In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Yaz Mansour and the dead Boa

Koshy, thats what I told him. David (the buyer) said it will take 7-10 days for the report to get back. I told him I'd like to see it and then from there we could move forward as far as refunding or not.

Here are some of the pics of the boa in my ad:

I have seen a few boas and that one looks the same to me. The eye is tiny even in Yaz's photo. Granted, not sunken in, but its alive in that one.

The faces look somewhat similar but as Diem said in post 11, Yaz's pic of the snake has very dark and distinctive spot beneath his eye but David's pic is barely there.

David if you know for a fact this is Yaz's snake and you opted for a necropsy report why not wait until you get it and Yaz has time to review. He seems like a guy who would keep his word. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for that comparison Dave. I could never have done that. I just know its the same snake, period.

Again, the fact of the matter is this snake died from something it had before it got to my house. I really dont think Yaz knew it and I dont think he would have shipped a snake that was suffering from anything. He is not like that from what I can tell.

All of the feedback I have received came from DVM's on Friday. The actual ones that did the necropsy said what they saw. And you need more?? The refund should be made now. Why would I wait to ask for the refund until I have the necropsy report back when I paid and made the decision to get the necropsy done?! The seller wouldnt have even done one!! I am not asking for reimbursement for the amount I paid for it. In fact, I am not asking for the full refund. Just Paypal the $250 and be done with this nonsense.

Off to bed for me guys. Lets put this thing to rest Yaz.

True!! We all'd be wantin a refund bout now too though!! Transit brings this out!! High altitudes have a way of pushing the infection out the mouth.. Clearing the filled lungs.. Boas can sit like this for years!!! Seen it for years here in az with basketcase rescue boas!! Real sad, but here in az the hot summers have a way of keepin em goin when they are in subprime atmospheres!! Don't work in the east though!! I'm leanin on the full refund based solely on that mucous shot!! That snake would have been returned asap upon visual of that!! Full refund.. Sorry!! I've been in these shoes with even the biggest of names!! I wouldn't be so nice bout this!! Sorry again..

In Yaz's photo the dark spot under the eye is in shadow, as the head is tilted slightly toward the camera. In David's photos it is tilted slightly away from the camera, and probably obscured from view by the curve of the face, and the sinking in of the eye. It is still visible though.

I think a refund including shipping is warranted, and if the issue of the necropsy is pushed, then compensation for those fees should be granted as well.

I'd want necropsy compensation too!! I'm mean sometimes!! Lol

That just ridiculous. I don't think Yaz should pay for the necropsy. But if he does then he should have a copy before he sends David the money. And secondly, Yaz did not ask him to perform the necropsy.

Okay, Davey made me want to open PhotoShop. So, I stared at these pics for a while because the face did not satisfy me as it seems to have suffer some severe distortion following the death and the residue of the urates is distoring some of the spots.

However, I did find this. This, to me, would be infinitely distinctive to this boa. To me, they are one in the same.

But I still think the necropsy report should be provided before any refunds are given or any compensation for that matter. Without a necropsy report there is no proof the animal died due to something on Yaz's part. Even with it, that is hard to tell you. What I would like to know is why an emergency appointment wasn't sought or why the OP waited a day for it. If it was this severe, I'd have brought the animal in immediately.

The condition of the eyes still is confusing to me. To be sunken in that bad after only a few others following death is ... well, confusing.

I don't know if I support a full refund.

Even if that is my boa, it doesnt make sense how he died within 3-4 days when he was PERFECTLY healthy before I shipped him. Even when David (the buyer) received my boa, there wasnt the smallest complaint about anything.

I didnt hear anything from David until THURSDAY at 3:56pm (have all call days/times) stating that the snake had some mucus from his mouth and that he made a vet appointment for Friday. Then on Friday he calls saying that he went to pick up the snake to bring to the vet and it was dead.

Another thing I wanted to point out the boa arrived at 9:15AM. I REQUIRE on ALL SHIPMENTS, I MUST here from the buyer immediately after delivery. I waited and waited and he never called. I called at 9:52AM he didnt answer so I left a voicemail. I called again at 9:54AM and picked up and said everything was perfect and the boa was healthy and great.

Another thing I wanted to point out, the driver stated GARAGE on the tracking number. I CONTACTED UPS and they informed me the driver would have put "Handed to man" or "Handed to person" if the driver actually gave it to someone. Therefore, I am not even sure if David actually was there for the package considering he never called me and the box was delivered GARAGE.

He didn't ask him to perform a necropsy, youre right. But he is demanding copies of it now! He agreed to a refund before. David wanted the necropsy, not Yaz.

:iagree:

You two are both reputable people. This situation should easily be solved between you.

Here is my suggestion...

Yaz, refund David the 250.00 he asks for as it honestly looks like your snake by what Davey Fig has pointed out.

David, please post the necropsy report as soon as you get it to prove the problem lies with the snake PRIOR to being shipped. If it, the problem, doesnt lie with the snake PRIOR to shipping guarantee that you would send the money back to Yaz.

No matter how you both look at this, it needs to get solved between the two of you. Sad to see that boa die like this and whos to know if it could have been prevented. Lets get this problem dealt with swiftly and satisfactorily between the two of you.

Poor boa. To be perfectly honest, I can't say I blame Yaz for wanting some type of report, or at least something more reassuring than some sketchy head shots...especially after the buyer made the post in the other thread praising Yaz, the packaging, and the animal here:

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151881

Anyhow, with all due respect, why isn't it perfectly reasonable to want some substantial proof? If I was the buyer, and the necropsy was already paid for, why not rest assured this issue will be resolved once the data there?
