In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Along with the silverback I purchased 6 double hets(hypo and silverback). If one of these hets proves out, I should be hatching some of these by christmas. Hopefully some hyposilvers, leather silvers, and hypoleathersilvers too.

Josh

Hey Josh. How did the breedings go? What was the result? Any silverbacks? I truly hope these are 'compatible' with the Witblits! Our 2010 hatced a few days ago. Lost quite a few eggs in the incubator but managed to get a few paternless and a couple of hets. Can not wait for our orange german giant het. witblits to hatch! That male silverback is awesome!

Hi Jaques,

I had a bit of a setback. One of the supposed hets from japan did not prove out. I jinxed myself by speaking too soon.

I bred a het witblits to a het silverback. The female definately is gravid. We should hopefully find out in a couple months if the two lines are compatible.

What I really want to find out is if they can for sure be made into solid colors. These may be a type of leucistic.

Glad to hear your breedings are going well.

Josh

Melissa,

Yea I have one. I did not buy it and have it exported. I obtained it threw another breeder. If i would have spent the money on the one I have, I probably would be pretty upset. Or maybe alittle more than pretty upset. :yesnod: This genetic trait def. needs some T.L.C.

Jacques,

I would like to stay positive and just have to say.... I hope you have more luck than I have been having....

I know this is an older post, but I was wondering what the issues are with this morph? Slow grower? Weak? Please give us some information. I fell in love with this Patternless morph the first time I saw them and would love any info you might be willing to share. Thanks in advance.

Usually, new mutations like the witblits aren't going to be perfect the first time around. They definately need to be outcrossed to push the morph in a forwards direction. I see a lot of similarities with these, and the first transluscents.

The silverback line has been around for years in Japan. It was up until recently, they have become available. The silverback is perfect in every way. All the babies from him grow quickly and evenly, eat like pigs, fat bodies and tails, etc.

Josh

These two males are babies from the Witblits x citrus tiger leatherback.

This is a young het silverback pair.

The orange hypo male is: silverback x red transluscent
The female leather is: silverback x citrus tiger leather

Thank you!

Yes...I crossed the two lines together(het to het) and got a clutch of eggs about 3 days ago. The leather male in the pic is the father.

If I produce them, they will be available here in the states.

Josh

Hopefully they look better then the original ones. By what you crossed them to it sure looks like it.

Good luck!

The Silverback and Witblits are definately two seperate genetics. I bred a het from each line together, and all the babies are normal. I will post up some pics and more information soon.

We now have 10 different, single mutations to work with. Three have surfaced in the last 2 years. The dragon world is very exciting!

Josh

Just wanted to bump this up a little. I know nothing about beardie morphs, but I'm interested in these patternless and silverback dragons. Very pretty, and as long as the young are strong, healthy, and fast growers, I may be interested in one in the future. So hoping everyone keeps this updated with everything.
