In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dan Scolaro bad guy.

Anyone want a shot at shrinking the PDF down and photos down to size to post them? You guys busted my hump for this crap so I dont understand the unwillingness to help out.

Shoot me a pm with your email and I'll forward it over.

I apologize if these turn out quite large, I want to make sure they are readable.

Thank you so much Cat for fixing that up and posting it for me.

I just received another PM from a fauna member and previous customer of Dan claiming to lose two snakes he recently purchased from him. I am going to PM the gentleman back and ask if he'll post his side of the story here. I'm fairly certain they were boas but I could be wrong. I know he has one frozen at the moment and was very interested in finding out if IBD could be detected in a frozen thawed specimen. If anyone knows about doing a necropsy on a frozen/thawed specimen please PM me so I can pass this info on to the gentleman so its worth his time and effort to get a necropsy done.

Thank You

Proteus are condusive with kidney infections, and can even be flagellate protozoans. The dehydration of the snake may very well have either caused the infection, or the infection was by the dehydration.

Hepatic lipidosis is also very common with reptiles that have been anorexic, or 'off food' for a long period of time. The fatty cells within the body tissues become mobilized and essentially 'clog' the liver.

Maybe I'm reading that report wrong but it says "compatible" which to me means they look similar too.

Also there was no Virology testing done, why I don't know but without it I can't see this as being definitive proof of IBD. Like I said I may be missing something but that's the way it reads to me.

Granted the snakes doesn't look like it died from being strangled by another boa and it sure looks like it had something else wrong with it. Add to that the bacterium found in tissue samples as well as the other things found in its tissue samples and it was obviously a sick snake. Anyone else see a definitive This snake Has IBD in that report? Randy

Hold my hand like a small child.....please.

In essence what you sort of conclude is that was not a healthy, plump, feeding snake that Dan could claim he shipped out?

I mean...is something that could happen overnight in a bag during shipping?

Like I said, you got me.

Almost 2000 sales and not a single legitimate complaint.

And to keep such an outstanding reputation going, I squeezed that snake to make it bloat and then shipped it to a friend and then sent him 150 dollars the next day just for kicks.

Amazing way you figured my sinister plan.

But how come we are on page 42 and you have not conned me to extend my guarantee for another skink or proven anything besides I goof sometimes and extend guarantees when I should stick with them?

What gives Chuck? Things not working as planned.

Dan

Why not call the vet with the case number and ask him to review the report and clarify his findings. Maybe its not a case of IBD. Maybe it is and its just the wording of the DVM that needs clarification.

"Compatible" doesn't mean "looks similar to".

Take the path report as you will........but those pictures speak plenty loudly for me. NEITHER of those snakes were in any shape to have EVER been shipped to a customer. Just looking at those pictures, Dan can still sit here and say it's not a legitimate complaint????

You call that guy your friend? Do all your friends call you little bitch and accuse you of sending animals to them with IBD? Even after you make better on the deal in terms of monetary compensation?

Then you got some :censored: up friends.

Seems to me your friend is scared out of the bejesus that his collection has been exposed to IBD and he ain't very happy with you at all. Seems contrary to what you stated that he doesn't believe the snake was strangled at all.

The fun has just started. People are going to be picking everything you've had to say so far apart. You lied a lot palo! Why do you lie so much?

Ah well whatever...my job is done....I did my bit. I'm just going to grab a Gin and Tonic and remain available should anyone have a question for me....and watch you squirm...and lie and backpeddle...and lie some more...and backpeddle....and squirm. :)

I also thought you were my friend.

A friend would speak to the other buyer who examined the snake just days before it was shipped and verify that it was healthy and fat and fine. But you know that is not necessary because I have an excellent reputation and wonderful track record of sale.

Come on now buddy, email me and I will get your number and have him call you. What are you afraid of? If he tells you his are fine and the buyers are fine, are you going to look in that mirror again and call yourself a fool?

I mean I try to convince you to seek help by recommending a qualified doctor that deals with mental health issues such as yours, and you ignore the kind advice to seek much needed treatment, so what else do you want me to do for you?

Did you want us to consider the baker act for you? We can work on it you know.

I just couldn't help myself from just being a lurker. But I think your excellent reputation and wonderful track record. Might be gone. I know I wouldn't buy anything from you. Now back to the shadows for me........

Cat, unless the Vet was trying to get it a date I have to think he was saying it looked like it, as there was no Virology report to say yes it is!

Cat I believe I also commented on the snake obviously having something wrong with it . I don't think Dan said it wasn't a legitimate complaint he said it was taken care of IE Happy customer who now doesn't seem all that happy.

Folks I'm all for putting the word out if there is IBD but that report doesn't say the animal had IBD at best it says it may have. This guy should have paid to have the testing done especially seeing as he has 40 plus grand in Boa's on the line here.

Before I start screaming from the roof tops that Dan's animals have IBD I'd like to see something that says that animal had IBD. If you want to say the animal had IBD that's your prerogative just as it is mine to want definitive proof before I start yelling. The animal looks like it died from some serious ailment but what one the report doesn't seem to say.

Chuck they are not going to give me that info , only their client can ask for that..
Randy

Dan, you continue to just shoot yourself here. If you think that this thread wont impact your business then you need to wake up.. Even the hint that you might have IBD in your animals will scare the crap out of anyone who knows what IBD is. Randy
