    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry on Het Pieds from Ace Reptiles

Well I was in the process of sending tony some money for a female woma until I saw this...Can any one vouch for the woma (does he actually have it?) I'd hate to back out of the sale 20 minutes before mailing the check to him.

Think I'll talk to him on the phone for a bit before I commit to this...

well he does not have a piebald.
But he was selling pied hets.
Then he sent pictures of "his" piebald. But they belonged to someone else.

I would back out just to teach the guy a lesson.

Nothing personal as I do not know you. But don't you think you would be sending a message that you condone such behavior? That could have negative ramifications (to you) long after your deal.

This is selfish, and paradoxical of you to post on this forum. Not that you should take anyone's advice just because they gave it, but give it some consideration before dismissing it as "not your place" to do so. We the customers make the vendors, and by disallowing active dissent we empower them.
 
I understand what you're saying but at the same time the seller has lots of very positive feedback also. It would be nice to hear some more feedback from the original owner of the woma and from people who have been to his house and met him in person.

If I had to back out of a sale every time I read or heard something negative about a seller, I wouldn't have much.

Either way if I decide to buy the woma I'll post how the transaction went afterwards.

I PM'd you about this, but was just wondering where you found "lots" of positive feedback. This is not meant to be confrontational in any way, but I've only seen a few good things. IMO, getting caught red-handed scamming someone by pirating a photo from someone with the clean reputation of a guy such as Joe Compel, nullifies a handful of good reports.

Paul, should the readers of this thread take that to mean that you don't care how many people are scammed as long as your not?

It appears that Tony purposely tried to deceive people into thinking he had snakes that he didn't. Read the TSE thread if you would like some background on the hardship it causes fellow hobbyist to find out they didn't get what they expected - 3 years later!!! He hasn't denied any of it.

These scams hurts all of us and your support this scammer puts you in bed with him.

After the way this thread has gone, I decided to give 'ole Tony a call to see when I could expect restitution. Well, dontcha know, his phone number is no longer a working number....imagine that! Does this mean he's done burning people, or is he just getting started?

Wow.

This is not some little, "Well, the snakes weighed 20 grams less than he said they did" negative complaint.....this is a guy stealing pictures to lie about owning snakes he does not, selling fake hets, blatantly ripping people off type of negative post. The guy has apparantly disconnected his phone to avoid dealing with being caught scamming people. And you still want to support him with your money?? There's no one else on earth that has Womas for sale? No one that there isn't proof right in front of your eyes that he flat-out SCAMMED PEOPLE??

As I believe it was Kevin said, take a look back at the TSE thread.......Chris Johnson had tons of positive feedbck on here before people caught on to his scamming ways, and when all was said and done, he scammed folks out of tens of thousands of dollars before being busted, and he's STILL on the run. I know for a fact that there's still people out there who sent him plenty of money, but never got included in our figures. But he had "lots of good feedback"....would you still support him?

With some people it's all about the lowest price or the "I want it now attitude" and they do not care who they deal with.
They only think about themselves.
There have been a lot of threads lately where people don't care about the way someone rips others off as long as they get what they want.
Everyone wonders how scammers can stay in business. Here is another example of how they stay in business.

Hey lose bags, I've kept a random eye on this BOI for years and you know what I have learned...That not a single one of you that have been scammed will ever get your money back, and none of you ever have gotten your money back...you idiots parade around like you're doing something "ohh I have his e-mail" "oooh oooh, he changed his identity" "ooooooh, I'm gonna tell kingsnake" "I'm gonna turn him into the F.D.O.G.D or the Federal Not Gonna Get Yer Money Internet Police" or what ever other fancy akronyms you idiots use on here.....

Here's how you really get your money back....Find out where the garbage lives, fly to that city, find a big strung out crack head in a back alley, then offer him a handfull of 8 balls to kick this guys door down and proceed to beat the living dog sh outa him until he either gives up the money or quits moving. If he quits moving, you don't get your money back, but at least you feel better.

I wanna hear about how some good ol boy got ripped off, and then see him post on here how long he had to slam the guys head in a door before this scammers wife got back from the bank with the money he owed him.

Wow Paul way to go overboard there. In case you didn't pick up on it people were trying to give you a not to subtle hint that by doing business with known scammers even if you get what you paid for your just helping set up their next victim.

Yeah I know it cold as hell in the Magic city this time of year and Broadway is a sheet of packed ice from North hill to HW 2 and your bored and all. But typing dribble like your last post isn't helping anyone and especially you. Give this some thought why don't you-- If anyone in the future comes here to check this guy out(or check you out) they'll see this thread . Now I've said this more times than I care to remember IE Say your trying to sell an animal and someone comes here and sees this thread and what you've said here.. Now will they wonder how honest you might be seeing as you don't mind dealing with dishonest people?? Might want to give that some thought... Randy
 
What reply got deleted?? Nothing on the BOI is deleted, except posts that are from people who do not use their real name. And if a post IS deleted, the content is deleted, but the "frame" of the post remains, with an explanation of why it was deleted, i.e. "violation of the full name on BOI rule" type of thing.

That said....perhaps most of the folks that post here do NOT get their money back. But their posts are a warning to others, and to keep tracking down the scammers, no matter how many times they change their name, and keep warning people....if ONE person is prevented from losing their money to a known scammer, the BOI and all of us here contributing have done our jobs. And those who choose to read the posts and do business with the scammers anyway are indeed supporting the scams, even if they get lucky and actually get what they paid for.

Posts on the BOI also often have an alternate job.....they not only show things about the original scammer, they also tend to show the true colors of those who post on those threads. After that last violent post from you, I think it has done its job pretty darn well in that respect as well.
