In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Ed Clark

I think most of us have a grasp on Ed's past negative threads (which there are a few) and his actions.

But, I'm actually not going to state any of that. Little light went off about one of Ed's post's just this month criticizing someone else.

Instead I'm going to hold him to his own standards.

Ed, maybe you should spend less time here criticizing others and upholding your own standards.

Ed has a few to many bad guy threads and I just don't get why people knowingly take chances on dealing with his character. :shrug01:

It's very possible since Ed is a flipper that he may not have the said animal in his possession yet but there I'm just speculating...

Good luck OP.

While I agree that good communication is important in the event of delays, I don't agree that daily updates are necessarily required.
I would like to see the complete email string - with dates and times

I would as well. Perhaps you are right that daily contacts were not required, but from another thread by the OP this sounds as if it is his first dragon, (he posted a wanted ad to that effect on the 13th) plus he seems very concerned. I think as a seller in this circumstance, I probably would have sent out a short update every day, and I feel as if had Ed done so, this thread might not be here.

That might well be the case...but if the wanted ad was posted on the 13th, and the BOI thread on the 20th, and the OP is complaining that 5-6 days have passed without shipping; he's coming off as somebody I don't want to deal with. We don't know when they made the deal; but Fri, Sat, and Sun aren't shipping days...and, as I mentioned, a lot of people would have avoided shipping this week. The OP threatened a BOI thread on Monday, 11/19, if I'm judging the timeline correctly.

Of course, given Ed's previous statement, there's no excuse for "running out of" heat packs after making the deal. (Of course, I've ordered heat packs before, and not received them for weeks because the supplier ran out & didn't communicate that until my second inquiry on their status; so I can relate to that problem, too.) IF there was an unexpected delay, Ed most certainly should have communicated that to the customer; just as it should have been communicated if shipping was being postponed due to the holiday.

Just a thought - anybody know the status of things in Cape May? Power fully, and consistently, restored? (I saw another Jersey resident comment today about ongoing issues from the storm)

Yes it is my first dragon, normally im not this impatient im just nervous im being scammed I don't have much money im only a student/19, spent cash all on the dragon.

Im going to calm down for this whole week i'll give him till next monday to answer me. Maybe he's in an emergency situation. And after that i'll have to spend another hundred or so dollars towards a new more respectable dealer.

And some of you are right I feel as if I was alittle obnoxious, so im going to aplogize to Ed for that, for pressuring him I was just really excited. :(

Ed - If this is strictly an issue of not having heat packs, and you haven't gotten any indication when your shipment should arrive - CONTACT ME...I'll be happy to send you some.
To the OP: obviously, if he isn't reading this thread, my offer is useless...even if he contacts me today, and I get the message early enough to get them out this afternoon, he won't get them until at least Friday. In the meantime, enjoy the holiday & relax for a few days because even if he has everything in hand, he can't do an overnight shipment until Monday anyway.

Oh, and Ed, if you read this - I don't care whether you respond to this thread or not; but let Richard know what is happening.

If Ed ran out of heat packs and is waiting for the proper ones to arrive before shipping, he is doing what he ought to do, for the dragon's sake.

Ohh nooo.... I mean if he doesn't reply or send anything as in I get nothing back for what I paid for. Ill look for a new breeder.

I rather have him wait for heat packs then to ship it out dangerously like that. Theres no problem with the heat pack waiting im ok with waiting now all I want are some updates to assure me.

I stand corrected - Ed posted in the threads started by Nicole Norton and Tom Clarke...but those were personal :shootfoot

Harald, I think the only time Ed didn't respond to his BOI threads is when he was suspended for a year and when he was given a time out for a couple of months. He did have some threads come up during those times.

Other than that, I think he has always responded.

These are all his bad guy threads he has posted in.

As always, Dennis, I bow to your skills...I'm not sure why I thought he tended to steer clear of his own threads. (Maybe it was because I've seen it posted so many times :shrug01: ). Anyway, I sent Ed an email during the night, notifying him of this thread.

Ed likes to avoid answering certain questions he's been asked and is notorious for deflecting his actions just like a true con artist.

If this is the beginning... Imagine what your Dragon is gonna look like. Right now, I'd get your money back, learn a lesson and do this. OVERYPAY for a nice Dragon from a REAL reputable source. SMH @ Newbs these days...

Ed's reputation may or may not have a bearing on this transaction, but it is my opinion the OP has jumped the gun and not allowed Ed enough time to reply; definitely not enough time to ship as the holidays are upon us.

OP, I understand your excitement in getting your new pet, but don't allow that excitement to turn you into a customer no one wants to deal with. Multiple emails (which could be all from the same day, as you posted just snippets) and now a BOI thread within DAYS of making the purchase, are not something I want in a buyer.

People do change, some for the better and some for the worse. The one transaction I had with Ed went smooth.

I may have a different opinion later, but as of right now, with emails (partly) provided the OP needs to learn patience.

I can agree that the OP got jumped the gun on posting this thread especially after knowing or seeing all of Ed's bad guy threads; Ed already had his money.

This could have all been avoided if Ed took a minute of his time to update his paying customer especially since he had the time to be posting on forums within that timeframe, that's just poor customer service!!!

There are certain people I just stay away from in the industry. He is on that list. He's never done anything personal to me, but I will not give him the chance. I hope things work out.

I've purchased SEVERAL 40 hour heat-packs from local area camping stores.... They are a dime a dozen, if this is his excuse, I doubt you will get your animal. Sorry to say!

I believe the OP will get his animal, perhaps Ed is flipping it and doesn't yet have it in his possession because most of the stuff Ed sells are breeders less than desirables that he buys cheap and marks up 300%

I purchased a Silkie Dragon from Ed quite some time back and everything went well. My Dragon is healthy and beautiful. I had a few questions about my Beardie initially and he emailed me in a timely manner. I am so sorry this is happening to you. I have read the negative BOI threads and am just glad things worked out well on my end. I hope you find a resolution soon.
