bruce, we are talking about Wes as a moderator and you are about an inch short of antagonizing a moderator and receiving a warning for it.
I would say that deliberately trying to provoke a moderator who was having a "misunderstanding" with another member IS antagonism...at least it is in this case.

Dang Anthony I didn't know you had a sense of humor!!!;) I too can Vouch for our new comedian being a good guy and he keeps a boat load of them semi arboreal snakes....

Bruce you wrote this "" Wes Pollock is a psychopath in my opinion. Others have sent me e-mails describing him with the term "nut-job" in them.""

Yeah and that description of you is like someone describing me as tall...

Since tony did not know the first time I dinged him I'm fine with it being removed. The second one for his pm stands.

Jen, I stated why I'd change Vets and I'll add that anyone who can say that this one animal is the vector when they know that rescue animals have been through your collection as well as a male breeder that was placed with at least one of your females soon after his arrival. As well as I hate to say it again but your quarantine procedures ETC ETC. Anyone who can say they know this one animal is the vector knowing all this, seems rather irresponsible and to be at the very least jumping the gun.. Randy

Are we now making phone calls to notify people when they get warnings??? Seems a bit strange doesn't it...Randy

No...not at all. I actually had been meaning to call Anthony for weeks, but due to my schedule I never get around to it. This little spat reminded me (and I knew that he was up late since he'd been posting), so I called him...and I couldn't miss out on a perfectly good opportunity to give him crap about something... ;)

As you can tell, he was pretty broken up by the whole thing...it took a while, but I was able to talk him through the emotional damage. ;)

Oh no...I'm back down to 3 points? Just when I was getting over the loss of my clean record and starting to embrace my new "bad boy" image. :crying:

Three points just seems so mediocre. It's like I'm not committed to being a bad boy, but I can't be a nice guy with a clean record either. Great, now I have an identity crisis on my hands... Here come the confusing thoughts again...

And Captain Pollock, I'm sure it must be difficult talking about your lacking any sense of real accomplishment in life and the need to feel a sense of importance. I guess calling you a jerkoff was unnecessary...afterall, nobody knows what you are better than you.

Wow, now I'm really confused...should I be a psychologist or go see one for my identity crisis?

Wow...I came to the BOI as a good upstanding citizen yesterday and now I'm a just a bad boy with no real commitment to my image. I guess that's what I get for messing with the Captain.

Ok, really...I'm done here for real this time. It's been fun everyone...I can definitely see the appeal of "playing" on the BOI.

Until next time...:IThankYou

Yeah maybe so and so you say, but he did get just a tad schmucky to go off on Wes the way he did in my opinion.
Do me a favor Chuck, go back and re-read everything, and get the whole timeline straight. See who started being rude first. I'll give you a hint though...it wasn't Anthony. ;)

I know that you and Wes enjoy being hard on people around here sometimes...and that's FINE. Quite frankly, you guys often say what I want to say, but refrain. I have no problem with that because most of your targets deserve it...but not all of them do. Just a little something to think about. :)

You make a very valid point - I think I counted about 8 or so new animals added to her collection within 6 to 8 weeks prior to the first signs of illness - I was a little fuzzy on when the boas were added so they weren't counted. Included in those were three very listless rescues - who were thought to be malnourished - could they have been carrying the virus? As well two animals from a collection that also had an animal die. The two big girls. And the Het. Knowing Jens quarantine status I can't see how any Dr. worth their salt would automatically assume the Het was a carrier solely based on the origins of the animal - that makes no sense to me.

Further - just because the virus originated in Texas doesn't mean that's the only place it is - and certainly if this thing can remain dormant for any length of time or not "infect" the host animal we may have a huge IBD type issue on our hands.

The pathologist specifically stated that "they have documented proof that this virus originates in collections in Texas". Therefore that would mean that in order to get the virus, you have to buy a snake from one of those infected collections. [/Qoute]

I'd like to see this documentation.

[Qoute]I have never bought a snake from anyone in Wisconsin either -- only my very first ball python almost 4 years ago.

jen, do you see how this statement, one in which you directly contradict yourself, which you have done before, could cause someone to have a difficult time following what you write?

The following is from post 390 where tony got butthurt. I don't think I started this one. I think the last line proves my point.

Hi Everyone. Point well taken. I'm not sure if I agree with the "scum bag" label. Jen's posts left me unsatisfied as to whether any of her issues were Wyatt's fault. When someone repeatedly demonstrates such a poor understanding of resp. illness, I can't really take their posts to heart.

That said, it's interesting to see that someone else bought a snake from Wyatt and it too has an RI. That being the case, I can't take a risk of bringing in a potentially sick animal.

Wes,

You've never spent a dime with me or anyone I know of, so quit acting like some "major player" and threatening me with a boycott.

The only place in our hobby I've ever heard of you is here, so I'm more inclined to believe your real hobby is the BOI, not reptiles.

That being said, your opinon is of little importance when I'm making a decision about who or who not to buy from. I tend to listen to those who have something meaningful to add to the conversation...not people who have nothing better to do than offer their opinion on every matter that comes along.

I come here to read facts, not your opinion on everything that comes up. Please, go get yourself a bug zapper and leave the message posting to people who have something useful to add.

I did and I still think Anthony got himself way bent out of shape over the suggestion that he might be boycotted for doing business with wyatt. To me he didn't even need to mention Wes or address him at all since he had already decided that it was just too risky to bring one of wyatts animals into his collection. But he just had to address Wes's comment.

And so.....it seems to have gone all downhill from that point with Anthony's posts becoming ruder and ruder.

He sure is a sensitive fella.

Can you say WILDCAUGHT!!! Let me tell you this, I have been raising and breeding herps for over 15 years and for someone to post that they had purchased wild caught adults, had a subpar quarantine and one WC died but yet has decided to blame a virus in a round about way it on a C.B.B. ball python, SOUNDS REALLY FUNNY. She nore anyone here has yet to convince me otherwise and the whole ( MY VET SAYS IT ORIGINATED IN TEXAS ) story sounds a little like someone who is grasping for straws because the stories have never matched up as many of you have stated and the timeline just makes no sense. But hey, if you were trying to make sure that no one accused the so called virus of starting in your collection, would'nt you be doing what she is doing and running out of lies just to save face???? Again SHOW US ALL THE PAPERWORK and please post the phone number to this vet that states all this because I will call him as soon as I get it and will report it back in this forum as well as requesting documentation to post here showing these studies have originated from Texas collections. Because Jen, you are really putting not only me but another few big breeders in an awkward position when you start implying things about Texas collections that might inhibit our sales and affect our business. So I would really encourage you to think about what you are posting or stating because without any proof you might find yourself in a court of law defending your assumption and I will guarantee you that those of us in Texas with collections and a decrease in sales since you started posting can show any judge the facts to back that up! Not to mention you are only hurting any future sales that you might have, because who would want to buy from a person that has been stating over and over that she has had a bad virus in her collection and had several snakes die from it?? Not me!!

Thanks,
Wyatt

Just read that again. Maybe im the only one with thoughts of unease about this sort of thing, more along the lines of the last part than the first ( the first part is just silly) But. i want it pointed out.

Ive made my decision, and it wasn't based on what Jen has said.

So you're already feeling the pain. Good. Want some more? Just slip your attorney $400 for a consultation fee and watch him laugh his ass off.

Yeah, that last sentence makes me think Mr. Wyatt would not admit to having an illness in his collection IF it started there.

I wouldn't ever buy from a person who considers "hushing up" or "sweeping under the rug" the RIGHT thing to do, should an illness ever sweep through their collection.

Hopefully, Damion meant he wouldn't "broadcast" the fact to everyone in existance, but that he would NOTIFY anyone he had recently done business with if he discovered something like this, but that's not the way I read it.

Still doesn't prove where the disease came from, but speaks volumes on the writer's ethics, if I understood the last sentence as the writer intended.

Can you believe that crap? The scumbag is actually trying to scare her and threaten her to sweep this under the rug.

People are interesting creatures. The way they talk, the way they read, the way the do things that they don't talk about.

I've been involved in advertising various businesses for years. I've also been a people watcher for even longer.

Here's some facts and a bit of conjecture.

Fact: if you send or place an advertisement where 100 people will see it you will generally get one or two for every hundred who see it respond to it. That responce will vary from an inquiry to an actual purchase but ONLY 2 out of 100 do ANYTHING at all other than read the ad.

We've had maybe 4 people actually say that they won't do business with wyatt. Extrapolating from my original theory that means that at least 800 DIFFERENT people have read this thread. I'd say that number was pretty close to correct.

Conjecture: 3-4 people will see an ad, not inquire or purchase but decide based on that ad whether or not to do business with the company/person the ad represents.

This now gives us 2 to 6 people out of every hundred, estimated at 800, who are not going to do business with wyatt. 16 to 48 possible transactions lost.

ALL of those 800 will talk about wyatt with at least 1 or 2 other people.

wyatt has screwed himself royally.

Way to go wyatt.

Now, had wyatt not ALREADY been a scumbag for the way he treats his customers he would not be in this situation, he would have a reputation that could stand some scrutiny.

Sucks to be you, eh wyatt.

Should have taken proper care of your past customers, eh wyatt.

Feelin' like a dumbass, eh wyatt?
