Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Intense Herpetoculture - Any feedback?

Kelli, this is what a guy named Juan told me.

First it was:
I had heard a rumor if you will, about this shipment not making it to the USA.. (from an individual who had heard it from a supposed friend of yours)

Second it was this when I questioned him:
Not to instigate but I believe the guys' name is Michael who told me it was told to him by a "big" named "female" leo breeder. I was just checking.. Everyone I've asked said youre a great biz man.

I had another guy say the same thing last week, so I thought I would ask.

Great. This is just GREAT. Heck, it could have even been me... but is wasn't. Justyn, HOW DARE YOU blame anyone else for you your own doing? Especially Kelli! You have descended to an all-time low, and look how you treat your friends. You make me sick.

Justyn has at least 2 accounts with Paypal:
One for the Ponds ( [email protected] )
One for Intense Herps ( [email protected] )
Which is frozen?

Since he has more than one bank account to go with those paypal accounts, all he has to do is open a third to use for new sales. Perhaps that is why the aforementioned paypal refund didn't clear (speculation, of course).

I think you offered him the best advice a few pages back. But he's only 22yrs old and probably thinks he's got it all figured out. His age, his actions, reactions, it just doesn't seem very odd to me that he doesn't understand the true value and meaning of friendship or respect for the solid advice thats earned through experience. He'll understand one day and I'm sure he'll miss his friends a whole lot more then the money he had to refund.

Actually Morgana its possible that both email address's could be registered to a single PayPal account. As you can add multiple email address's and set one as a primary payment address and the other as a secondary.

You can have more than one email address per account, I have like 3 on mine that way if someone sends it to the wrong one it doen't mess things up. You can also have more than one bank account per paypal account. I don't know if this is how he has it set up or he actually has 2 accounts.

Hmmm, you are right, it is possible to do that.
However, I just checked - the pond one (LCVRP) is "unable to receive funds", while the other account (intenseherp.com) is open.

Since they appeared to be business accounts when I first looked - with totally different names and ratings - one would think they had separate bank accounts. And since only one is "frozen" - I suspect this to be the case.

Not to throw mud - but I sure wouldn't be surprised to learn he opened a new account to do online business. After all - he has to make a living, right? :bang:

Good pick-up. A person can have several. I control three accounts with PayPal. One for personal (mostly herp related) stuff, one for my business to receive payments, and one for a charity that I run. They are all registered with different tax ID numbers.
 
Yes I also have 2 accounts myself, one personal and one business account for Northshore Reptiles. I will be calling Paypal and discussing this with them since I need to call and give them the information I recieved from the FBI and other authorities regarding this.

I hope I don't offend anyone else by saying this, it's just a personal opinion, but I think it's rathrer poor business practice to actually own a domain and then use an anonymous email account (i.e. hotmail) to conduct business.
All of my business is done through my domain name, emails and everything.
 
I really hate to get into the middle of issues when I have no real direct involvement, but based on an email notice I got from PayPal and the evidence shown in this thread, I feel I have no other choice. I am NOW involved with this issue....

The same here: one account for personal stuff and one for the business.

However, even though we use our domain addy for paypal, we also use our yahoo email. Why? Mainly because the yahoo one has been around the longest, and during the move of our domain (twice in 7 years), mail was being derailed. Having an alternate or back-up is always a good idea.

I agree, I also have a back up email that is just through my regular ISP. I was thinking more to the effect that he only uses hotmail as far as I know.
Now that I think more about it though, I guess it's not quite as big a deal, I just don't understand why if he has the ability to use a domain email he chooses to use hotmail only.

Hmmm, that's odd the email address I was coresponding with was [email protected]. He probably has ads all over the place.
Does he have an ad for dinosaurs anywhere? Baby T-Rex 50% deposit.

I haven't seen any ads for the dinosaurs yet - or the sloths or the fruit bats. BUT I did find this ad: wanting freshwater sawfish suppliers I think that is the same site that they guy posted about not being paid for the geckos he sent to Justyn in Dec 06.

Isn't Google terrific? I noticed several physical addresses for his businesses too: the pond place is listed on Millwood Street, the herp shipping address was Manzanita Street, and I saw other addresses on old listings on message boards. Does he move around alot?

When I first had some concerns about a refund I had not yet received, I checked here and everything looked fine. I come back tonight, about a month later, and there are so many posts that I can't even read them all. As best I can tell, he's still not paid any refunds. I attempted to go through Paypal, but they refused to do anything because he'd shipped part of the order so they felt it was more of a civil issue that I wasn't happy with the order... not that I was being ripped off.

Just like several other people, I've been ignored for the most part and told I will get a refund on several occasions. I was told I'd get a refund via Paypal last Wednesday and, needless to say, it didn't happen. Fortunately he's only into me for $217.50... but it's money I needed to pay a legitimate supplier for stock I actually received.

For the record, I had about $85 in DOA's and the rest was stock I had purchased that was not shipped. Perhaps he got in over his head, but he should have stepped up and met his obligations.

I get the feeling there are probably more people who are still holding out hope that a guy that had a pretty decent rep is still going to come through.I.like others try to find every way to resolve these kind of issues before it gets here.Once here,always here.
