I just logged on after taking Sunday off. Monte, thank you for your vote of support. I am disheartened by this whole mess. Alex, you say I was told that people were turned down for this project. At this point I am in no position to dispute what anyone says but i recall telling you I would like to see pure white albinos that don't darken with orange pattern. I do NOT recall you mentioning anyone being turned down for this project. I was under the assumption that you were pleased to receive the price for the animal, you even ate the shipping. I thought Dan P's "morphs for less" statements were history and that he was "in the loop" - he had bought several animals from different people and said he had breeding loans also. This is the first negative I have EVER received in 15 years of keeping reptiles. I always give good prices, service, animals, freebies. Ask Hailey Lau in Washington State, a vet student. She purchased a $75 Rainwater, I sent her a free hatchling. I mistakenly sent a preemie in the next bin that was wobbly. I felt very stupid and promptly sent her two nice animals at my expense. Look at my trader rating if it isn't trashed by now. Why would I call Alex knowing that he would find out Dan P had gotten animals from me if I knew he had refused Dan animals ? Dan P originally told me of Alex's animals and how he wanted in but was tapped out - no money. I saw the ad, it looked like alot of ads " great investment, etc. " - seeing this I now see how it could be. I honestly thought there would be few takers at the price and that Alex was glad to make a sale. I'm not the brightest guy in the world ( obviously ) but if I knew Dan P was turned down that would be suicide. I have had no contact with Alex after the conversation about the weight discrepency until Alex emailed me asking if I'd sold the animal. He said he had a guy saying he'd bought the animal - I said " Is his name Dan Poe ? ", didn't think that statement was wrong. I went on to tell him I did in the next sentence. There have been several posts complimenting Dan's animals - I saw one a few weeks ago from Robin saying she wouldn't sell to him and that's why some others wouldn't also. I emailed Dan P to get copies of the three moneyorders for the male - I can show you my deposit slip about 5 days AFTER the male was shipped. If I'd originally purchased it for him I would have gotten payment first, as in his first two buys from me. When I contacted Alex about the weight discrepency he said his scale was of when weighing another animal ( ball python ? ). My wife was already aware of the purchase and I was in the doghouse - now I'm past the outhouse. Alex said right up front that I could return the animal but he sounded pissed. I didn't want to renig on the deal and make an enemy so I was going to keep the animal. Dan P was very anxious to do a breeding loan, he was emailing me a few times a day. i told him what was up, he said he'd talk to his mom. He emailed me again and said his mom was going to be his partner. I told him he'd be bailing me out if he got the male. He said there was a break in the weather, could I ship. I said I would, my wife looks at the geckos every day and I wanted it out - she knew it was the $1250 one. I'd spent $2800 on more redstripes from HQ a few months earlier and should've quit then - obviously. I sent the male and received payment like a week later. I had no idea that this project was so closely guarded. Dan P sent me a picture of the hatchling and I wasn't too impressed -I didn't tell him that of course. I see here that there were threatening calls made - hopefully the phone company can trace the calls. I posted about Kelli in anger about her posts but there's no way I am going to jeopardize my job - it looks like she is the one getting threatening calls. I can send copies of my phone bills. I'm sure at this point nothing I say will be believed but that's all I've got.
