    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Pet store robbery and Daytona show

It "might" be a fact if it is reported first-hand. Any reporting of information from anyone other than the principle party is hearsay. Repeating hearsay is commonly referred to as gossip where I'm from. The bible refers to that as sin. Some call it mudslinging.
I know it's hard for you to do but the recommendation still stands. You serve yourself better by being quiet right now. Seems Dave has suddenly learned this lesson eh?
Remember, the focus is to arrange a lie detector test. Going anywhere except for that direction right now is useless since you can both accuse each other till the cows come home.

While we're waiting for the response from Dave that I think will NOT be coming any time soon, I have a question for Neil that pertains to this thread too.  I am not trying to stir anything up, it's just that this has been brought out here about this issue, and because everyone is rightly asking Dave to answer the questions (he won't), I think it's been overlooked somewhat.

Jason said he got this quotation in an email from Neil:

"....ALL you had to do was corroberate Julies story and this whole thing would have been finished...but you didnt...you want to STICK with Lawson...fine! Just dont expect any help from the rest of us....."

He then went on to write:

"Why would I corroberate Julies story if it isn't true."

So, the questions I have are:

Neil, did you write that to Jason?  If so, what did you mean by it?  Jason says that he did not corroborate Julie's story because it wasn't true.  Now, I guess the statement Jason attributes to your email could be read differently, but it is presented as if you were trying to get him to say something he knew was false in his corroboration.  

I really am not trying to read anything into it; Jason did.  I just wondered what your response to his post would be, since you've said nothing about it that I can find.

This is the first post were I addressed either party to this in a LONG TIME.  I certainly have had no contact with either of them for months (I don't believe I've EVER had contact with Dave).  I'm not out to "get Neil" or "get Dave."  I just would like to see ALL of the questions asked and answered by EVERYONE.
 
Darin...I said what I said...Jason said what he said...and Julie said what she said...what you quoted is correct! Had Jason corroberated Julie's story (which she knows from first-hand knowledge), we would have known it all by now... Jason saw them, too! He just won't admit it...I'd like to see him take a polygraph for that one question only!
For the record...I will take a polygraph any time, any place with no questions off-limits! PERIOD! Maybe even the Detective who was in charge of my case could be asked to administer it? With just one caveat....I'm NOT going to pay for it....if it's set up...I'll TAKE IT! And, I'll take it with or without Dave doing one! Which I'm sure he won't! ....Neil
 
Hmm.. I skipped through all the pages here and there in this thread. I do have a couple of questions though.
The albino burm is located/ was taken from a pet shop in what part of Florida again ?
I'm not in florida so could you also please relate more of an idea of the local even please..ie east/west side coast..near Orlando, Ft. lauderdale. Tampa etc. TYIA
What exactly is the size of the albino burm [ maybe not exact but about even]? I have seen mention of albino burm in this thread from like 2' on up through 14' [ I think ]. Could this burm actually be in the area of an 11'er possibly ?

there has been some mention in this thread as someone may have been the person who took the albino burm etc also I beleive. Anyone have a pic or a link to such of that person available?

I do reptile rescue.. and do get calls from Florida even....and ..umm I got one a few days ago for an 11' albino burm that was just "dropped off" at a pet store down in Florida. Just would like to make sure this is not that burm is all. It was dropped at a friend's store and they called me for help trying to place it....Just want to make sure that with all going on in regards to the albino burm in this thread that it wasn't "dropped off" to make it dissapear so to say. [ not accusing anyone, just trying to make sure is all] BTW.. The person, a male, who dropped the albino burm off was just carrying it on their shoulders.. so I would think that they are not some scrawny type person to say the least. NOT with being able to do that ! lol
Any info that could be supplied to help us make sure this is not the same snake would be appreciated

I am sorry I had other things to do,

1) The Albino Boas belong to a man in Georgia He will be at Daytona and I will interduce each of you to him. I am sorry but at this time he does not want his name mentioned.Can any of you blame him?

2) and 3) I was ask by a wholesaller here in Tampa (joe) to find him a extra large albino Burm (I will not say his name due to the anger of Neil giving out his number and buisness name)I did find a 16' Albino they wanted $500 and joe was only willing to pay $250.So the deal was over I never took possession of the snake.

4)I have never been to It's alive,I have not been into pegs in at least 3 months I did go into herps looking at what they had but that was several days before I heard they were robbed.

5) That is a great question.Ray and Jenny live in the slums and I have not been around their home in about 8 months. Why they are saying that I have ? I do not know

6) I drive a forest Green Jeep Grand suv. It has Lawson Reptiles with my phone #  written on both rear side windows and the back window the writing is in 5" white letters.

7)I do not think that every store is out to get me.The only store that I have trouble with is the pit of dispear.Neil seems to be the shop owner running his mouth.

8)No is not true,I never called any pet shops trying to sell a abp or a ab.

1) Ray Marteliz, Jenny Marteliz, Josie Arnold, Peg Guillie, Lil Greene all take one first.

2) All the questions will come from the investigators from Pegs and Neils burglaries and Thomas Crowley, this forum

3) Neil is to allow (Give us written permission) to have a copy of the P.I. REPORT and written permission to post said report on this forum.He will agree to have the report sent to me and only me.He will not even have a copy until after it is posted

4) Neil refuses this the deal is off.Unless he will agree to submitting to a polygraph but his question will come from Angie Coker,Det. Cole, Thomas Crowley, the investigator from Elliott's Claim service, this forum and myself.

I know this seems silly but trust me it will show so much.If any of these are not satisfied the deal is off.I will only take mine once everyother person is done.

I hope you guys can see how childish this is getting.  Do either of you really think the other will pork out $400 for a test to shut the other one up. Or even think that all these characters(Ray Marteliz, Jenny Marteliz, Josie Arnold, Peg Guillie, Lil Greene) will do it first Dave?  I seriously doubt that this will happen.  If it does one will and others wont even though they say they will.  Some cash type hardship will pop up out of the blue and cause them to have to back out.  Ya da ya da ya da and so on.  

All the stipulations you just stated are nothing more than an excuse for you to not to have to do it.  Face it, you dont trust Neil and Neil wont trust you.  So if he does go through with your ridiculous terms, you will surely find some reason to not believe he followed them to the letter and cry foul.  Yada Yada yada. Well...  As amusing a read as this entire thing was... I think the end result is just the distrust of the rest of the country for the vendors in that area.

I'm certainly not saying that anyone or everyone is or is not guity of anything or nothing (How's that for covering my bases?). But try and read this thread from an objective point of view and ignoring the involuted relationships.  As someone from another area of the country would tend to...

I intend no offence to anyone involved but quite frankly, I'm now wary about sending money to anyone in the entire state of Florida. And the damage wasn't done by the accusations others made, it was generally done by the manner in which you accused one another. I understand the issues are important to all of those involved but this kind of in-fighting and mudslinging and backbiting just makes the entire Florida industry look... Suspect to say the least.

If those who continue this sort of attack won't think of the reputations of others when they carry themselves in this manner, at least think of the fact that many of you make yourselves look bad.

Again, I intend no offense to anyone in particular, I just hope everyone who posts regularly may take note of their behavior and perhaps...  Grow up?
 
Sheesh!!! And to think this all started back on page 4 when I posted my thoughts. Now look at it. This thread was dying out until I put up that post. Here we are, 12 pages later in only a couple of days. Same thing happened in the "infamous" 108 page thread. It had started to die out until I posted there with questions to Dave. It was either on page 12 or 13. I can't recall off hand. Go look and see for your self. I posted and then "BAM"!!! That thread went strong for almost another 100 pages after that. I sure hope this thread doesn't follow the same path.

Sometimes I just need to keep my big mouth shut.

The people on this list have said that I have stole animals and  cased their homes. I know that they are lying once they fail the polygraph everyone will know they are liars.Each on the people I listed will be happy to give questions for a polygraph. Each has a legal interest in this subject.Until every lie is brought to light this story will never end.

Acopy of the P.I. report was forwarded to Det. Cole tpa. A copy can be obtained from them.

The people on here pointed out coincidences that looked questionable, and asked you questions based on that.  Which, by the way, have yet to really be answered to anyones satisfaction(unless I missed something).  All this posting about sources and such without verification do no one any good.  How do we know these sources are trustworthy if we don't know who they are.  Answering a question along the lines of someone told me but they don't want me to reveal their names doesn't help unless their is a 3rd party to back it up.
Look at it this way, when you have people from the outside telling you how bad this makes any of you look, listen to them.  Most of us have nothing to gain other than respect for our hobby and businesses.

You claim to sell to all the pet stores in the area, if this is fact, why haven't you been to Herp's, Josie's, Peg's etc in months, and never heard of It's Alive? Why do you not want Tom Frost, owner of Amazon,  to know all the animals he's buying are from Southeast?

The abp, you offered to __, owner Joe F., was 13 feet, female. And Joe knew there was a big burm stolen from Peg's. Coinsidence? You mentioned to Joe that it may be "hot", you offered it for $100.00 and trade. Joe knowing your track record wouldn't touch it. Being we are both wholesalers, it doesn't mean we don't communicate with each other about these types of things, as I have known Joe for about 30 years. He's not going to throw his business out the window for you. Now if you think I'm a liar, and anything I said isn't exactly what was told to me? Tell me when and where. But you are not man enough to face me with your accusations in person. Drive by again, but stop this time.

Julie, make it right. Call Rich, tell him you're ready. Neil, shut up and sit down. Dave, stop by. And we'll take your polygraph, any questions, any place and time, YOU PAY! Call me, I'd like to discuss this with you in a way that is not suitable for Fauna Classifieds.
 
We apologize to everyone else reading this post. We are sorry if we have offended anyone as we have always run an honest business. We don't like dealing with liars and thieves in any instance, and sometimes it makes us get out of control when someone lies about us. If I buy animals from people I don't know personally, I ask for identification. If there is later some kind of recourse needed to be taken, it helps point others in the right direstion. We wish others would do the same, to help keep the shady ones in the spotlight. It makes life difficult for people like Dave and they start to squirm from the attention. I know a lot of you from other state's are thinking bad of all Floridian Herpers now, but don't let a few bad apples spoil the whole barrel. Really, there are some great people here that really love the herp business, us included. A lot more people would post here if they were not afraid of being jumped by some of you. They are afraid of the name calling hurting their business. But they know things that are important to this post. They even have rewards for the thieves' capture. It's Alive has a reward of $1000.00, and Herp Hobbies had a reward of $2000.00 out for the people doing these break-ins. If anyone has any information, please contact law enforcement. Don't just sit back and not want to get involved, we all have to get involved. Thanks for your patience and we hope you all understand.
