In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Vincent Russello, attempting a scam

by the way i have 3 different emails from people wanting to buy this leo after seeing this thread. wow what a scam i am running. i guess i scamed all the people i have dealt with threw fauna that have left me feedback as well. please cut the rude stuff out, im all for discussion and criticism, but i am not and have never tried to scam anyone. i may be a lot of things but not a scammer

Vince,
I didn't mean to piss you off. I just wanted to make sure you didn't get into any trouble. I would hate to see good intentions go extremly wrong for you.

trust me , im used to this type of thing from seamus, i am defently not mad at you or anyone else. i just feel strongly that i need to defend myself. i completely understand where you are comeing from. and thanks for the concern. the only place you will find the photo in question is right here on this thread. should i remove the photo with the baseball cap. i wouldnt want someone to think i scamed them if they only got the leo and not the hat as well. :D

Vince

The problem with ALL of your arguments is this: The items SURROUNDING your red gecko are red also. This is one of two things, either the picture was taken under a red light, which I think is the case, or it was a bad photoshop touch up. You cannot say the red picture is an acurate portrayal of the gecko, if you do, you are fooling yourself and nobody else.

please read the whole thread before you think you know the whole story, i have taken differnt photos with the same light to show it wasnt a red light. and have myself confirmd that this light did have an effect on the color as a whole in the photo(for the worse in the geckos case)

I read the whole thread...

and it is rediculous that you are even attempting to defend the photo, come on man. Are you the same Vince who was saying the Ball Python theft at Jeff's house was a scam.......if you are, I find that really ironic, and moronic.

Dave

yeah that was me, and i didnt know who jeff was when i said it MAY BE a scam and i was wrong. just like you think this is a scam and you are WRONG. alright i see this thread is going down hill fast. I will step up and not reply to every insult or jab. to me everything you are saying might as well be jibbberish

Okay, I'll publically make an offer to you to buy this gecko based on your pictures taken in natural light, which are a nice golden yellow and the most accurate you've taken to date.

$19.99

That's what I'd pay at Petco. Did you breed this gecko? If not can you have the original breeder post and verify the genetics of this animal? Do you have the original receipt of purchase?

Otherwise I'm going to assume that you purchased this gecko from a local petstore and thought it was nice enough to turn a profit on by representing as special with that red biased picture. After all you did mention you have bills that need to be paid. I suppose that is enough of an incentive to try and make a quick buck. Because this is not a business to you, you've demonstrated that with your paypal fee, which any honest businessperson recognizes as a cost of doing business. But you're just here to make a quick buck.

If any of you purchased this "not" so RED Leopard Gecko believing it looked as the “not” enhanced picture in Vince’s advertisement would you be a happy customer?
Vince, Just because you have all the bill collectors chasing you doesn't give you the right to misrepresent your merchandise.

The difference being I can provide my receipt from when I purchased my Ghost.

And I'm serious, you're going to pass on my offer? I'll even pay for shipping cause you're such a good guy, I'll bill it to my UPS account.

I'm publically offering to stand behind the gecko you have for sale by purchasing it at fair market value. I can go to petco tomorrow and take pictures of geckos that look exactly the same. And I can get them for $19.99 plus tax. I'm willing to bypass sales tax and pay shipping to support a FC member.

I'm only going to offer once.

Hmmm, I have not seen a one of a kind RED Leopard Gecko as you stated. I think the $19.99 offer Steve Beckerman offered you is a VERY FAIR offer but like you said you have bill collecters chasing you down so I guess you feel the need to rip someone off to pay your outstanding debts.

Honest Question

Vince,

I guess the thread you made here advertising the auction has been deleted, but you had said in that post that you would also consider trades. I had posted a reply asking you how you could consider trades when the animal was already committed to the winner of the auction, and I didn't know how someone could bid a "trade"?

I haven't purchased anything from Reptibid, and I was honestly asking that question.

terese, i replyed in that AD before i removed it. I said that you could simply bid the trade value. like if you traded me somethig worth 166 you can bid 166. you know what im saying?

I think you guys should leave little Vince alone before he blows up again and gets another suspension and $10 fine. He won't be able to afford to pay the fine since the bill collector is knocking at the door. Then he'll have to break down and sell his "one of a kind cobalt blue gecko" he has.

jibbity jabity cobility geckoie flibbity

Thanks for the answer, Vince. I didn't see your reply before the thread got deleted. I do understand, I think. So to do that, a potential buyer would have to email the seller with a description/photo of the trade animal (or item) and tell them they feel it's worth XX amount....and the seller would have to agree before the potential buyer could realistically place the bid for that amount, right?
