Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I wasn't referring to you Dennis, this sites just real jumpy and I've been on my phone with my fat fingers fighting auto correct so I lose my patience real quick.
Mindy said to me when she received them that he was a she. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked if it was a problem and she said it was a bonus. I already gave her a super deal on that lot and the one I sent after. The BPOG male was supposed to be an OG pin but he wasn't eating on his own until last week so I offered the free upgrade. I guess my mistake I have many other sales with happy customers that love their new pets, and they've been sexed correctly. Maybe it was female and I wrote male. I offered to fix it, gave her an awesome deal and a free upgrade. I'm such a bad guy to deal with

And this is not really a conversation I want to carry on, being judged by queen quarantine, and being told I'm wrong when I'm not, etc. Starts to get on my nerves and feel like I'm being attacked for nothing.
This hobby means a lot to me, enough to invest thousands of hard earned dollars and massive amounts of time to have my credibility shot down over some used bags and have to sit here and explain my whole life to paranoid people that don't know and have never met me. Given the rushed circumstances and lack of supplies, why wouldn't you hold off shipping the animals until you had the proper time, the proper insulated shipping box, bags/deli cups, and marker/labels to label the box as legally required?
You're somewhat right, the way Mindy conducts business is generally none of yours. You can't control her decisions, her errors in care and decisions, and her attitude. I do, however, wonder why you would sell animals to someone knowing they had a death due to suspected IBD and had not had any testing done to identify the cause nor determine the health of existing animals?
Where did I judge you? Where did I say you were a bad guy or trash your credibility? I asked 2 questions for clarification on your choices.
No one here has stated anything about you being a bad guy, or not to buy from you, etc. You speak of us "making mountains out of molehills" but you're creating something where there is nothing.

All I know is I am not purchasing any animals from Mindy, Andy, Jason, AA, or anyone they sell to. Its not worth it. It's all to shady. I'm looking to get back into Reps and this whole thread makes me cringe! I remember when that guy Wyatt (I think his last name was) destroyed Jen's collection. Then 3 others. Then Germany. It's not something to brush under the table. It's not something you use as an attention seeker. "Hey my snake had IBD, but the rest are fine, you wanna buy?" Is pretty much, "Hi I have Ebola, oh wait no I don't, let's hug!" Regardless if it's airborne or contact, its still a serious issue. I will be posting a link to this on FB. I will let my friends and fellow herpers know these name and to pit them on their do not buy, or shake hands with, list. Seriously Mindy, if I had purchased a snake from you then found this thread.... I would be more than p'.'"ed off.

Well that's a shame I did nothing wrong, except sell some snakes to Mindy who I thought was just pursuing her hobby like the rest of us. I saw the thread and just wanted to give her a pleasant review because our business was pleasant. I'm sorry you feel that way about me, I can assure you my animals are all healthy and I've made a lot of customers happy so far. I'll admit I sorta did a rush job shipping that lot, it wasn't my cleanest work but there was nothing wrong with it and it got where it was going, other than a missex on the butter, which still lingers with me. I sexed that animal more than once and I am dumbfounded. I even offered to fix. I guess I should have kept my mouth shut and not said a word. Good day maybe we will do some business at some point I plan on sticking around for a while. There's plenty of people dumping off collections right now anyway. Jason

I don't want to do business with someone who can condone her putting not only her own animals at risk, but other people's collections to. Some people invest in these beast, saving up money to buy expensive morphs. Mindy would rather seek attention rather than give her animals the proper attention they need and deserve. However that's my opinion, and mine alone. That test should have been STAT, but she didn't want to spend the money. She cried wolf and now has to deal with it. I like the fact she wants to go to school and be a vet, that's respectable, honorable, I thinks it's an awesome big girl choice. I think it would be good also if she posted Dexter's test results for every one to see. I want her to prove me, prove us wrong. But once again, it's what I think, my opinion. Just saying. I guess it's more of a ethical choice than a "you packaged/sexed the snake wrong" thing.
Was there ever a date schedules for Dexters test? Has anyone been able to contact AA and let them know Mindy is saying they have IBD? Has anyone talked to Andy and told him exactly what's going on?

Oh there's some misunderstandings. I said somewhere along the lines and to her through personal messages that she should have that animal tested immediately because it had prolonged exposure to the potentially sick animal. I would assume if that animal isn't sick, the rest probably wouldn't be. I am pretty trusting and always give someone the benefit of the doubt. It's not always a good thing. I can't say she had or didn't have other animals in her collection exposed, I can only take her word for it. I also haven't shipped any animals to Mindy at her house where the infection could be, they were all shipped to Andrew at This Side of Paradise Pets. She just found me and did the talking for him. I never meant to make it sound like selling infected animals is Ok, because it's not. I myself have worked very hard for years and made lots of sacrifices to do what I do. If someone would sell me sick animals I'd be buying a plane ticket.

She is refusing to respond, which makes her look worse, especially since she claimed no test results will be posted. IMO, that means … no tests will be performed.

It just simply shows her true character of who she is. She doesn't care for the well being of her snakes, the snakes she has sold other people from her own collection (the ones that have died and the one who haven't but may be infected), the snakes at Andy's pet store, or anyone else's for the matter. I too doubt any test will be done as she has said countless times that it is just a waste of money. Sad sad sad. I just hope more people see this before doing business with Mindy or This Side of Paradise Pets.

You can only be so nice for so long. After a while a person is just going to let the words go in one ear and out of the other. I'm sure she decided it would be much easier to say ok I will do the tests, and what not just so people stop talking to her. It's sad to see someone not willing to accept all the advice that was given here and just continue a business in horrible practice. But in the long run... If these snakes are truly infected.... Will not be around much longer. The effects of IBD are much more rapid then in boas. And therefore her collection will be killed off, the petstore will lose numerous ball pythons and boas. And then maybe they will wake up and realize that not getting tests done has caused it...
My point is... You can only try so hard to help someone. If they don't want to accept it, all you can do is warn others from dealing with her.
If I were here mother I would either aid her in the cost of testing or shut down her collection completely. But that's just my opinion.

Always let yourself learn from the past and admit your mistakes.
Some people won't ever acknowledge your efforts to better yourself and grow from your past, but at least you know you have, and that's all that really matters.
What people say that you do can't hurt what you really do, especially when it comes to your passion or something they have never seen with their own eyes in the first place.
Who's to say I bake horrible cakes when you've never tasted one I baked?

At first I thought her behavior was because she was young but now it just seems like she is delusional. Read all the bad guy posts on here.. they never go away even ones from 4-6 years ago get dug up occasionally and in an industry like this things always come back to bite you and it's hard to keep your head above water when your reputation is tarnished. She's running out of time to do the right thing it's sad I was really hoping she would do the right thing.
