In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. Inquiry: who is silent noise? lil' peter perez or a wannbe lawyer

I'm not saying he doesn't necessarily deserve it. I'm not saying he didn't start it.

I'm just pointing out that maybe the goal needs to be reassessed. As we've seen numerous times, it's hard to run people out of the hobby. They may reincarnate, they may lay low, but like bad pennies, they keep turning up.

There's a better chance of getting a 22 year old to change his ways than to eliminate him.

When it comes to changing of ways, he's more likely to make changes when the requests come from people he respects, not people he feels animosity towards.

The other point I was trying to make is that, Pete aside, everyone who posts on this thread is giving every person who reads it a glimpse into their own character and personality. Make sure it's a view you want people to have of you.

Personally, I think there is a lot of unnecessary chatter in this thread that serves no real purpose but to give you all a great deal of entertainment, but is that what you all really want out of the BOI? This site IS what you make it, you know.

Sorry, just read this post and while it seems like he deserves some flaming, and the BOI may not be the best place for it, I thought this text from one of the links above was hilarious...

What does REVXUS mean? Nothing really. Just an idea based on a combination of words. However, when you say the word you don't pronounce the "V" - think of the car maker LEXUS, just replace the L with an R and add a silent V and you get REVXUS.

Um, so the nickname means - nothing. Plus just add a "silent V". ??!! OK! Heh heh. Love the fake legalese as well.

Thanks for the laugh!

anyone been to his site recently?

"Our site is currently under scheduled reconstruction,
however we are available Mon. - Fri. from 10am - 5pm
(PST) Please call (661) 900-2691 for more info."

I wonder if he plans on bringing back his list or does he has something else up his sleeve?

LOL LOL LOL

My bet he is even now scrambling to see what you mean. Big L for mikey.

This was just posted on the aha website...actually, fairly well written, but as true as any of his other statements...sad.

"Beyond the Web
Unfortunately, these individuals continue to post links in all available forums. I have complied with law enforcement officials, and the issue has been addressed. I have apologized publicly for my actions on Fauna and to the general public through my website, the reptile community unfortunately continues to victimize my company by my actions.

I take full responsibility for what occurred, however there is not more I can do. Be aware that the individuals who wish to place me out of business will not succeed, and my attorneys will not remain silent. This is no way a threat for legal suit, but there is no further comment or statements to be addressed.

They continue to state true facts, which I am not against. What I am against is their statement of my company conducting illegal activities, possession of protected wildlide and supporting racial bias. These individuals need to be apprehended, just like I have.

Beyond the Web will continue with its business promoting and educating the general public. I made a mistake, and I have severely damaged my relationships to the sponsors I once had. Fortunately, I will continue with the program and will discontinue my relationship with any public forums.

You can continue to laugh, slander/liable, and insult the way you have, and you can waste your time doing so. I have addressed the issue, and I have complied with the law. "

So, Pete lied again.

I just had this forwarded to me.

Hi, I am Tim Haub, writing on behalf of Bud James. His computer is having a few problems and he asked me to field this issue for him. I am an ex- executive and chapter president for SWHS now serving in an advisory capacity to the Al Robbons president, which is Bud.
I have read some of what you and others have written about Pete Perez and would like to respond if I could. At this time as far as I know Pete Perez is not and has not ever been associated with SWHS in any capacity, much less as a member. So we really have zero control over him, or his actions. According to Bud he was merely an interested member of the public at one of our events around the end of October. He and Bud talked and seemed to

appreciate the info, as a reptile owner I do feel we fight enough bad press at the moment. Not much need in looking for it. I will have a chat with Bud, my inclination is to not allow him to be a member (even though we cannot stop him from claiming to be, unless we catch him doing it). We cant fix what we dont see, which is why it is good to have others such as yourself in the loop or looking places we arent. I will chase the threads and then talk to Bud. Thanks for the help.

Peter’s quote:

I am aware of such laws regarding the keeping of venomous reptiles within the State of California, and as a member of the Southwestern Herpetological Society you are allowed 2 of each species of rattlesnake here in California

Hope you don't mind, Dennis...I forwarded that out to some people...am glad that you received that email though...I was having a hard time buying that he was in that group !

I'm curious to see if silent noise is indeed lil' petey perez of beyond the web. I got this email this morning from silent noise but it's signed by lil' petey.

Has anyone done business with this guy? Does anyone know who he might be? Other than lil' petey himself?

He did inquire about some snakes I had for sale and wanted to know where to send payment. When I gave him my paypal address he never contacted me again until this morning.

Hey, is it breach of contract if you tell someone in writing you'll buy their stuff and then back out? Well, lawboy, there ya go.

I have one further comment at the bottom of this post.

Re: Misinterpretation of Facts

To Whom It May Concern:
We are counsel to Beyond the Web, the Bakersfield-based educational
program featuring many of the world’s most amazing arachnids. We write
concerning your announced intention of distributing false statements in
the following Internet-based public forums; FaunaClassifieds.com,
SpiderTalk.net and the following allegations from December 2004 through
January 2005.

• supporting racial groups
• illegally possessing/collecting protected wildlife
• conducting illegal activities

We accordingly demand that you cease any plans or efforts to distribute
or publicly state the above-mentioned allegations.

There is no dispute that Peter Perez conducted one (1) illegal
transaction with Adam Quagliata, Canyon State Reptiles in Arizona. Be also
aware that authorities in both the California State Fish & Game and United
States Fish & Wildlife have been notified and addressed of such issue
and can be reached at your discretion. Beyond the Web has demanded that
Mr. Pollock cease distribution of such statements. Any further
statements regarding Beyond the Web’s unlawful activities, racial bias, and/or
other exploitation of such statements will constitute, among other
things, common law liabous/misappropriation, unfair competition, and unjust
enrichment rendering you and anyone engaged with you in such acts
liable for all of the remedies provided by relevant laws. These remedies
include but are not limited to preliminary and permanent injunctive relief
as well as monetary and punitive damages necessary to remedy your
openly willful violation of Beyond the Web’s rights.

We accordingly demand you:

1. cease and desist from the actual or intended distribution,
misinterpretation, public statements or other exploitation of Beyond the Web's
business conduct;
2. identify the names and addresses of any other parties who have
engaged, or otherwise involved, in such conduct through the public use of
discussion forums, i.e. FaunaClassifieds.com and SpiderTalk.net; and
3. provide Beyond the Web with an accounting of all statements issued
through or by other means of such claim that have been distributed via
your website, either physically or digitally, and of all instances of
public forums.

In addition, we demand that you contact us immediately upon receipt of
such notification.
Unless we receive full and immediate compliance with these demands,
Beyond the Web will be forced to consider pursuing any and all available
remedies at law and in equity.
Nothing herein shall be deemed an admission or waiver of any rights or
remedies of Beyond the Web and/or its affiliates, all of which are
hereby expressly reserved.

Sincerely,
Peter Perez, Program Director

Let's see. How does that go again? Something like this I believe...

Oh my gosh, I haven't laughed so hard, well in hourse, lil' petey IS funny, but that was GREAT.

Well to bring this a little bit back on topic.
As a Law School graduate (just never took BAR's) NO lawyer worth a
plug nickel would send you this info via email. It would be recieved via the USPS as a registered letter which you would need to sign for. This gives the attorney a receipt that verifies you received said document.

just my $.02

A side note about the SouthWestern Herpetologists Society.

I've been a member of the SWHS on and off for the last 20 years. There are now three different chapters that are affiliated. The Al Robbins chapter in Bakersfield, the one here in L. A. and one other the name of which has slipped my mind but it is not too far from here.

This group is an excellant place for novices to get started and the experianced to share their knowledge.

Usually.

The membership is open to the general public and there is not any way to verify that anything stated on an application is the truth. There is no way to weed out the crazies. They even let me back in after a membership lapse of several years. I've known members over the years who were almost as bad as lil' petey. In fact, one of the reasons I stopped going was because of some of the people who let power go to their heads. But that is not pertinant to this in any way other than to say ANYONE can join the SWHS and despite that, it is still a great organization.

swhs.org is their address, check them out. It's not their fault that guys like lil' petey make the claims he does.

You have gone far enough, my personal life is not to be publicly addressed. Whether the material is available for your viewing pleasure, it is one of the most disrespectful acts that Fauna has condoned.

Rich, I will continue to call your home until you decide to comply with my request:

1) Images must be taken down from this, or any other threads and/or this website.

Sounds like little petey wants to add to his ever growing fine. Also sounds like little petey is harassing Webslave.
