Do you not call this stealing?
Dan Quinn of Manhattan Herps is no better than many of the bad guys here. The difference is he has not been given the opportunity to sell offspring from the unhealthy animals he collects, because he has not had success breeding them yet.
But it is obvious to me from the trends I see in his behavior that he is well on his way to being an unethical business/hobbyist who cares more for profiting off of the animals than promoting their wellbeing.
You shouldn't buy deformed or otherwise physically unhealthy animals as breeding stock. Would anyone disagree with that statement?
But Dan has done that repeatedly.
He acquires breeding stock with disregard and disrespect for the animals.
Who here that claims to love animals would buy deformed animals to breed?
Who here that wants to contribute to the continued success of captive propogation of a species that is becoming increasingly inbred would accept trades for breeding stock indiscriminate of the quality?
Who here would steal an animal from the floor of a petstore (with the thought in mind that it's a female, i.e. future breeding stock, mind you) because you couldn't afford to pay for it?
LotsaPetsGarfHt said:So whats the Crack about him "buying and stealing geckos from Petco" about? DO YOU KNOW FOR A FACT HE HAS STOLEN GECKOS FROM PETCO?
Nobody thinks the kids perfect, he's obviously used poor judgement, but why are you making this case against him? Are you Wendy or a friend of hers?
