    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi All, Do to an ice storm and phone difficulties I haven't been here in almost a month.
When I came back I wasn't surprised that all of you are still here protecting people from getting scammed.:D
However, I was surprised that on Upstate's site they had a breeder 0.1 Het Piebald Boa. C'mon, I haven't been out of the loop that long have I?
Hey Upstate, I hope you didn't get those Het Albino Boas you have for sale from the same person who sold you that Het Piebald Boa. If you did I think you may have been scammed at least a couple of times.

That's about as CHEAP and as LOW as you can get....

Discusting treatment of a customer THEY OWE money to, throw that on their testimonials for outstanding customer service.
 
In all fairness, that is probably an autoresponder set up for when they are closed. Doesn't excuse all the other stuff.

If Upstate Exotics keeps doing this, the legal trouble they can be in will be granting them a " trip upstate"...... ( rim shot ).........;)

You're right Daniel; I hadn't considered such as being possible. You're also right that, in order to be fair, we have to give even the worst of customer service providers the benefit of the doubt. However, that's not so much a problem when one considers the VAST amount of evidence which indisputably shows them to be the BAD GUYS they are in the customer service area!

Maybe upstate exotics should get out of reptiles and into politics, they seem like the perfect people for it........... and well qualified!

How are you? I will openly state how disappointed I am with this response. All the information is supplied on this complaint with your company. All facts are supplied. For customer service purposes can you not at least say we are going to resolve the issue with you regarding your refund. I know this is redundant but will list time frames that you have had to fix this particular issue and review. 04/06/03-04/19/03 to resolve verification of genetics. From 04/19/03-04/30/03 to give proper refund. All facts and information has been provided here I don't want to repeat it. It is so sad that the people who run upstate exotics need money so badly that they would do this to a customer.This person has been very patient and given ample time to resolve the issue of the refund.

I still don't get it. Where did you guys see the ad for the hetero piebald boa? I just visited Upstate Exotics web page and the only thing posted there is an hetero for albino female together with an hetero reverse stripe male. I reserached almost all boa breeders and I can't find one reference to anyone that owes a piebald boa that could have produced an hetero. It's not that I have the money to buy one, but would like to see a picture at least. Any hints?

This is an easy one! I know exactly where they got the
hetero piebald boa. It is Jesse Underhill stock. At least,
it is one of the few that the 'big boa breeder' didn't
ship overseas.

I also viewed their web page earlier and they were advertising a het for Piebald boa, perhaps they corrected themselves after reading about the goof here on the BOI.

I'm pretty sure that Piebald boas have not been produced yet. If by chance one of the 'big' breeders have come across a few and are working with them I find it highly doubtful that a 100% het found it's way into Upstates' hands. Of course I guess anything is possible. ;)

It was there earlier this week. I looked at the add when Richie posted a link to it. It was here:

And it said 0.1 het piebald boa~or something to that effect, obviously I did not save the pic and my memory of it may not be exact. I AM sure it said het piebald boa and that it was Upstate Exotics web page, but exact wording or exact picture I am not positive of. I *think* it said het for piebald where it now says 0.1 het albino~ But I could be mistaken. I didn't realize at the time that there was no such critter as a piebald boa, so I couldn't figure out why Ritchie was offering cash to buy a het from Upstate Exotics.
 
The pic for the het albino is the same one that was describing the het piebald. Looks like they typed "piebald" when they should have typed "albino".
