In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

www.thoseanimalguys.com Warning!!!!

No Lance, I was responding to a veiled threat, I know you are slow, but do try to keep up. ;)

Hi Gary. I appreciate your offer to help but I never received a call from you.

Mark (Animal Magic)

And if anyone wonders why I went after Mark in this thread, it is because he said his non-profit rescue supports him, as well as the above statement by him. It seems Gary did not bust his ass fast enough for Gary, he wants the donation for his so-called non-profit rescue.

John you claim I diverted this thread, however, it was diverted when your buddy Gary started whining for a donation to support "him" in post 67.

Mark, asking Gary

I will say one more thing about this, Mark gets free animals and then flips them at market prices. Not only does he not have anything invested in them like the rest of us, but he also wants a handout. He made the claim it is his livelyhood, and John supports that, can anyone else see the fox in the hen house?

How very mature of you... I apologize, I had you all wrong

So, because I am slow, who are not arguing with in your post? Remember all I did with my first post was toss out some bait, you are the one that took it.

Are your pants clean? Or are you the one you speak of?

Many if not all non profits have salaried and hourly employees. Those employees are required to report that income and pay taxes on it. Just because you work for a non profit does not make YOU a non profit.

Also, non profits are required to report the income of all its employees to the federal government.

If Mark is paying himself from his non profit, or using ANY of the money for any other reason than the non profit itself, then that should be reported as personal income and taxes paid on it.

So if Mark is taking money from the non profit, reporting it and paying the proper income taxes on it then I dont see what the problem is here.

However, if Mark is taking money from the non profit for his personal use and not reporting it as income then he is misrepresenting his non profit organization. Which is breaking many laws, not to mention just plain trying to take advantage of people for his own personal gain.

To mess with my animals and my livelyhood is one thing but to mess with my family is something on a different level!
:ack2:

That sure is a nice thick gold chain he's sporting around his neck. Especially nice when you're soliciting for donations all the time and talking about the tremendous out of pocket expenses running a non for profit animal rescue. Maybe its fake.

Is that a Rolex he's wearing too? Well I guess you need a good watch to know when its time to make money. On second glance, it appears it may be a Casio with a calculator on it. Now that makes sense too!

So why now, after 5 years, do you decide to toss out bait? The BOI has been full of fish for years. Bobby has fingered many scammers, some people thought he was nuts, until the scammers unveiled their true colors. I am curious (you come here to argue about the board now after 5 years) what have you done to help on Fauna? I find it odd you complain, yet you do not participate. You are a defined oxymoron.

My last reply

Hey Bill....F**K YOU! To say I wear a Rolex and a nice thick gold necklace is complete Bull! The necklace was a graduation present from my parents that has been around my neck since 1980. As for the watch...I bought it at a yard sale for $4. You really need to think before opening up your big mouth. I don't wear expensive clothing or jewelry becasue I don't have the money and I work with animals. I just got back from assisting the police with an alligator rescue and, as always, I didn't get paid a dime. All the money came out of my pocket.

As for Varnyards accusations that I operate an illegal non-profit...he's just as full of sh*t as you. Neither one of you fat slobs know what you are talking about. I can just picture you two just sitting in front of your computer screens eating everything in sight while most of us work. I'm so sick and tired of your threats via keyboard when you don't have the guts to do it in person. If anyone wants to come out here and sling mud in my face, please do. I don't hide from anyone. I'm fully licensed by the government and my taxes are professionally done each and every year. Everything is reported and my facility is spotless (not just according to me, but according to the local police dept. and the USDA!).

I'm done on this site. Thanks for all your support.

Oh yeah, by the way, I wasn't whining about Gary not helping me. All I did was thank him for the offer and let him know that I hadn't received his call yet. I NEVER asked for anything from him...he said it unsolicited.

AS usual, you have your facts wrong.

Thanks for trying to ruin someone's life. You didn't succeed and I won't let you. I don't have the time (like you two do) to deal with immature losers that have to resort to what you two have done.

One last thing for Varnyard. If you so much as accuse me of running an illegal non-profit or not reporting my income on my taxes, I will sue you for libel. I don't need people trying to give me a bad name...I have a very good reputation across the United States and I'll be damned if I'll sit here and do nothing while you try and tarnish it!

Booby and Chuck,

Sorry fellas but I honestly feel you guys have jumped the gun on this one. I personally dont like Mark's adoption fees but that does not mean the guy is crooked or running an illegal rescue or taking money out of the rescue that he is not entitled to. For you guys to insinuate otherwise without a shred of proof is taking it too far.

I know you fellas both have good intentions and are good people, but in my opinion you are in the wrong on this one fellas.

Oooops.... Thats Bobby... not Booby.... although Booby may be more appropriate this time around. LOL

Holy smokes. That guy Mark has some temper and quite the foul mouth.

Dont we all at one time or another.

Am I wrong for thinking what I'm thinking? A guy in a thick gold chain, running a non profit animal rescue, calling it his livelihood, selling a 12 year old blue & gold macaw for $875 and a boat load of other animals that I view as near retail prices?

Its just my point of view. I gotta get cursed out and called names and threatened because of my point of view?

That really sucks. I'm a better Christian than you, Mark. I'm going to pray for you tonight.

Thats the only thing I had a problem with, the adoption fees. I'm suggesting any of the things you mention up there. The guy is just really bent with Bobby right now and I'm collateral damage.
