Zach,
I haven't posted in this thread in a while, but I wanted to thank you for your participation here, and all the updates on your eggs. I know you want to be optimistic, but are also quite the realist, and frankly, it is appreciated by all who have a dog in this hunt, and those of us who do not. While we have known for some time that the odds of you not getting visuals if you had real hets were about 1 on 7 1/2, we also are pretty much resigned to the benefit of the doubt completely evaporating if you don't get a visual, with all the other reasons for doubt. While there are poor schloks out there who have had true hets not produce visuals two years running, there are also those who hit the lottery, and the current circumstances don't lend themselves to any benefit of the doubt, or acceptance of extreme odds. I hope you get a pied. I could tell you a story about the first pied ever to emerge from an egg in the U.S., ...... briefly, it was cut out, and died. Although curiosity killed the cat, it also confirmed that it was a recessive trait, and chickens could be counted before they hatched from that point forward. I would stay patient, and not rush anything. Thanks again.
