I also should mention that I wouldn't have lost or had to put down any of those egg bound females if I would have made it to PA that weekend to see Mark insted I went to a local vet who told me That egg bound animals can't be saved. I belived her and let her put some fo my animals to sleep. I was too stupid to know any better and belived what she had told me. I was absolutly devistated that I couldn't find a ride to go see mark. He had later told me all those girls could have been saved.

The male wasn't agressive the other female in the tub was. She grabbed the tail and just chomped. I pulled her off and off came Butters tail in her mouth. How do you know my other point didn't effect me? Are you some majic text reader and can somehow read my emotions? You also answered your own question in your last post. I was talking about myself like anouther person because I didn't want others to know who I was yet. I made a bad rep for myself I know that and like I keep saying I was young and embarrassed and I really let what others think of me get to me.

Yes 7+ females.... I don't know if you've ever read my posts to people who are considering breeding but i'm very adiment in convinceing them not to rush into it. I've learned my lesson, unfortionatly the hardest way possible.

Okay, exactly how many geckos was she housed with? I've been hearing so many different stories now. First that it was a cage mate, then that it was a photoshoot, now it sounds like a cage mate thing again?

I've explained it all before. I'm done explaining it, i'm sick of repeating myself. Let people read this and think what they want. It dosen't matter to me. I have real world crap going on and I don't need to be sitting here trying to explain all of my mistakes that i've made over the past 3 1/2 years of keeping cresteds. I've had a few big ones and i've paid the price. I have everything down pat yet i'm still getting persicuted for it. Oh well, I guess it'll never go away now. She had been taken to a vet 2 diffrent times because of my concern and he cleared her both times.

No it wasn't.

He's done surgeries,given antibiotics and hospitilazations to my animals (and the whole citys animals) He's more of a call and he will see you animals kind of thing (dosen't really document anything which sounds bad)but i'm sure I can get him to print up something.

Like I said before I call him a vet because thats what he is to me and yeah I guess that means he's practicing without a liscense.

That makes him sound bad.

No quarantine, using an unlicensed vet, and hiding your identity.
It doesn't sound like you have everything down pat.

It's really none of anyones buissnes at this point. Half of this crap she is bringing up is from over 2 years ago. I was a kid I was stupid. I didn't know my vet was unliscends untill this BOI started. I guess I'll look at the certificates on the wall closer the next time i'm there. Everything was down pat untill zack put my yellow females together with my male then this whole shit storm started. She was in quarenteen and like I said before it's my fault for trusting zack to do anything with the animals. I was trying to be nice about it Jateui because it was a big accedent but the animal is fine. Shes of a healthy weight she eats like a horse and she hasn't been bred. What more can you want. Now I have to head off to my oncologists. This will be my last post.

I may have misread something but didn't you state that you didn't want to intentionally breed her yet? That statement above completely contradicts what you claim.

How do you figure it was in quarantine?
It was kept in the same room with your other animals, placed in the same tub for with other animals for breeding and photo taking purposes.

Half of this crap she is bringing up is from over 2 years ago.

This issue is stemming from about a month ago.

Kaitlyn, like I said before, I posted this as information and was going to leave it at that. People will take it as they will. You say it was all a mistake and it won't happen again, yet it seems to be things that already happened in the past. It sounds like it was a heavier lost in the past, but you don't seem too concerned with it happening again from the way you're saying things.

I had no intentions of breeding her when I bought her.

If I had been in the room it wouldn't have happened but like stated before he didn't penitrate anyways so lucky me.

So either she was introduced, again, or the male really did do the job right even though you claim you saw proof that he did not.
Crested geckos take roughly 30 days to start laying eggs. Lowest incubation period I've ever heard of was 47 days, on average it's 65-85.
So if the gecko was knocked up on the day she was introduced to the male, on 5/12, then she likely laid her first clutch a month later, roughly 6/12. Assuming the incubation period was 47 days, the gecko would have hatched out July 29th, however the hatchling was recorded to hatch out on 8/9, just 11 days later. That wouldn't be long enough to lay another clutch of eggs, so it's only safe to assume it was from the first clutch.

Yet it's still marked as a failed copulation.


But to top it off, the gecko was recently placed for sale. It looks like she already sold the tokay, from the sounds of it she tried selling it after just a month of getting the animal.
I never heard a response after trying to contact Kate to try to buy the animal back, however she was still coming online and responding the comments and the like.
She claims the animal is still no longer for sale, but the classified page is still up.
