Hmmmm Truth is stranger than fiction.

I will not talk to anyone who says to me " What the F--- were you thinking/doing....." or anything like that...

I have this same exact phone call, on tape. Do they have a script? Truth is stranger than fiction.

And I didn't even have any communication with them, they communicated some very nasty things to and about me. All because a copyright © infringement, that I never even got to see.

I've dealt with Erik's Reptiles way back, just found the invoice. I have to say it was one off the most beautiful, healthy wellpacked animal that I still own and she produces many beautiful babies.

This isn't a post because of Wendy's and Jeane's attack on me, but because Erik is a very honest seller of quality reptiles and I would have posted this whether or not I had the displeasure of ever coming across the two nastiest people I have ever witnessed in my 20+ years of breeding reptiles.

Comment about the whole scale thing: I think it's general knowledge that she is not smart enough to know how to tare out a scale to make something look smaller. But it's possible that since it's weighing in KG, it's error margin is larger. i'm guessing 5 or even 10 grams +/-. which would make a 7 gram gecko IMPOSSIBLE to accurately weigh, or hardly register on a KG scale.

I made a mistake in this thread yesterday, which I only saw this morning, as you pointed it out after I logged out last night. It wasn't sarcasm, but still a mis-statement. I apologised to you.

Sarcasm? It was flat out accusing me of violating a trust Jim. But I do thank you for the apology in admitting your error about the matter none the less.

You have made false statements as well, which I pointed out, making up facts again.

I said what I thought was going on based on your actions in this thread and the PM you sent me. Could I be wrong? Sure I could, it wouldnt be the first time. One thing I am not wrong about though is that your relationship with Wendy and Jeanne makes it completely impossible for you to be unbiased and impartial on any BOI matter concerning them.

Past experience here tells me not to expect you to address it. How is that fantasy world Sammy ? Seems if I keep wandering into it as you say, I might eventually find you !! Are there lights on ?

Its just not worth it. I took issue with Sammy's accusation that having had someone as a customer (they ordered a chameleon or two about six months ago) should not be a disqualifier, as people post all the time in threads regarding business acquaintances.
I also probably average an email a week from Wendy, although its more like four in a two day period, then none for a month or two. She is usually seeking advice on something, most often animals. She does not always take my advice though.
Of the two, I have only spoken to Jeane in the last 4-8 weeks or so, and it was yesterday. Its been months regarding Wendy. The call dealt primarily with an issue other than this deal. I have never met either. Jeane has always impressed me as being level-headed and a good conversationalist.
Sammy, that any of us are biased about customers or acquaintances is not to be expected? Where not known, I usually acknowledge such ties early in a thread. Fortunately, I also have my watchdogs such as yourself who trumpet the announcement for me. Everyone is more than welcome to take my words however they care to, dismiss them, etc. But since when do members here recuse themselves? Sammy, as for you feeling I need to come forward with something, as my relationship is completely within the parameters I outlined, and very above board ........ well, in this situation, you are just going to have to kiss my ass I know good debate can be trying at times.
Sammy, I believe that you know that I practice every last thing that I have recommended to Erik, and have droves of examples where I bit the bullet for the short term, achieving a better long term. That includes not being quick-on-the-draw to start a thread. It is possible (I do not know) that Wendy threatened a BOI thread, or that she was going to do a chargeback from the beginning. It is not stated as such, but if it had, I would have been completely behind Erik preempting all. Sorry if I entertained his thread with a dissenting opinion? Nope. If my advice to him as to ways to better communicate and ship, and turn a negative into a positive, is biased as well, oh well!

After the above post, Sammy and I found a better understanding in PM, which is where it should have been discussed first, which I made clear in the PM. I am not going to post any details, except that with the explanations exchanged in the PM, there is no need for Sammy to KMA. It has been said that at times I am all ass, and must occasionally then "X" the spot. I am never without a magic marker.

I reckon it is safe to say that your relationship with the Child's is that of friends. Which, if that is the case, I would expect no less then your current stance. You made the comment that Wendy sought your advice on a non-related situation. I would hope that this peer relationship will also extend to the handling of this situation. It would not fair well for her mother to "charge back" these gecko's and leave Eric holding the bag and I am confident you would encourage her to do otherwise.

Wendy very clearly, or at least until she provides emails, accepted the fact that UPS would be the one delivering the gecko's. She also has made it very clear that she knew UPS was unreliable. Therefore, if I were in her shoes, I would have been sitting on my steps waiting for their delivery. Even to this very day, I meet my delivery guys at the door each and EVERY time a package is delivered. I refuse to allow a live animal to be put into a situation where they were either left on a doorstep or left for another delivery attempt. The onus here is on her completely.

With that being said, I do not for a second believe that you would not go outside of your own TOS and ship out a second animal. That's who you are and I respect that. But, I will not fault someone who sticks by the very TOS that governs his sales. Especially, when it comes to a customer who is known to belittle people, swear at people, and otherwise bend the truth to fit the situation like the Child's are. Little do they know (maybe they do but don't care) but their reputation is not limited to the confines of Fauna. Their personal attacks on people is well known and is one reason why I fully back Eric in instituting his TOS.

I hope Eric's silence here is an example of him heeding Wes's advice to simply move on.

Jim, use your relationship with the Child's to help them get through this situation and to correct their attitudes. It will do wonders for them but will hopefully provide you with some fruit from your labors.

Griz, I have rendered email advice, always couching it with "what I have understood to this point", and with questions about specifics, as the devil is in the detail, that would change things, but that absent which, do not. My advice is not always heeded, but I believe it very consistent with your conclusions. I believe I agree with every point that you made, to include regarding Erik's TOS, and that the primary responsibility to receive the shipment as intended is the receiver's ..... its a no-brainer. Mine say the same thing. I bend them for sure. IMO, and maybe only IMO, I would still advise against threads such as this if it is as stated, that Wendy was only an angry customer, not a threatening one. Maybe at least tried a time to cool off. Obviously, I cannot stop anyone from making their choices or posts, but you would think my finger is inches from the switch! I also think that a more savvy buyer and/or seller could have avoided this, and would hope that once all the crap is cut away, a few will have learned something. To no one's surprise, the BOI insures a glorious mountain out of what may have remained an everyday molehill once again. Time to read "Catcher in the Rye" again while enjoying the back-40. I have nothing vested in this thread at all, I have seen people who I have respect for give their opinions, But one thing that I do find kind of funny is the fact that Wendy has it in for Eric-Erik's this week ......Wendy as an outsider when it comes to things with legs, I do see alot of inconstancy in the things you post. Nothing personal but I think you need to get your story straight. If I was to make an outsiders veiw on all of this, I would say "NO REFUND" sorry have to call it the way I see it.

FYI, this scale sells internationally for approximately $38 pounds which is roughly $70 US dollars. The auction link is for an auction that has not ended albeit that even the completed auctions have ended for less than $30. Certainly not trying to defend Wendy here but at least attack her on issues where there is merit. The price she paid for her scale vs the price you can find it for on eBay is irrelevant. Let the matters with real meat be what convicts her.

The email that Eric posted is a true email in part. It did NOT follow the first email he posted. It is out of order. He is posting tid bits of emails out of order and only in part. I was saying "sounds good" to something totally different. The price in fact. Then I went on to comment about the "$580 shipped ups" (which he isn't showing). I stated the problems etc with UPS. His first reply was that he has NO other shipper. That very email lead to several (3 or so) there after that ended up in us mailing out our DHL waybill to him because he acknowledged and agreed that the risk with my UPS driver/s was too great.

When I emailed to ask why I saw no activity in my DHL account and hadn't gotten an email about shipping is when he told me he shipped them UPS anyways. I had no choice but to comment that I was upset about it, but "OK" I will have to wait upstairs".. What else was I supposed to do? It was done already! Refuse them? No way. Thats risking their health. The animals come first. I was upstairs as I stated I would be. They DID NOT ring the door bell. Period. If someone only "knocks" once in a 5000 sq ft house. Unless I am standing at the door we very well might not hear it. Thats what a doorbell is for. I walked away to get a drink (coffee). No one can post up on a porch for multiples of hours. Thats ridiculous to insinuate I should have. I too have things that have to be done. Mouths to feed. Restrooms to visit. Drinks to get, etc. The day cant stop completely. I stayed upstairs so I would hear the bell as I stated I would.

As for the emails. We use a free hotmail account now. We just got a whole new server and phone company. We have stand alone internet now, and Vonage phone. Just last week I was posting in the other thread that I was learning about the new Vonage and found out that all incoming calls show on line and messages are voiced on line.. There for, we no longer have the access to MSN. Now we have to look at the msn emails via hotmail.I am unable to figure out hotmails way of working, but In the last week, Timmy, Eric, whoever has signed us up for EVERY spam email thing there is. I get no less than 100's if not 1000's of emails per hour. I had to put all emails in trash in order to be able to answer even one. Then I'd go back to answer a second and again we were at our maximum space capacity. Then there is all the Fauna thread emails.I have unchecked that option now.

Now when I go in my trash it only takes me back so far.Which only appears to be a few days and 10 pages of junk. I cant figure how to get back far enough to see his emails.

We have always had access to incoming outgoing and trash emails forever in our MSN account. Now I have no "sent" ones, and nothing beyond 10 pages. Is 10 pages the limit? I don't know. So, I can't post them. Why doesn't someone ask HIM to post them ALL in entirety, unedited????? But if not, I guess I am sc**wed as usual.

So I am going to have to get on the horn with the stand alone server and get all the pop account info set up for a new real email address, which is going to be a pain. Who wants to change their business addy after multiple years? But it is going to have to be done now that I see we cant trust anyone. We need to start being preventative......thats a shame.
