In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dan Scolaro bad guy.

YOU CAN NOT TELL BY LOOKING AT A SNAKE IF IT IS INFECTED BY IBD

Plz tell me you can read that... Did Al do a necropsy is a shopping mall parking lot wow he is good........

I said I would if 1. You had documents 2. If you had a picture of the snake right before shipping.

Is Al a certified vet ? From what Kelly said Al was a nice guy but I am not going to put the well fair of anyones collection on a guy you meet in a parking lot. Really Dan step back read over this thread slowly. and get back to me.

He and the rest of the sane world is not convinced there is a virus inside it.

Odds favor that since the breeder screens his collection for the virus, that it is not in his stock.

If you are going to loose sleep over the odds, then offer to buy it and get it examined.

But if it comes up clean as expected, then it's two holes you will be digging.

Ok can you prove that the breeder kills some of his stock to test and can you get some of the test results ? How about you do what any right minded breeder/seller would do and get your own snakes tested to be sure ....

Dan,

I have no desire to beat you over the head, regardless of the ample opportunities you have created. So, solely in the best interests of informing the new reader, and taken from my observance that only one report has been posted in this entire thread, compare the following, and draw your own conclusions:

Dan Scolaro, post 537:
FACT is that the other boas are thriving and there was never any mention of IBD virus in the report
.

From the necropsy report,Post 204:
Comment: .... The microscopic lesions are compatible with inclusion body disease of snakes ........ the etiology of inclusion body disease is considered to be a retrovirus

You know what I find incredible? I find it absolutely, amazingly, astonishingly incredible that you did not keep records as to which snake you sold to a customer.

By the way, I googled your name, Dan. The search returned a number of promising links:

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53430
Is that you too?

(My apologies if these have been posted already. I must've missed it)

Dan you broke your code again .... So not one complaint huh ?

Records according to photos?

Dan

Yeah. How are you supposed to verify that a snake is the same one you sold the customer.

A *GOOD* business assigns an ID# to every snake it sells. Records are kept of which snake SPECIFICALLY is sold to each buyer. Pictures of the animals are also labeled with ID#s.

Craig: I said legitimate complaint. In that one report, per the terms, the buyer was obligated to report the condition of the frogs within an hour of delivery, and she did not. Regardless, I extended the guarantee to offer free frogs/shipping and then gave a refund. In the other thread, a guy shipped me a hot snake via UPS and I reported to the proper authorities and he got in trouble.

You DID NOT miss that. It was pointed out to you SEVERAL times during the course of this thread.

If you have ANY hope of continuing your business, you might want to take a reality check now and start owning up to some of this stuff.

Dan,
No problem. Word to the wise, if you are listening. You have mangled your public relations here. There was a way to manage this, likely several, without kissing everyone's tush, jumping through a bunch of hoops, etc. I am truly sympathetic to importers (I import) and the myriad of problems involved. Carrying on here in an antagonistic way has no reasonable upside for you. Hope things recover.

And where exactly did you say that in your terms? If I read that thread correctly, the only 'terms' that were listed on the ad were "LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEED".

That is decent advice. I don't even know if the snake examined was the snake I shipped? Thanks.

Dan

Do not go to sleep yet.

Earlier you wrote that you would dig that hole and jump into it if the other customer (AL) provided his word that the he examined the snakes and they were healthy and are presently heathy.

Al did.

So do not be frustrated here. Just keep to your word and start digging now. Call Chuck over and jump in.

Dan

He dosnt know what hes talking about either.

He calles IBD, IBT... Uhhhh no.... its IBD. Inclusion Body Disease....

What a maroon. This goose is cooked, in fact, its freakin burnt.

Later in the thread, you will see a copy of my email to the lady when the buy was made informing to notify within an hour of delivery. Also, the shipper lost the package so that report on condition was very important (to her) if she would pursue any extended guarantee stuff. As it was, they arrived alive and she did not notify for 5 hours that one was weak. I had at the time several friends/relatives passed away and had a minor issue with amnesia and could not think straight so I offered her back her money.

Looks like the path report is straight forward and it sounds like the inclusions are consistent with IBD inclusions"

:iagree:

How is one supposed to notify in an hour of delivery if the package does not arrive when it was supposed to? Rerouted by accident on USPS's part? Oops! You employed them. Get your money back from USPS for the error and don't give the customer crap about it, Mr. Nice caring guarantee of a man.

Awesome. Looks like your symptoms of amnesia/not thinking straight are returning in full force senile old man. You've lost. This is irreparable damage to your name. I don't foresee you owning up to your errors so just please leave. 112 pages in and this is causing everyone headaches but you Dan. This is the main error that makes you daft.
