holes in his story?
note that the APTORS are born without banding. this is the "patternless" gene he refers to.
though he says they "...often carry the gene for reverse stripe?"
first of all...
wouldnt "reverse stripe" be a pattern?
second...
are stripes polygenic or not (he apparently claims they are polygenic)? if so than how could they carry "THE gene for reverse stripe"?????
and i dont know where Ron Tremper learned to use a punnet square but crossing two hets, when dealing with reccesive genes, will never create 50/50 ratio reccesive phenotype to normal phenotype.
the guy cant even work a simple punnet square? one week giants are reccesive, another they are codominant? stripes are recessive than they are polygenic (which i completely agree they are polygenic)??
i just dont know but i cant wait to read the new book. i hope he graphs out the punnet square he used to figure out how two simple reccesive hets create 50/50 aptors/hets. that should be interesting!
