    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The whites was sent to her no charge and I paid for the fedex priority shipping.

The new frog should have been in a smaller Qt tank with no rocks or other decorations. just a very simple set up till it started feeding good.

That frog never had a chance with you because you just did not have the knowledge to provide the basic requirements it needed to survive.
 
I am having the chytrid test done specifically because Ed told everyone on fatfrogs that ALL of his frogs have been treated. I asked him specifically if this frog had been treated as well or if I would need to do the treatment myself. This is the pm response that I got

I understand that it is a lesson learned and I have chalked it up to a loss as far as the money goes. He lied to me on several occasions and if the frog tests positive then ALOT of people who have gotten frogs from him have ALOT to worry about, possibly losing their entire collection if their frogs are not treated.
It may sound cliche' but I don't want her to have died in vain.
If my time and expense can save another frog from dying then it's worth every penny to me.
The members on fatfrogs, either out of denial or outright ignorance who have or will buy from him are risking alot.
I like that forum very much and have made "friends" there. If I didn't warn them and knew in advance the risk they were taking I would feel absolutely awful!

The member asking about the formalin poses a great question, I will check my reference books, The Clinical guide for Veterinary Technicians is a great one that I refer to often but don't recall the specifics of formalin.
I know that it does preserve certain cell matter because it was used to send whole or partial organs to the Pathologist that we had used.

I piad 55.00 for the shipping and have the money order. Do you have a reciept?

If that actually was the case why did you compliment my enclosure when I posted it on fatfrogs instead of being critical since it was such a prized frog?

If I seem a little bitter Ed it is because you are skirting the issue and not responding to ANY of my questions.

Subject: QUESTIONS! :)
So, I totally LOVE him!

1. Can they fall? I walked out of my room for a while and when I came back he was on the fake rockpile thing, I'm scared he's gonna hurt himself.
2. When do I need to dust his crickets again, may I give him nightcrawler pieces? When he went to the bottom of the tank I thought maybe he was looking for food so I cut a piece of one and put it in, he turned the other way. He is so chunky already I just love it!
3. How were you feeding him? Should I just put some crickets in the bottom? I used to pull the hopper legs off of them for my other frogs when they were babies, or should I let them keep their legs so they can hop up to wherever he is?
4. How many should I feed him? Say, put 5 in at night for like 30 minutes and wait and watch?
Sorry to hit you with a bunch, this is all I can think of for now...
Let me know what you think about his new house too okay? Thank you Ed!

Subject: I'm sorry Ed. I'm a shitty keeper.


I went to check on him after I put the crickets in and he was behind the rock thing dead in the corner. I had totally left him alone but I guess I stressed the shit out of him the first day. There was a milky fluid between his body and what looked like a shed. The yellow tinges weren't visible I only saw them in the pictures.
I'm not going to keep frogs anymore I PROMISE. I can't tell you how sorry I am that I killed your pretty frog. I am sorry that I wasted his life and your time. Rest assured it won't happen again, I probably won't even keep the ones I have. I'm not meant to keep them I guess.
I'm not gonna be on this forum anymore either. I'm too embarrassed and there are a few members here who would think it was funny. Please don't be angry with me but if you are I totally understand.

Wow! I didn't read the entire thread, but sounds to me like this is a confession.

Ed can you post pictures of your breeding facility? You say you breed thousands of frogs but countless times I have asked for pictures of your breeding area/facility and am either denied or ignored. Do you really breed frogs or are you a middle man?

Please Kelly, post a pic of the receipt.

In order to even entertain the thought that an animal may have been switched for a "not quite well" animal, (yes, I picked that up from your posts..do you have any concrete pictures of the two animals together?) or that he's lying, you need to POINT out his lies with concrete proof, the same way he keeps harping on that post that you wrote out of your first instinct of guilt before rational thought took over.

You may not be able to recover any expenses, I believe that he lived up to his TOS but it may provide some measure of satisfaction so that you can move on.

Ed, I loved your play on words...but the "Big Dogs" may have lost the scent and the "sly fox" is getting away. :rofl:

By all means take the time to read the thread, it is very informative and if you have any useful input or wuestions of me I don't have a problem answering them.
That "confession" was typed when I was in complete tears and utterly depressed before my head cleared and I did my research on Ed.
I did my research on the frog. My questions to him began in June of how to care for these frogs.

OK, calm down. I kinda thought you were a little emotionally upset then...I did some more reading of the thread. ;)

I don't think this will ever be resolved until we see the report from the vet, or a different smashing piece of evidence.
 
The White's was a replacement for a previously dead frog that was received by Kelly...What exactly happened to the first frog that died (a different species from what I gathered from this thread)?
