OK. Rich,

Has Neil threatened to bring suit against you for posting the PI report?  If so, let's hear about it.  If not, how would this non-threat ever work as a means to stop its being posted on the BOI?

In other words, Dave, what good would it do for Neil to tell YOU he would file a lawsuit against Rich Z. if his goal is to keep all of us from knowing what you say the PI report will tell us?  Isn't that a bit like shutting the barn door after the horses are out?  Once, we've read it, what possible good would a suit of ANY kind do?

This just gets stranger and stranger to me!

I've talked to Rich Z. and Crowley about these lawsuits days ago. Just sit back and hope that something happens to where he can post the P.I.'s findings. It's funny how Neil can say this and that and the other and not have to show any proof, but someone says anything against him and it takes and act of congress to get anyone to beleive it. Maybe instead of sitting at the computer and trying to pick holes in things that people are saying, maybe you should pick up your phone and see what the P.I. or Rich Z. has to say. I do plan on hiring Crowley to prove my point and to prove that Neil IS responsible for the last 3 break-ins of the snake pit. He has opporitunity, motive, & everything to gain. Neil's one flaw in his plans is that when he's high he talks way too much. I am not the only one he's talked to, just the only one that has the balls to say it. So in closing I would suggest you re-read the thread from the last break-in and the one before. Read it closely and carefully & you'll see the lies that Neil tells. Make phone calls - call the snake pit and talk to his employee and ask how the culprit(s) broke in throught the only window in the building that did not have an alarm on it, how a key was used to gain access to some of the tanks, and how they moved a 200 lb iguana cage away from the window stealing all of these animals Neil claims were taken in 2 and a half minutes. Only 1 person knew how the alarm system was set up & where the cameras/motion detectors were placed/hidden. In Neil's words "Business is at an all time low for me & I'm losing money keeping the place open". And also "Daddy sends me a $25,000.00 check every time this place is robbed - it's better than insurance". I am not the only one Neil has said this to, and each person he has said it to is willing to give a statement to the police.
 
I have to ask this question

does Neils' pee cure the sick?

cause the way people defend him and take his word as gospel , he must be some sort of god.

i'm not saying hes guity of anything but you have to give the benefit of the doubt to both sides before you cast stones...

I am not defending Neil.  I do not even know Neil except for what I have read of him here and one email "conversation" by which I asked him a cornsnake genetics question that he was not fully able to answer.

I have no clue whatsoever as to the medicinal effects of his urine (nor do I care to investigate&#33<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>.  I do not accept his word as gospel, and he is certainly no god of mine!

However, there are some accusations being thrown around by several people who are personally involved in one way or another, and there has been precious little proof offered by any of them.  As for Neil's proof, I would like to see the police reports he has filed.  Even so, as an insurance broker, I believe fully that he did NOT receive a claim payment on his first burglary without a police report of some sort.  Also, I think everyone who has posted has agreed that a report has been filed on the most recent burglary because (according to Neil's accusers) the alarm went off in his store.

All I have ever said in any of this is that someone is lying, and before I believe Dave and his gang I want to see some solid proof of their assertions.  The reason I single them out is because they struck the first blow.  They made the affirmative assertions concerning Neil's part in the robberies, and the onus is upon them to prove it.

I have asked Rich in my previous post to establish Dave's credibility concerning Neil threatening to suit him.  I again ask, "If Neil never threatened to suit Rich directly, what good could he hope to achieve AFTER the PI report was posted?"  If the report will be as damning as Dave would have us all to believe, I see no reason to suit Rich after the fact without first trying to dissuade him from posting it in the first place.  If Neil has made no such threat and the ONLY info Rich has on this matter is that which has come from Dave, I submit that we are back where we started!  

If Dave has the proof, LET US SEE IT!  I will be the first in line to form a firing squad for Neil's immediate demise in the herp world.  Neil cannot prove that Dave is lying except to show the police reports he has made, but even then that simply means that Neil reported his own theft he committed (according to Dave).  Dave (supposedly) can PROVE Neil is lying, but Neil cannot PROVE this of Dave.  I say, he who has the proof has the burden of releasing it to us all or SHUT UP!

Let me ask Neil, as I am certain he will read this:  Neil, do you mind if I post your emails to me along with my responses in this thread?  I would rather people read what you wrote, rather than my making any assumptions or conclusions myself by trying to paraphrase them.

As for Crowley, no he did not mention to me any of his conversations with Neil.  Understandably, Mr. Crowley was not going to say too much, since he hadn't been paid the balance for his investigation, and certainly wasn't going to give a full report to me, even verbally.  I am certain that as far as he was concerned, he was owed money for the work he did and expected to never see that bill paid.

I was actually contacted by Neil's father via phone.  Jay Gubitz said he had been contacted by James Thornton and James gave him a lot of details about what had been going on at his store.  Now why James would come out of hiding at this late date, and to do so, contact Neil's father is puzzling, at best.  But I do know that Jay offered to pay off Crowley if I did not, and as well, wants to see whatever is in that file that Crowley has.  It would not surprise me in the least to find out that Jay Gubitz has hired Mr. Crowley to get to the bottom of all this.

Does Mr. Crowley have suspicions?  Darn right he does.  But he has not given me the liberty to divulge them publicly.

Do I agree with Mr. Crowley's suspicions?  I am withholding that decision until I see the evidence he is basing his suspicions upon.  Mr. Crowley did not strike me as being stupid, gullible, or easy to fool.  But I'm sure he has erasers on all of his pencils, just like the rest of us.

My opinion?:  I think most people realize now what a big mistake it was for me to allow my site to get involved with Neil's December incident.  Some people more than others.  

I've got my thumb in the hornet's nest right now, and I suspect when I get that file from Mr. Crowley, many people are not going to like it when I release all those hornets.  But damn my thumb hurts!
 
I am very wary to post on this topic as I can see a dark cloud a mile away that I dont want to be associated with what so ever.  There are a few things that are bothering me throughly though.  I have been to The Snake Pit and met Neil in person, granted it was only for a few minutes but he seemed like a nice enough guy.  The thing that's bothering me is WE ALL KNOW how much Neil is involved with this particular site and how he posts probably more than all of us combined.  I haven't seen him post once in the last few pages to defend himself which seems odd to me.  Another thing that bothers me is the MAJOR lack of any real evidence by EITHER party, Neil or Dave or anyone, and much talk of I know this, or I know that, IT MEANS NOTHING WITHOUT SOLIDARITY!!!  The only person I can agree with is Mr. Ritchie Luna and wanting to wash this away.  Im in this hobby/ business for the love of herps and herps only, and this has turned into way to much drama.  I wouldnt even read it but its like that bloody accident you drive by and don't want to look in fear of what you'll see but look anyway.  My concern is we will all be dissappointed one way or another.  All this wasted energy into something that has lost site of the reason MOST of us are into herps.  I just want everyone to think about why they are in this hobby to begin with, and not let this scare people away, or think this is how it's all supposed to work because as far as i'm concerned ITS NOT.  Well I said my piece wether it falls on deaf ears or not, so i'm off to the General Discussion section to see if theres any positive things to post on or about....Michael Beberman
 
I guess if everyone is so willing to tell Dave what is going on and who is responsible, he must be the man! ;P

And the Webslave has not mentioned Word ONE of a lawsuit, and as I have seen, anyways, when those things get tossed at him, he usually mentions it here.  And besides, HE knows as well as most of us here that HE should not be held actionable.  

And I am forced to ask again, how are you guys getting all of this "information" from the police and the PI?  Are you guys buddies?  Do the cops come by your place to discuss the latest cases they are working on, illegally?!  Dave, you claim that Neil doesn't provide any proof, but you aren't giving up anything either, so what is your point?  That seems a very hypocritic thing to say.  

And I will tell you I am not bowing down to Neil and I don't think he is a god, and you can DAMN well be sure I am not gonna let him pee on me to cure ANYTHING!  But to me, I am finding it more and more difficult to believe your story over his.  And if you want to avoid impeding investigations and don't want to post anything other than implications of yours and conversations with people that noone will really be able to prove here, why are you continually throwing gasoline into the fire?  Neil has backed out of commenting on this and is waiting for the findings that you miraculously seem to have.  As others have been saying, this just looks fishier and fishier.  And I have yet to see negative posts about him, but I recall seeing one or two on you a while back.  I could be wrong, but then again, I don't go digging up dirty laundry either.  

But bottom line, this stinks.  And whatever happened to the other three that were so vehement in their attacks on Neil?  Are you speaking for all now?  You are more tactful than they were, so maybe it helps to keep them safe if you post instead of them?  Maybe they won't get themselves in trouble if you talk by stating facts without stating facts?
Again, it just makes you seem suspicious with all of your accusations without proof.  I am not at all saying you did it Dave.  I am not even saying that you were involved, or any of the others for hat matter.  I just think you have put yourself in a very suspicious position.  And Neil has not said anything bad about you in this thread at all.  Why are you continually taking the offensive in something that I believe should not matter to you, unless you were involved?  To me in my mind, that is just fishy.  But hey, that is my opinion.  Take it for what you want and take the time to type up a repeat response of your "facts" and to tell those who don't believe you that we worship Neil.  I have never met the guy.  But as I said, I am finding his side far more believable and less fishy than yours.

This is really hard for me to post. I owe Neil a couple of favors and even posted good threads on him in the past.

But as someone said in a previous post NO ONE is above the law. One of Neil's favorite statements was "communication is the key", so far there has been none from his side. I would like Neil to reply if Dave Lawson's statement is true:

..."I personally sold Neil 10 Imported adult Ball pythons and I told him that they were non-feeders. He paid $5 ea. for them that very same day he advertsed them as c.b. feeders for $59.95. A couple month ago Neil had a Black tail boa for sale he advertised it as a Anery proven breeder when it died he tossed the body in a dumpster and and posted on Kingsnake.com "thanks James and Kingsnake.com the Anery boa was sold"...

Neil, the ball is in your side of the court. Answering this question by no means will interfere with any kind of ongoing investigation, so there is no excuse for an honest answer. You can obviously choose not to reply, but you are intelligent enough to know what that implies.

Please prove Dave Lawson's allegations wrong.

i know this was asked earlier, but i don't remember a response.  is it possible for the Webslave to hire the P.I. again to investigate the same thing?  maybe pay him $1 for his services and his report can be issued to the Webslave.  this would cut out all red tape!  the work is already done!
what do you all think?

1)I never said "I" did drugs. I said Neil talks to much when he's high. 2)It's not Dave's gang. I only know 1 person that has posted bad about Neil and that is my girlfriend. I've only spoken to Josie one time and that was about a week and a half ago or so. 3)In my honest opinion, when Neil told me of the lawsuits he suspected that I would pass it along to Rich Z. and Mr. Crowly of which I did. Neil told me he had already hired an attorney to carry out these lawsuits, but I know it was only a scare tactic. ...this alone substantiates what I said about Neil telling me of lawsuits. With Neil knowing that Rich Z. will post on the board of being threatened with a lawsuit Neil just gave him a tactful warning. 4)How would you like me to prove it about the ball pythons I sold to him, his claims to have had animals stolen that he's never had, or things that were said in conversations that were between he & I? 5)I know that on the internet and on this board Neil comes across as a funny guy and always quick with a joke, but when you get to know him on a more personal level he lets down his walls and you get to see a very dark, ugly side of him that he blames on his Jewish/New York background. 6)No, cops do not freely speak of cases they are working on other than speaking to witnesses or people who have information for them which is the case here.
As for the reason I even started posting on this thread, was because I could no longer sit idly by and watch Neil cry "woe is me - I've been robbed *AGAIN* I am such a nice guy, why would anyone do this to me?" I posted what I know to be facts and I knew it wasn't going to gain me any points with Neil's fans, but none the less, it is the truth. I did it knowing that it may cost me some customers, but at least I can sleep knowing I tried. When the smoke clears and the reports are posted I will not say I told you so or ask for apologies, but rest assured I'll have a smile on my face.

well dave, you may not wanna say it, but since my integrity was questioned when i posted my thoughts of neil, i will say i told you so. those that know me stuck up for me, but those who didn't were eager to jump right down my throat. i disrespect nobody and i like to expect it in return, but by posting my opinion, disrespect was flyin all over the place.
this is gonna suck if we find  neil to be behind this, but sadly it won't surprise me a bit. i've actually begun thinking neil was on his way to turning around, heck the man was actually trying to help me with a situation i was having recently even after the things i said.
i know alot of the people on here and think of them as good people, but this case may show some they need to look beyond the immediate posts they are reading. like i said last time, just cause someone can make you laugh doesn't mean they're a good person. i mean no disrespect by this post, so please take no offense.
please don't jump on me for this post. those of you that know me know i DON"T want to find neil is behind this, i just wanted to say that my last posting wasn't out of the blue nor was it a grudge thing as it was blown off to be.
either way this pans out it's gonna suck, but i hope neil isn't the one as he really has made alot of changes.
