In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Vincent Russello, attempting a scam

Vince

I do not know you, but I have seen you post here A LOT. One post in particular stood out in my mind and I think sheds light on your character. Someone had some leopard geckos for sale that were not selling so the person was dropping the price. Vince, the guy with bills to pay, makes the guy a low ball offer. It was obvious you were attempting to take advantage of this guys misfortune. When he stated that he spent $125 for the animals you came back that this was a retail price, and not a price that you would normally get. I think you quoted that you could purchase animals that were blizzards, tremper albinos, etc for $15.

I just did a search here and see that this is not your first visit to the BOI either - Suprise!!!!!!!!

I am a photographer - I shoot a 3.2 megapixels camera - and I can tell you that has no relevnce what so ever on the color that shows up in the images. It was obvious that the "red" image was enhanced - the red light shows on the left edge of the container lid. Heck, even the objects that look like oatmeal on the right side of the lid were red.

i will sell you some hypo red cherry tail leos

So where are the parents of this animal if this is the case?

Male wanted Wanted, super hypo carrot tail , send photos and prices to [email protected] from 03-20-2004 05:29 PM

OK, so did the bills just pile up in the last week?

Dude, you so full of it your eyes are brown.

Fess up, "Yes, I altered the original image" The other images show the real color. Oh yeah, I anxiously, await the cherry leos you are spouting about.

I guess this is more jibberish, fibblity, gibbity, huh?

Terry

the first thing you are talking about is a pair of females one tremper albino and one normal i offered i belvie 60 for both, and yes i did place a wanted ad for a male for someone who purchased some females from me and wanted a male. So yes this is alot more meaningless jiberish.

Vince,

Basically you're trying to overcharge someone for a Leopard Gecko with a retail value of $20.00 to get in excess of $166.00.
I guess finding victims willing to pay your jibberish amount would help pay your outstanding debts...

So what would it cost someone to buy it then?

So $166.00 is not enough to purchase it, the most stupid person wins?

Down Boy.....

Steve,
I didn't read that Vince ever said that $166.00 wasn't enough. He simply said that since he hadn't put a firm price on the animal, regardless of anyone's opinion to this point, he placed it up for sale to the highest bidder, regardless of the final price.

This thread is getting to the point where you've got the guy trying to jump through 5/32" wrenches and calling them hoops. And not just you, but so many on here. Vince believes in his animal. Some here don't share his feelings and (rightly so) have asked for more detailed pictures and/or information. That's fine but doesn't give everyone free reign to attack his every post like a pack of rabid dogs. The guy's going in circles already trying to fulfill requests as fast as they come in and now he's reduced to defending semantics?

Cut the guy just an ounce of slack, read carefully (and since he's probably already rattled beyond belief over this...)and with an open mind. Besides, this horse is almost DED, dead anyway.

David

I said that you could simply bid the trade value. like if you traded me somethig worth 166 you can bid 166. you know what im saying?

Steve, I hope I didn't cause confusion...I am not offering $166 for the gecko, I think Vince just used that amount when he was explaining to me how to use trades on Reptibid.

I'm not trying to convolute this issue any further...sorry if I managed to!

Dave & Terese,

I understand but if he is taking offers and it's over $166.00 on a $20.00 lizard that seems a bit absurd to me. The honest thing to do is sell it for what it is and nothing more as he makes it out to be.

$20 for a tail that orange?

I don't think I've ever seen an adult leopard gecko with that much obvious orange on the tail (opinion based upon both indoor and outdoor pics) priced for $20. Not even at PetCo (have heard some interesting things about the leo. gex origins at PetCo that pleasantly shocked me, but that's another story.) I remember just a handful of years ago when that was a highly sought after trait in and of itself with babies priced at $500 and more. Definite bars in the pattern suggest high-yellow genetics at play and, depending upon which pic you choose as most true, a possible reduced melanin which would make it a possible hypo-carrot-tail. Now, that's not your average PetCo $20 lizard. Maybe it's not a $100+ animal, but then I've seen a whole mess of animals over the years that I wouldn't give you $1 for yet sold for hundreds and/or thousands because some folks thought differently.

Keep your chin up and don't fret these details too much Vince.

David

taking offers

If vince take that, what 166.00 for his animal what is the diff. Thats why its called an auction. People over bid on all kinds a stuff. I've seen people bid on stuff they could have easlie got new for less. And they pay double for it. So does that make those sellers bad?
In case you haven't nocited he has tried to answer all of our questions. Hell he even took the picture in question off of repi bid. What more can we ask of him. He has pretty much done what we asked.

Don't want to piss anyone off, but that is my opinion!

Vince,

I'm only going to tell you this once. The ability to report a post on FaunaClassifieds if for people to report postings they consider as abuse on the system as a third party. It is NOT for one party in a dispute to continually make pleas to the moderators and admin of this site to side in your favor and come to your aid. Please stop using this function of the message board in this abusive manner.

Further, if I see one more posting like this:
jibbity jabity cobility geckoie flibbity

from you on this site, which is nothing but pure unadulterated garbage wasting space on my server, you WILL be suspended and fined again.

I hope I am perfectly clear about this.

It's very possible to commit fraud via an auction. People's bids will be based on what they are willing to pay for the item AS REPRESENTED. If the item for sale is MISREPRESENTED, then it inflates the price beyond actual value.

The color of the animal in the picture which caused me to post this thread is not the color the animal is in reality. This is misrepresentation of the product for sale and just as bad as an outright sale of a misrepresented animal.

It doesn't matter what people are willing to pay if they are not given accurate information about the animal prior to placing their bids.

Hey David, he's not rattled. He gets off on all the attention. Thats why he posts after every response. He is just trying to get his post numbers up. This is common knowledge regarding Vince. He will post one word "yep" just to get his post numbers up. "The guy's going in circles already trying to fulfill requests as fast as they come in"? Once again, he is only trying to post as many times in one thread as possible because he is a legend in his own mind. So get real. If anyone is getting attacked after every post, it is all of us who have to read his Dr. Suess lines and his outright lies about the first pic. As for cutting the guy some slack, we already tried that with him after his first 22 point stretch in the joint. It obviously didnt work. We might be beating the horse till its "DED" but at least were not calling it RED!

I understand that, but they are still bidding on it even after he took that pic off.
I didn't mean to offend you by saying that. I understand why you put the post up. Now that i read what web posted i feel like an idoit for even deffending him in the slightest way. I didn't relize he was all that.

In debt or not in debt, that is the question

Vince said:
david , thanks for the advice. but with bills pileing up I need to sell all of my leos and redfoots. the bill collectors won this round.

Vince,

If you are in so much debt then why would you even consider accepting a trade? Would you not then have to sell what you acquired in trade to pay your bills? Or are you just trying to get something for nothing?

I think we all know the answer but let's see what Vince has to say.
