    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Too late to call off the press

Revenge is a strong motivator, and rarely fueled by logic or common sense, but man does it feel good, much better than just sitting around waiting.

In my personal opinion the reptile industry doesn't need anymore bad press as others have stated. Nothing good can come from it, especially here in CA. There are so many legislators trying to pass bills banning most species of reptile here as it is let alone for them to see something like this. I don't want to give them anymore reasons to put me out of business and several other stores/breeders.

I want to stick it to him (Chris) to but at the possible risk of bad press for the reptile industry.

Also I have not received a refund at all from my bank or PayPal. PayPal sucks as far as I am concerned and will no longer use them to purchase things. Gggrrrrrr

Enough of my ranting now. hahahah :raspberry

You may have nothing to hide but we all have something to loose...OUR FREEDOM TO KEEP REPTILES. So when some senator or congressman sees the news and realizes what the reptile indutry in general is doing and decides to get a few more bills passed, it wont matter if you have anything to hide, because once they outlaw everything none of us will have anything to hide.
But hey you got your revenge and it was worth it right?

Exactly!!! Personally, I do not want that freedom lost.
 
I doubt the press will jump on it anyway. I don't think they will put Chris' name in the paper since he is only under investigation. And the morph issue would be too confusing for the general public to understand. I am no authority so don't jump all over me if I'm wrong.

If anybody in the legislature was looking for "dirt" on the reptile trade all they have to do is use google. It's not a big secret what's out there. The yahoo walking down the street with a python around his neck causes more problems than this will (with the public).

I think it is a stretch to say that TV/PRESS exposure of CHRIS/PAT/GLENN/TSE scam will cast a negative light on keeping reptiles.

The people who would see a connection to keeping reptiles and the wrong doings of a scam artist would already feel keeping reptiles as pets is wrong. It will not change anyones mind or in my opinion inflame the ones already against keeping reptiles. It would be a theft/fraud story not a child being eaten by a python.

Exposing CHRIS/PAT/GLENN/TSE scam can only be helpful by increasing the chances that not one more person will be victimized by Chris Johnson. I too personally would like a little revenge. This mess has cost me untold headaches and time. I can't think of a better screen saver than a photo of Chris-Pat-Glenn Johnson being marched out of his apartment ( I mean Facility) in handcuffs...Priceless

The reason the yahoo gets the attention is because he's out where everyone can see him and brings attention to himself. Not that we have anything to hide but I'm sure they will make it seem like we are. Not trying to argue with you Kevin but as they say the squeaky wheel gets the grease, best we don't squeak lol.

I just can't see any real good coming from their involvement in this. If they think it'll boost ratings they'll have us all pictured as feeding kids to our snakes. Seeing how most have a low opinion of reptiles and snakes in particular it can't be a good thing to have the media interested in us..

What's done is done and I guess we'll see if they are interested...Randy

What about all the people that have no idea about reptiles and don't even know there is an internet society for buying selling and shipping reptiles. Your now gonna have it right in their faces on a TV and inform them about what is going on. How many of them are gonna say, i don't want to go into a post office or UPS store or a FedEx Kinkos if they have snakes in there. The people will put pressure on the shippers due to their own fears and you think they will side with the minority (reptile keepers) or the majority (people that are scared or reptiles). They certainly will loose more business if the side with the minority.I had 4 darts frogs shipped to me recently and held at the local FedEx kinkos for pick up. Once they handed it to me I took it over to the table to open it up and make sure everything came in OK, and a woman came up next to me while i was unpacking it and glanced over and she saw one of the frogs in a clear deli cup and said loudly, "oh my gosh that thing is alive", and i said it only a frog. but that just goes to show you how people can be.The media around reptiles is interesting to people in general when it shows people with reptiles in nature and foreign places, they get scared and panic when they find out that these same reptiles are coming and going through the same post offices and fed ex's that they use. try being on a plane some day and while your sitting there on the flight tell the person (old lady or such)
that you have a large shipment of snakes on the plane with you on the way to a show, see what kind of reaction you get.
There is far more to loose then there is to gain when the media has anything to do with reptiles.
 
Such Paranoia

Everybody needs to remember that we are talking about a populous so lackadaisical that it can't turn out 20% of it's registered woters to elect a President. And politicians that so self serving that they won't do anything unless there is a lobbyist with a sack full of cash and a free vacation get-away involved. So I think our snakes are safe for a while longer. Remember the hanging chad! :dgrin:

Cathy has anyone talked to officer Brown in the last two weeks, because i have not gotten a deposition from him yet. I don't think he is getting my e-mails or I'm not getting his.
 
I got my forms on June 2. I looked back through the addresses it was sent to, and I don't see what I THINK is your address. Send me your address again, and I'd be glad to forward it all to you.
 
I suppose only a judge/jury could decide that, but speculatively I'd say prison.
