In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

they supplied fresh pix in a matter of an hour.. very good a++++would do biz again..

here is the address i have .......

I’m glad your deal was great. I just thought you should know (especially if you are going to recommend them), they have ripped-off others in this community. I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for them to respond here. They can’t defend what they have done to others and failed to respond in the past.

dennis,
thanks for the heads up ... i have heard stuff about there shipping... and i made it very clear to them.. i would not do the deal if they wouldnt offer me live arrival...they told me there animals are great and they stand behind everything.. they told me to e-mail bob clark and he will vouch for them no problem.....maybe someone should ask bob??

i went ahead and e-mailed bob ... im waiting for his reply now.. ill let you know if he gives them the thumbs up or down.....stay tuned

Aside from the shipping issues, What they did to A.J. at Prehistoric Pets in that first link I provided is disturbing. Also, the others that have received unhealthy animals that have perished. It wouldn’t matter how many good deals they have had since or before.
Bob Clark or God himself could recommend them, they would still be scum until they correct the wrongs they have done. All we have when it comes to protecting ourselves from those that would scam us is one another and forums to spread the word. Again, I'm glad your deal was successful and sorry I interrupted your good guy post but if you were in the position of Prehistoric pets or others, I would do the same for you.

by all means you didnt interupt.....id like to honestly know what they have to say about this....well i got an email pertaining to the thread about the trade..... they told me, sorry im dont remember the names....but the recipient of the deal sent a girl to pick up the snakes from there shop. they told her to check them out and she refused....they said they recieved emails sayng he was very happy with the snakes...and then two weeks later was unhappy... they said he kept the snakes with imported snakes which likely had parasites.. and after two weeks it isnt there responsibility.they said they probably contracted something from an import...

thats what they sent me in an email.. i have since deleted the email.. thinking i wouldnt need it... guess ill wait for a few weeks to delete snake deal emails now...

I wonder what they would say about these?

We know this an old post but just felt the need to add our words. We purchased 3 snakes from the Reptile Ranch and we too have had some serious health issues. One snake did die and it left our vet very upset and Jay and I were crying because we couldnt help her. The other two have been slow to eat and grow but now after 6 months, they are eating great and growing and are healthy!!! Recently I tried to email them and it came back to me. Oh well, live and learn. Sad to think they could be putting out nice animals but just dont seem to have it down. Always could have been an infection or other disease from an animal they brought into their collection. Guess that is why we have the BOI available to us.

I too had a horrid experience with Reptiel Ranch. I purchased three geckos from them. Two weeks later two were dead. I am going to check into reporting these horrible people to the local ASPCA. Their website lists their location, and my deal gone horribly wrong happened just last month. Breeders such as this deserve to be shut down, not only so that they can no longer bilk a trusting public, but so that they can no longer ABUSE animals through inbreeding, inadequate feeding, and overall neglect.

Wish me luck.

Please read their terms. They do not guarantee live delivery, most sellers do if someone home to receive delivery.

Also I paid $400 for three Arizona Mountain Kings delivered. I received only two Arizona
one the male has yet to eat on hid own and the third snake was a knoblochi mountain king found in Mexico.

I let them know within an hour of opening package I had wrong snake and have had no positive reply about a replacement on wrong snake.

Check out the web most breeders will guarantee live delivery. This does not mean you will get them live but if something happens to shipment buyer should receive replacement snakes or their money back.

I am not a happy with my dealings with The Reptile Ranch.

i just bought 2 female bearded dragons from them. payment and shipping plans went smooth. The dragons were shipped with no heat pack, and arrived very cold! Also, they are thin around the tails and loose skin. Not at all what i was expecting to get. I knew they were anything special as far as colors, but i didn't think they were this thin.

A few months ago I ordered a beautiful yearling Female Jungle Carpet Python from the Reptile Ranch . I received the same nice animal that was shown in the add , nicely packed and in great condition . Upon closer inspection , it turned out to be a male which I did not need as I already had an exceptional one . I immediately sent an e-mail to Laura explaining the situation and that I needed to return the animal as I had no use for it . I checked their web site for their hours of operation and saw that they would be open the next day . I had some other shipments going out that same day so I sent the JCP back to The Reptile Ranch for next day delivery . I called the next day to see if it had arrived O.K. and was greeted with an overly dramatic " Oh No .... You didn't ship it through blank blank delivery service did you ? They always screw things up ! " Hmmm . First red flag . I asked if she had received my e-mail concerning the animal and was presented with " My computer is down right now ,you know they do that sometimes . I had no idea a package was on the way " Second red flag . I called the delivery service to see if the package had been delivered . They said it was mistakely delivered to another Pet Shop walking distance from the Reptile Ranch and that they would take care of it . I called Laura the next 2 days in a row to see if she had received the package . "No, I havent seen it" I called the delivery service again to find out what was going on . They said it was taken care of . I asked for the number to the store where the package was delivered by accident and spoke with a nice lady who said that she received the package , along with some misdelivered crickets , called the Reptile Ranch , and Laura sent her son down to pick it up . This ladys daughter helped Lauras son take the packages to the Reptile Ranch . Her daughter described the package perfectly . "It was a white box with red letters and brown packing tape ". She also described how they carried the boxes together and handed them to Laura . Lauras response to this was " All I got was crickets , They must have set it down somewhere along the way , you know how kids are ...Haven't seen it" An hour late I received a call from Chuck stating that I needed to file a claim with the carrier and leave them alone .... It was the carriers fault for misdelivering and they didn't sign anything so I have no proof they received it . Thats fine . I'm out $250 . The snake mysteriously vanished between the stores . Hopefully , anyone reading this will think twice before doing business with the Reptile Ranch .

We ordered a female gehyra vorax gecko from them. Upon opening the box the stench made it pretty obvious that the animal was dead. The gecko was shipped in an un-insulated box with three heat packs and some shredded paper. And too top it all off, the animal was a male so even if it had survived that horrible packing job we couldn't have used it. We contacted them as soon as their shop opened today and they requested pics and assured us that they would take care of it. We did send pics at 6:06pm central and are awaiting a response. Their TOS on their site state that live arrival is not guaranteed but we did get a live arrival guarantee in writing from them prior to the purchase. Overall I am not very happy with the transaction at all. I will follow up when I hear from them again.

since i posted this thread i have informed r.r. and they have not got back to me...so what i did was a little test to see if they were ignoring me...i had my girlfriend write them inquiring about a het boa.. and they wrote her back very quick... so it seems they dont want anything to do with fauna...im still wating to hear from bob ..ill let you guys know what he says...i guess i wont be trying to prove out this male...i dont really get it.. why would people do this?? a quick buck.. to be honest a het male isnt much at all more than the going price for a normal....

Why would they do it? Sadly enough, because they value the almighty dollar over morals and integrity. Maybe they only made $100 more for the "het" male than they would have if they would have sold it as a normal, but do that 50, even 100 times over, and it really adds up.

thats really sad,we are a very small community and for someone to try and exploit us like this is terrible.

i just heard back from bob he said they have bought several animals from him...but didnt say anything about the health of the animals they produce...
anyone can buy snakes from bob ... i have several. so they thought they'd be big and try to throw around a big name and impress me... IM NOT IMPRESSED..pos people....its getting to the point where you can only buy from big name breeders..the "little guys" are getting screwed by people like this..

dennis hultman,
thank you for uncovering the wool from my eyes...i wish i lived by there store
id have to pay them a visit.

It's not just the "little guys"....have you read the TSE thread?

And yeah, just because they have purchased animals from Bob in no way means that the animal you bought was offspring of any of them. And as you say, anyone can buy animals from Bob.

Sorry you got caught up with these people.

Just providing the information available. As for their “hets,” I hope they do prove out. Good Luck!

run away from reptile ranch run!!

have done business with laura from reptile ranch...in my dealing with laura she had great patience for my stubborn pickyness and had great communication..sorry to hear about the misfortune of others...her shipping was great also

Glad your experience was good.....seems like a bunch of the rest of us caught these fine folk on a bad day, or week, or month. As for myself, I'm still trying to contact the ASPCA to shut them down.
