In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Vincent Russello, attempting a scam

According to the ad on Reptibid, the red gecko had already fertilized eggs. When will those hatch?

I would give them another 3 weeks, at least, the incubation temp is pretty low, around 81. I was told i would have to breed these babys back to the father to prove out if this was genetic or just a fluke.

if you go back threw the 30 plus pages, there is pics with a hypo tang leo and the red leo together as a contrast

Problem is, Vince, that I haven't seen a single photograph on this entire thread that shows this critter as anything other than a nicely colored orangish yellow.... except for the disputed picture, which you seem to think is the ONLY one of all the photos you've posted that actually displays his color.

So the picture must have gone *POOF* because there is no picture that really shows well enough. Don't you know ANYONE with a decent camera? It will sure be hard to sell "New Morph Babies" if you can't even provide a decent photograph of the supposed New Morph Papa!

The only thing that has caused "FUSS" is your posting a misrepresented picture of an animal and nothing more. If you are now so worried about this quality new morph getting into someone else's hand than why is it still up for auction?? You can not back peddle out of this one Vince. You have been caught trying to pull a scam, you are being shown for it and you are being given the opportunity to clear your name and get a full retraction if it truly is represented accurately in the picture. OK I will even go this far, Ship the animal to me, I will have Mike from MotherGecko open the box in front of me (if he is willing to participate in this experiment) if the animal looks like that picture (attached) when opened and after a shed I will still pay you the $500 and I will send the animal back to you and even let you keep it to prove it genetically out. There you go, you can't get a better offer than that from ANYONE.

I believe this needs to stay on here so that EVERYONE can see this and know about you, this animal, and your supposed well represented picture.

it is pretty much just personal, you wouldnt sell me something , so why should i cater to your request? i really dont have to prove it this way, i can prove it by produceing red leos. or even getting a quality photo.

the transcript can be posted here, this is not an attempt to draw attention away from this thread

A chat room won't provide us all with a quality, believable photograph. Perhaps if you just waited for five or six posts and then answered ALL THE QUESTIONS in ONE POST it would not require you to keep posting all the 'one-liners'.

Rob, Not only would I come over to see the unveiling, I would offer $500 on top of it and we can co-own this 'new morph' project together. That's $1000 if it's truly RED like the first pic otherwise no thank you.

Vince, We had an awesome trade together and I won't complain one bit about it, the stuff I recieved was great. You had a bump in with the BOI not too long ago and were man enough to admit your mistake. I think you may have even gained some respect from some of the people here for doing so. Sit back for a few and think all this over.

mike, i would offer this gecko up to you for free, if we can be partners you have more females and experiance , this is something i was greatly concider. I made my sales to cover bills, had to say bye bye to my redfoots , witch i am not to happy about. so is this something you would like to do? or am i to low on the food chain to work with on this type of level.

as much respect as everyone on fuana has for RK he went as far as to kick me when i was down and say i am on his no sale list, so pretty much i would never do any bussiness with him. so he can offer up truck loads of money it wouldnt matter its moral thing. but i will really sit down and think about working out some kind of breeding program with you, i am currently bidding on red stripe leo females on reptibid.com so i dont know if i should fly solo on this or go in it with you becuse your name is more credability due to mine being smashed and bashed by my self and others on the BOI. something we can talk about more off this site.

Vince,

You really have no memory do you? I made that statement in regards to the way you were acting, treating that person you wrongfully posted against and your overall attitude toward everyone. I was not the only one to make that statement at that time and did not kick you when you were down. There were many of us trying to help you out but you refused to see that and continued your attacks and such and deserved at that time everything you got from everyone. You seemed to have grown up a little bit after that then reverted back and then went on after realizing your mistakes. This whole thing has not been a personal attack against you but rather trying to get to the truth. The truth has been shown in my eyes and probably everyone else's as well. The picture you posted is totally different than every other picture you have posted since and that shows that the first picture was not a true depiction of this animal and therefore was being used as a scam. Whether it was intentional or not the animal is misrepresented as it does not look like that picture in any other picture. Why don't you send the animal to Mike, let him check it out (I will even go by and witness it myself as well) and then the truth can be posted on here for everyone to see.

i am currently bidding on red stripe leo females on reptibid.com

OK, so what happened to the bills that are piling up if you have money to bid on animals? I don't know you, never done any trades with you, and have no bias. I have "red" this from start to finish. The red image was blurry because the focus on you camera could not lock on the gecko due to the red light. How do I know this? I attempted pictures of my gecko with the red night light on and was unable to get it in focus. I own top end Canon SLR and take pictures as a side project so it is not my shooting ability it IS the light factor.

Here is an image that I reduced the red with in Photoshop - by the way the only way the focus would lock was when I turned on bright white lights around the cage. See how her head is pinkish red? That is not her color, but it looks that way with the light. She must be het for your morph possibly. :p

Vince, I was somewhat being sarcastic when offering $500 for it, my apologies, like I said I have been ill and have gone without sleep longer than any man should. Also I apologize for not answering your IM's or anyones else's, I just don't have the strength for it right now, nothing personal to anyone. I wouldn't go partners with you on it just due to the fact I personally don't think it's anything new, a nice looking gecko surely, although nothing I havent seen before. Like I said previously in comparison to the last two pics on the first page of this thread, I have produced and seen many geckos like that before. I would though however, go in on it with Rob if I believed it were a 'new morph'. Rob is a good man and someone I have known, trusted, and done good business with many times since I first got into the herp trade. I would even send Rob the $500 without ever seeing the gecko if he got it and said it was red, as to me his word is gold. I refer people to Rob without any concerns of seeing threads here that say 'possible scammer', it just doesn't happen with him and there's reason in that, and in which I think you should ponder a while. Vince, I won't pretend that this doesn't look good for you as a picture is truly worth a 1000' words. Damn I need to be in bed........

No time to read all previous 35 pages right now, although I think I will later.

A suggestion, and sorry if someone else already thought of it: someone who has a digital camera and a black light may want to take a pic of a Leo under a balcklight, upload the pic into their pc, and then under a photo edit program turn the image into a negative. Maybe this would be the result, maybe not. One thing I am pretty sure of is that Gecko is not that color naturally, nor is the rim of the plastic box on which it sits, nor the highlights of the lid, nor are the specs of crud on the box, nor is the background. Could that crud in the pic be traces of a flourescent marking substance - that lizard looks to actually glow red just like it is part of a hippy poster under a blacklight???

Then again, I don't know, maybe that is a new color for geckos, crud, box rims, box lid highlights, and backgrounds; and maybe Salvador Dali was a painter of real world scenes.

I love it, groovy, and psychadelic too..........oooohh behave baby!

Best regards,
Glenn B;)

I just wanted to demonstrate a good example of how to try and accurately depict the color of an animal. This is an archive pic of a sand boa I have whose color is hard to capture on film. This picture was taken with a 2.0 MP camera by me, the world's most amateur photagrapher. The animal shown is no more inclined to sitting still than leopard geckos, but I still managed to get a decent shot. If you can get a pic like this, without it being blurry, and the picture shows a shred of red, it will cancel out the previous 30 pages. You could put a normal animal in the shot to show contrast, too, I chose not to do that. The white background should be sufficient.

Vince ignores the questions that will make the hole he is digging even deeper. He will comment on anything and everything but the questions that he should be answering.
