    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here we go again, Another BOI satisfied good ratings person.

On Feb,15th I emailed Matt to see if he had any flexwatt instock and he said yes and he was getting more tomorrow. so on the 17th I placed my order.
Matt did not ship right away so I added something to the order and he said he would ship on Monday the 21st. well My order never showed and I had customers waiting for this flexwatt and now I have to oppolgize to my customers because I do not have the tape yet.
Yesterday I called matt and left a message asking if he sent my order and I got no reply by phone or email, So today I left a second message on Matts voice mail asking were my order was ( I was not as pleasant the second time but was nicer then I wanted to be)
Well a little while later I get a refund from paypal.
Matt never shipped my order. and on top of it he sent me a payment instead of refunding my money so it cost me $5 for paypal funds.
I told him he owed me $5 and he said no that I owed him.
Matt did not even have the courtisy to email me to tell me he could not ship like he said he was going to on Monday.
I counted on Matt and I sold something and told the people I could send it out this monday, They payed me and now I have to tell them that it will be more like Thursday because I have to order from someone else.

This is my 3rd order from matt and every order was not done proffesonally.
My last order was for 22 feet of flexwatt it takes 7 feet for each cage and I had to send out 3 cages.
well matt was short and only had like 19 or 20 feet and he sent it.
Well That was shot because I need 3 pieces of 7 foot long. so I had one piece that was 2 foot short. so to me it was junk. He did refund me for the tape but I still had to order from someone else to get what I needed.

Matt is not to be dealt with. buy from someone else.unless you have weeks to wait for your order.
 
Well what do you know A LIAR... This gentleman and myself have has several phone conversations about this order... He inquired via email on Tue, 15 Feb 2005 02:36:17 -0800 about ordering some flexwatt and I replied to him that yes I have 50-75 panels instock and an order on the way. Now no other communication is made until Feb. 17, 2005 15:30:43 PST)these are straight for paypal and my email). The order being placed 2 days later! I cannot hold stock just because someone asks if I have it. Then on Feb the 18h I receive a call from this person telling me to hold off on shipping as if needs other items...I say ok thats fine...I get an email later that evening telling me that he need 10 egg flats.. Ok thats fine too... I call him to let him know that this is not somethign I keep in stock and it will have to be ordered...He AGREES! So I am led to beleive that all is well.. I order the egg flats(they arrived yesterday) and was ready to ship today when I get back from home depot and have this awful message on my voice mail saying how mad he is and this and that... So I call him...NO ANSWER! Then I email him and let him know that I will refund his order as per his instructions on the message.. Now maybe an hour later I start to receive emails that I am a loser and this and that.. Now in the email I sent along with the refind I explained to him that I was really sorry to lose his business but I hoped that he did well in all of his endevors.. After that I get another call from Jim saying that fauna and the BOI is a load of bull(sorry cant be exact on the wording as I woudl blush to even type those words) and all the members are sheep and in a circle... So I explained to him on the phone and on the last email that he was more than welcome to come here and state his side of the story and this is what the board is for... I then blocked his email, isp and phone number because it was becomming more liek an attack then a business transaction... I tried to explain to him that he is the one that tole me to hold off on shipping and all of that...He also tells me he is in hot water with his customers because his flexwatt is not there.. I cannot help this but could have I was told to go ahead and ship.. I get the feeling that he is having problems with his customer by making promises he cannot keep and then taking it out on me.. Anyone that knows me and has does business with me knows that I treat them with the upmost respect and do everythign humanly possible to make the deal as perfect as it possibly can be... So this is my side and I leave the reast up to you guys.. Thanks,

Matt I believe you did the right thing by just refunding his $$. Not every single customer will be happy, and I think you did a good job.

Maybe Jim will just have to refund his customers $$ just as Matt did.
Just my opinion though.
 
sharphorn's word is questionable at best if you've read his posts before.

Matt, while I have not bought from as yet, has consulted me on a couple of business deals and products and I have found him to be intelligent, knowledgable and easy to deal with.

We did not have any problems communicating.

It's odd that this turned up today as I was going to call Matt and place a small order for myself. In fact, I still will later this evening.
 
I have ordered from Matt not long ago and everything went without a glitch.

Jim,

Why don't you tell your customers you are waiting for the flexwatt to arrive (which is exactly what's happening)? I have also learned never to sell what I actually don't have in hand.

I paypaled him that same day,
Then there was no conversation until Thursday when I left a message on his machine asking if he sent it.
Then today Friday I called again seeing I did not here from him and yes I was a tad rude but not like I wanted.

then I recieved the money I never asked for the money I needed my order.
Here was his reply in email. the first I have herd from him in a week

Jim,
I received your voicemail. I am sorry you feel that my
service is not up to par. I do value your business and
it it is very much appricated. Now that being said I
dont appricate however you being rude on my voice
mail. At the time you inquired about the
flexwatt(2/15/05 @ 2:36p) it was indeed in stock. Now
you placed the order on 2/18/05 and the stock I had on
hand and the order that was due in on the 16 was sold
by the 17th and I had to replinish again. I cannot

How do you figure I owe you ? I sent you $199 and $5 that is $203, you sent
me back $204 and I got charged $ 6 + for paypal fees, if you would have
refunded the right way I would not have lost anything and you would not have
also.

Also you told me Friday that you would ship my stuff on Monday.

Like I said Never did we talk on the phone.
So not only does he lie to his customers, he also rips them for $5 and then calls you a lier.
 
P.S. Matt, when I get my phone Bill I will scan it or take a picture of it and post it here for all to see when I called you, and that was yesterday and today,2-25-05 and 2-26-05
I ask you to be a stand up guy and do the same to prove your a lier.
 
A couple things

Matt, it looks like you did email him and tell him you would be sending out his order on monday, is that not correct?

And Yes, if you had hit refund, it would have made it like the transaction never occured with no fees to either party. So technically, yes, you owe him the fees.

On the other hand, if Mr Scharphorn had conducted himself in a reasonable, professional adult manner, he may have gotten his flexwatt and not be worrying about what he is going to tell his customer now.

No one has to put up with a rude abusive customer ever, even if they did screw up.

A word Mr Scharphorn: You catch alot more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.

We've placed numerous orders with Matt, hes a great guy supplying great products at excellent prices. In fact we just ordered another hundred feet of flexwatt from him.

He's one of the good guys. You on the other hand Jim, Well...... we ALL know your reputation. Your derogatory remarks in other threads towards sellers and moderators on this board speaks for itself. I've never dealt with you but can already see you are what most people in this industry call a "problem customer"

Most people have trouble deciding where to purchase from. So many great people like Matt out there doing us proud. You on the other hand, after this is all over, will have a problem finding someone who will actually sell to you...

Jim or Matt

Would it be possible to post the entire Email exchange complete with headers in order? I realize you posted text from them Jim but without header info it is tricky trying to construct a timeline. Also, were there two PayPal payments or 1? The dates of any completed phone calls in the timeline would be useful as well.
 
My first impression is that there were some misunderstandings/ miscommunications that escalated very quickly.

I agree with John that posting emails with full headers and also time lines with phone calls will possibly help identify how the problem occurred, and will help avoid repeating the situation in the future.

I don't see any "bad guys" here though.
 
I only got two things to say. I have bought from Matt and I will buy from Matt again. The second thing is why does Jim have problems with very one he does bussiness with(prevous posts). So far very one I have bought from on the BOI's good guy list with no problems. Then I feel it is better to be nice than nasty. Just my two cents.

I do not have problems with everyone I purchase from, I purchase various items every week from alot of different places, I asked myself this very question about why I have trouble with BOI people and I wondered if maybe everyone here that makes lots of posts were just in a big ring and patted everyone on there backs just to make each other look good.
Look at Matt Now, calling me the lier when about 90 % of his post was all lies, We never spoke on the phone so all conversation took place in the emails.
Matt even claimed he tried to call me Friday and that was a lie, I have caller ID I was here.I also have a answering machine, ask matt what the machine said, funny how you guys seam to bash me when Matt is the one lieing here. you can see part of it in my emails and what he claims was said.
I slam on people because I am open about things I do not just say well owell I got the raw deal again, people do not want to post here, they do not want to stir the pot, I on the other hand will let it be known, I am not shy.


On the 15th I asked Matt if he had any flexwatt, he said yes, 50 to 75 panels and I have more coming in tomorrow,

on the 17th I paid matt for 50 feet plus for some other items.
Then after I sent the funds I emailed Matt back a little while late ( being the same day the 17th )to see how much for egg crates,

Matt, emailed me back on the 19th and said yes, $5 and I plan on shipping your order Monday....,
So on the 19th I sent him the $5

I called matts # on thursday the 24th and asked nicly if my order was shipped and to please call me or email me and let me know.
I did not here from Matt so Friday when my order was not here I left another message on his phone ( friday the 25th) This is were I was just a tad bit rude, and I said TAD.


These emails are a bit hard to get straight, you will have to read them backwards.upwards and side ways, I posted them in the other page so you could read them.


These emails for the order were dealt with on the 15th and the 17th and 19th
Then on the 25th after I left a message, and got a refund that I never asked for, another lie by Matt.

I placed the order, I paid, Matt said monday, Matt did not ship even 4 days later,(9 days after I paid, order still was not sent) I got mad, I posted my experience, Matt came here and lied through his teeth, I get made out as the guy in the wrong,..... Go Figure..... way to go BOI

ask matt to post the emails and show anything different, ask matt to post his phone records, I know I will be.

Matt is the one in the wrong, Matt is the one lieing, and just because you had good dealings with him is not in question here.
So you shoot me because you had good dealings.

Please think outside the box.
