Marcus:
Thanks, and I am not sure if you read all of my comments, but I did not ignore the possibility of that snake having a disease. I was quite open and honest to inform the other buyer of the potential problem before this witch hunt started.
However the case, they departed here in February and if it was a virus, I am not convinced it lingered. And if it lingered, then what could have it attached itself to? I don't keep boas and pythons, so what animal is someone saying it might of been attached to?

Dan S,
I hope you take the time to read this,as it is meant to be constructive.I understand some of what you are going through.I am an importer also, and recently started to see some issues with a certain animal group that I bring in on a monthly basis. The customer that I have(wholesale to)was very proactive and made me aware of the possibilities, and the seriousness of the matter.
At first I was a little taken back, and felt somewhat awkward, but once I put my personal feelings aside,I dove in headfirst with them on how we can combat this, because I enjoy what I do,and they do also.I do not mass import, but deal with a small group of clients,so my ability to get a tight grip on things is much easier than yours would be.As you deal retail I know it is very hard to keep track of everything, let alone dealing with brokers,F&W,USDA Ag and also the business side of things.I get it.
What I would suggest to you is to accept what appears to be obvious, that "there could be a problem that passed through your facility".You can't rule that out,no matter how much sideways BS is being hurled here(which you are also fueling in return)You need to take a serious look for your own sake. The Herp community is small, but always growing as yards and space keep shrinking. This is no attack,I have no dog in this fight, and actually share a common interest in importing, and have admired some of the more rare and obscure stock you bring in,as that is what I like to do also.
I will tell you on my own personal front,we are getting somewhere,as we have the Gov't ear in Malaysia on what is likely something worldwide.I hope you do the same for your business and your family's sake. The BOI does get sideways, but is useful and informative.Hope this gets worked out and the questions get answered.
