In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I cannot give out his info, something must have went pretty good with the emails between him and Lisa. She is willing to send the dragon to him.Why do you need a vet name???

No, I didn't mean that you had tried to sell her at 4 months. What I was told
was that a person with the name Grassi had sent a picture inquiring why the
dragon's eyes were like that and what could have caused it. That this occured
when the dragon was 4 months old. If you have only had this dragon 6 weeks like
you said, then maybe it was the breeder who did it back in October. Even so,
the name Grassi came up in the conversation and so did the name Jeff.

I would settle for $75 refunded back and will drop the Paypal complaint at
that time. I have an appt Tuesday at the vet for another dragon here and can
take her in at the same time for a vit B booster, fecal and get her started on
the other tests. This way, you still made $125 on her, she got a good home and
won't have to be stressed by being shipped again.

Let me know if this is acceptable

Thanks
Lisa Dodd

did I miss it?

was the vet report listed?

I see lots of responses but I think I missed the vet report?

Can someone point it out to me???

No,it was just a fecal.I would like to see the new vet report of these liver problems though.

Lisa having, or not having, a vet report to prove what is or isn't the cause of the problem doesn't change the fact that there IS a problem that you neglected to mention before receiving the payment. You claimed this animal was healthy & perfect, it is not, and you are unable, or simply unwilling, to produce evidence to backup your statements.

Misrepresenting goods for profit was still classed as fraud last time I checked.

It seems as if Jeff would like to settle on this matter...Lisa, is the following acceptable to you ?

Alex, these are my intentions on the dealings with beginners basics reptiles
on the fauna B.O.I. I agree to pay her $75 up front via paypal as a partial
refund on the 17" blood x snow female bearded dragon. When I receive the
dragon I will pay the balance via paypal. And this whole situation will be
done and overwith and that Beginners basics reptiles will post on the B.O.I
that I refunded her money and made things right with them, and that they will
drop all complaints. Thanks for your time,Jeff Grassi

How many times do I have to say that I did not know the droopy eyes were a problem.Someone else posted on here also that they didn't know droopy eyes were a problem, and it was a very reputable breeder that posted it.I did not know anything was wrong or I would not have sold her in the first place!! Once I was told that there was a problem I offered a refund. Is that good enough???

Here is my feedback on reptibid,I have only sold on there for a short time.I have sold alot of dragons on kingsnake though.

Your point?

I've got over 150 positive comments on eBay, but that doesn't stop me from ripping somebody off on there should I so desire.

Pennebaker said:
I think Dawn/Jeff should just get the dragon returned, issue a full refund, and cover shipping for the mistake. Even if you did not realize that the droopy eyes is a problem (which I can understand since I wasnt sure what it was), now you do.

Since you just bought the dragon and siblings 6 weeks ago, perhaps you can take it up with the person you bought them from? Although it is probably beyond their guarantee period... but maybe they can shed some light on the issue?

Dana

Just to clarify--this was my earlier post.
I never said that I did not know it was a problem, I said (meant) that I was not sure what the droopy eyes were a signifier of. I actually knew that it was a problem of some sort, I just could not remember the specifics.
Lisa sent me a photo of the eyes before this thread began asking if I had ever seen it before (that was all, I did not hear any specifics about the situation). I believe I replied along the lines of--- I think it is a sign of some sort of vitamin deficiency, or there is a chance that it could be genetic but I was not sure off the top of my head.
I was just trying to be moderate in my post here giving an easy way out. I was certainly not trying to justify the sale of an animal in this condition.

Sorry I have not gotten to read the whole thread but I hope it is close to resolved.

Dana

I received a call from the breeder that originally sold this dragon. It is someone I know and who does have a good reputation, he already had my number and until he called I was not aware who it was, he read the first few pages of this thread and stopped there and called me.

Lisa, I have his phone number and contact information. He is very willing to work with you for the best of this dragon and your costs. I believe you can trust him and his word.

I won't go into detail here, but I think he is an honest person and cares about his animals, he stated and I do believe that he was unaware of any problems or issues when this dragon and the others from him left his care and it has been long enough that this could have developed after leaving him. He has checked the parents and other dragons from the clutches and none show this problem.

No matter what, he is concerned, he will make this situation right for Lisa and for the dragon also whatever it takes, even though it has been some time since the dragons left him.

I wish I could publicly acknowledge someone who shows this kind of business professionalism and care, but for obvious reasons he requests that his name not be listed here.

Jeffy can continue to post his rave reviews on here but it does not alter what transpired in this thread, he lied to Lisa, gave her a hard time, lied on this thread or the other threads that exist on BOI about him under various names he has YET to acknowledge. DawnJeffy, Jeff Grassi, Dawn Hebert, Dawn Grassi.

Lisa will post I am sure that this has been resolved when completed with the breeder and owner of the dragon from a few months ago.

We have offered a full refund, including the shipping back. The breeder has also contacted lisa and offered the same refund as us.

I read the offer about the $75 up front. I have just gotten off the phone with the breeder and have arranged shipping upon receipt of the $75 in my paypal account. The breeder has PROMISED me that the remaining monies will then be sent via paypal once she arrives there.

Shipping is planned for Monday with Tuesday morning delivery and this is pending the $75 transfer to my account. She will be shipped direct to the breeder.

Here you go Lisa

This email confirms that you sent $75.00 USD to [email protected].

Payment Details

Amount: $75.00 USD
Transaction ID: 7PB59084EC083123Y
Subject: Partial refund
Note:
This is a partial refund on the bearded dragon. The balance will be paid
upon receipt of the dragon. And you agree to post on the BOI,that this issue
is resolved and that you are happy with the outcome.Thanks.Jeff and Dawn

So everyone quit beating around the bush,, i would like to know who the original breeder is.....
PM if you don't want to disclose it in public on this forum,,
thanks,

Yes, the $75 was received. I am shipping her out Monday morning and she is going direct to the breeder. I will post the tracking number as soon as I process the shipment.

The "good news" is I managed to get 2 silkies into her and also syringe fed her some Repcal.

Glad to hear you contacted the original breeder (not current seller), have a resolution and that is MORE than gracious of him.

I am very confident that you can trust him to see that all is followed through as agreed and the dragon gets the best of care, she will not be resold and shipped again without medical attention and anything that needs to be done for her will be.

This is how the seller should have handled it from the beginning and I am sorry you had all these hassels on top of other things that you are going through. Slinging mud at the innocent person that was just trying to buy a healthy animal and is concened about that animal no matter what, is not an impressive business practice.

Kudo's to breeders that still rememeber the love of the creatures and that bond with babies you raise and not just the dollar figures.

I have processed the package via Fed ex and she will be picked up Monday evening.

Here is the tracking #791200819249

She is being shipped via Priority overnight and she will be delivered to the breeder Tuesday morning. This tracking number and information should be able to be viewed any time after 6:00pm Monday evening since the driver usually picks up here at around 5:15pm.

Cheri Smith

Cheri that is not right.I offered a refund to Lisa and you can ask the breeder that I definitely knew nothing of it being sick,he knows if I thought it was sick that I would have told him.The bad mouthing should stop.PLEASE

JOE REGAN

No useful purpose on this thread will be accomplished by posting the breeders name. I think he is one heck of a person to step in and guarantee refunding and shipping when he has not had the dragon for some time.

Its his request to not be mentioned on this thread, if your read through this whole thing, there are several referrence made that her problem is genetic, (which I do not agree with) and that would make a possible impressions to others that his breeders stock are a problem, not something he needs or I think is warranted to him.

It is possible to be genetic in any species, also neurological, but never have I seen that in bearded dragons, when this has been an issue in bearded dragon, the droopy eyes each time have been a symptom of renal function, malabsorbtion of Vitamin B or both caused by other factors.

Both can come about as permanent problems in just a few days time of inadequate care, not proper hydration, overheating or from another illness unique to that animal. To progress to the point of the lower lip drooping, takes more time to be visual, that can be as little as a few weeks to a few months, but certainly within the time frame the seller had her and not since Lisa got her Friday and saw it also on Friday.

I also know that Lisa will give this dragon the best possible care, make sure she is well hydrated and packed carefully to go back to the breeder, so there is as little possible risk to her as there can be.
