Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Reptster.com experience with show sponsorship not good

I really do not know how to piss up a rope but I am sure many here are experienced enough to teach me.Anyway I have to go now, I have a show tomorrow and will be passing out Reptster flyers if any of you need them let me know.Have a nice day.Terry

How can you continue to support him after all of this? Do you have any integrity? What are you getting out of promoting this jerk other than a bunch of bad publicity for yourself?
 
You don't need repster to get the discounts. My contract says I can not reveal what my discounts are~ but I can disclose that I get discounts and they are better than repsters.

I would assume that most of the "big boys" probably already have a substantial discount available to them due to their shipping volume. That leaves the little guy needing Repster's service. The same little guy that utilizes the BOI to make sure they aren't getting scammed. David, you may feel that you don't fall into that category, but as has been pointed out before - how you deal with a problem speaks volumes about you. You have proven to me on this board that you are "too good" to deal with problems. Oh, Fauna was fine when there was a happy little thread dedicated to throwing roses at your feet, but now we are a joke to you? Check the mirror pal because the only one laughing at this mess is you (oh, and maybe Terry if he's done holding your rope).


I dont have a Repster account to cancel but I think there is also more than just that way to burn the guy. I wouldn't do business with anyone that utilizes Repster's service. Plain and simple. No business for him in or out.

I second this motion. I don't breed or sell animals, but I sure as hell buy them and have them shipped to me. In the future I will REFUSE to accept any shipments from Repster. If this means I pay $20 more for shipping, so be it.

Keep in mind that the person your questioning calls a swap meet a reptile show. He charges vendors a table fee to sell or trade their animals and visitors pay a door fee ( cheaper than a table fee ) for the ability to bring their own animals and do the same. My math just don't add up to that being good for the vendors so I'm not shocked he'd stand up for a deadbeat.

See if you can devise a method of printing them out in small rolls....say something small enough to hang on a wall. They should dispense by pulling on the roll and should definitely be soft and absorbent
 
Regardless of everyone's opinions in this matter, please try to keep the posts at a professional level, or at least without a lot of unnecessary derogatory and colorful verbal additives.

The more noise that is made, the more difficult it will be for the signal to be heard through it all.
 
Wow um those e-mails are retarded. I was intending to use repster as kelly recommended me to them before. But i think after those"e-mails" which i really do think are fake, i will not be using them. I would rather pay some extra cash to buy my supplies than deal with that kind of BS.

Terry, I have had several conversations with you. I thought that you were pretty straight up. I have been to your show twice this year and was coming tomorrow. I'll take my money elsewhere...

Get certified~ it's easy. Call your rep and explain that you should be entitled to discounts because you are not entitled to the garantees ~ explain how much money the animals your shipping are worth and that because of your contract you are not entitled to any compensation if they lose or mangle a box. Be NICE about it. The rep will be nice about it if you are and will find discounts for you. Then~ honor your agreement and don't try to make any claims if (WHEN) they screw up a box or deliver it late.

OUCH! I really spent quite a bit of time and effort trying to craft a post that WOULD be worth reading. But I guess not...

I don't know Kelly, but THOUGHT I knew something about David, just a little, anyway. I really was predisposed to give him the benefit of the doubt, with just a half way good explanation and resolution. But even if everything he said was 100% true (and unfortunately he provided zero proof, other than implying her emails could be fake, which seems to have been disproved, and not disputed by David), it is just not good business, or even logical, to thumb your nose and disrespect people who are genuinely concerned and want to believe in you. Especially not when the solution would have been so easy. It just doesn't add up to what I saw earlier about David and Reptster. But it is what it is. Apparently David feels it is finished.

Now I am a bit embarrassed for the support I have been giving in various threads on various forums, and in emails and the phone. I thought it was warranted, and that Reptster was a real star in the making. But unless something drastic happens to change this situation (and I am not even sure what it could be, after that last disparaging post), I am going to have to kick myself, and be more careful about offering support to seemingly worthy causes in the future.

My usual optimism is a bit crushed right now...
 
Our official joint statement

As promised, this is our official statement regarding the post from Mr. Young, as well as a few made by other people.

We would like to thank everyone for their support in this ordeal; it has meant a lot to us. We are amazed at the responses we have gotten, both publicly and privately, and just want to say thanks. We hope to develop some good relationships with you all as time goes by.

We also want everyone to understand that our intention was never to “bring down” Mr. Young’s business, or to hurt him in any way. Our main goal in this has been to make the public aware of the situation and to hopefully get a resolution that we were not able to get by dealing with this privately.

To address the post by Mr. Young –

Mr. Young makes mention of a few phone calls that he said took place, and we find it interesting that he could not place a timeframe on any of them except for our first call; from the very beginning we were able to establish our timeline with emails and phone calls, and had the proof to back this up. Mr. Young has not provided any proof of his statements, and if he has the emails he claims happened, we are still open to seeing those, although we know they do not exist.

It comes down to this – the phone calls and emails Mr. Young are stating happened, did not EVER happen, unless you see them posted by Kelly on this thread.

This is all we know to say about Mr. Young’s post.

Terry, although we appreciate your offer to call for any show related questions, we will not be taking that offer, as we feel there could be a huge conflict of interest in doing so. We wish you the best of luck with your shows.

This post does not mean in any way that we are done responding to questions or discussions, publicly or privately, and we will still actively participate in this thread as time goes on. We will also let everyone know if and when a resolution has happened, what that resolution was, and how we came to the agreement, although it is rather obvious to us that Mr. Young has no intention of finding a suitable agreement. We just felt the need to make an “official statement” regarding Mr. Young’s post.

I have never used Repster and I sure as hell won't use it after reading this. I wonder if he thought about how many regular fauna members use his service? Im sure its a sizeable number. Just think of all that money lost for being an arrogant Jerk..
