    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If I wuz Billy, I would pull the offer now, let you bump this thread daily (Zzzzzzzzz), and wait for a letter from your attoney (more Zzzzzzzzz). Call me the "High Priest of Bad News", but Jesus, you let your own stupidity get in the way of moving forward. Hope the snake pulls through, cause otherwise you won't have much to show for being a "grown man". Shame is, that with a $400 deposit to open that bank account, you might have gotten a free toaster, or a free pretzel voucher good at any street-corner in Philly, ....... or both !
 
You and Mr Albright can threaten this and threaten that in your little pissing contest to see who the best man is. I'm starting to get the feeling that this is now more about hurt pride then the issues with the snake.
Yes you were given SEVERAL options in which to resolve this matter and which some of those options were dismissed by you and others dismissed by the seller.

PayPal not covering you is BS as long as the money is in a PayPal account and /or PayPal has sent you a check. I've dealt with PayPal long enough to know that's a crock of shit.

So really is it all still about the snake and it's well being??? I don't think so otherwise this thread wouldn't be at nine pages and growing. You have options. Take them or don't plain and simple. But do not make idle threats that having nothing to do with truly doing it for the snake. You're just doing it for your own bravado.

Since neither you nor Mr Albright are willing to compromise even the slightest then your only option is simple. Keep the snake, take great care of it and shut up.
Yes that is meant as 'tough love' so to speak. If it's truly about the snake you would have just accepted the vet's diagnosis and treatment plan then left it as that.

So that's my advice to you. Shut it, take care of your new pet and let sleeping dragons lie. :D

If he happens to pass away DUE TO INFECTION OR INJURY from being shipped in that condition then please post photos and maybe the Vet's necropsy findings. Then you can take that up with Mr Albright if you wish.

But for now just keep the snake and take care of it. Your 'bad guy' point is proven and taken.
 
Tailswithscales, I never meant for this thread to get like this. I was only looking for solutions and or options. Then I turn around and people, instead of helping, are only making sly remarks and comments. I really liked your suggestion and thought it could work. I just spoke with a paypal account specialist supervisor and she told me that because the intial purchase of the snake was not through paypal so they don't have a reference to open a dispute. So if I shipped this snake and Mr. Albright doesn't put the refund into my paypal account there's nothing paypal can do.
 
snakes (retics imparticular) are extremely resiliant and very forgiving and hearty animals (makes humans look like wussies). increase his temps, leave him alone and let him get better. if you caught the uri early, he should recover quickly with proper enclosure set-ups. and when he is recovered, he will eat and begin to shed well, and defecate and so on. you would be surprised at what i have rescued retics, burms, boas, rocks and so on from and the conditions they were in and in just a month or two's time, with proper enclosure adjustments, they do very well. its obvious that both of you are too proud to give in and make the first good faith gesture and rely and good ole proper morals and values of the other guy to do the right and equal thing, so just work with him the snake, get him better and be done with this thread.
 
The statements made by mr. blackman are in no way a factual account of the events which have transpired over the course of this transaction. At no time did I fail to maintain contact. I have responded politely and professionally to every email, phone call, and text message I have received.
I have said form the first mention of a problem that I would replace the animal w/ one of equal value or refund him his full purchase price including shipping.
He will not accept a refund and will not ship the animal back to me for treatment. He has threatened me, cursed at me, and slandered me on the boi.
Form this point forward any communication between myself and mr. blackman will be done through our attorneys as I have been instructed not to respond to these threats and allegations and not to become involved in conversation w/ him after his threats.
Once this matter is settled I will post all of the email correspondence between mr. blackman and myself along w/ pictures of the animal taken three days prior to shipping.
I do truly apologies to every one for this unfortunate incident. Those who have done business w/ me in the past know that this is not the way I conduct myself or my business.

To those of you who have spoken on my behalf, I thank you form the bottom of my heart.

This will be my only post until this matter is resolved.

Wow, Mr. Albright, are those the same pix that you "sent" to that other person. Also Mr. Albright didn't you say that you did not look over or inspect the animal

If you and Mr Albright are unwilling to compromise in any way your best option is to just keep him and let sleeping dragons lie. There is no sense in pushing things any further at this point.

So there you have it. :D Just keep him and let it go (this issue not the snake). As I already said your point has been made. Mr Albright has his "Bad Guy" mark (again) and folks are further aware of his dealings.

Well, I guess now we can all just wait to see what transpires.

Bill - If you have those e-mails, please post them as it would do much to give you back some credibility.

Jesus - Eating requires energy, as does digestion. I referred to my feeding regimen to illustrate the need for patience on your part, as I did earlier when I mentioned my breeder woma who I don't expect to eat another thing until March or April. This snake is all sorts of stressed out at this point, but could easily go a couple of months without food judging by its appearance. I'm not suggesting that, but a few weeks of optimal conditions, minimal disturbances, and no stress would do him good at this point. You think this whole deal has you feeling pretty rotten? Think about how he feels right now.

Also, for future reference, as soon as you start with the argumemtative tone and name calling, your credibility suffers. If Mr. Albright is all the things you claim, and you keep going the way you are, he's going to come out of this looking like a guy that wound up with a crazy, half cocked customer.
 
In short, I don't think I'd deal with Bill Albright, considering the condition of this animal. But, I don't know if I'd deal with Jesus Blackman either. He was overly demanding, rude, and impatient. I think had it not been for these factors, some agreement could have been made.

I have only had the pleasure of dealing with 2 members off this forum that's
Element360 who even wrote a responce on my profile page, and kcmpa who built the cage for my retics. I was very polite when I called, texted, and emailed Mr. Albright. It wasn't until I got the cold shoulder from Mr. Albrigh that yes, I did demanded an answer.
 
I've done some business with Bill in the past and had a stellar experience... But no ones perfect and accidents can happen... But that stinks man, good luck.

Post 57: Jesus posts an email from Mr. Albright, dated Sep 15, which includes the following offer from Mr. Albright:
i will refund you the full purchase price of the snake but will not issue an unsecured payment until the snake is shipped back to me. i will be happy to issue through a secure means such as pay pal before you ship. that assures me some form of recourse if the animal were not returned to me.

Of course, you didn't have a checking account to link to PayPal, which was an excuse you made to refuse this most generous offer. :rolleyes:

But Mr. Albright's offer was to send you the money first. My view is that you are now deliberately misleading the reader who does not go back and research every post, and are now less-than-honest in this event.
 
Here are some pictures that I have of the animal in question. They were taken w/in days of shipping.
I don’t have the best camera in the world, nor did I know I would need photographic evidence of the animals good health. When I sold the animal to mr. blackman, as you can see in the pics, it was in all apparent good health. No mites, no U.R.I., the nostrils are clean and clear, no scale rot , and no noticeable scars. The retic had good body weight and appeared to be in great shape.

I remain very sorry that any of this happened. I have honestly tried on multiple occasions to refund the money and get the animal back in my care for treatment.
We spoke on the phone last night (I called mr. blackman, he later returned my call) for 48 mins and 08 sec. in that time I was given the opportunity to speak for maybe 9 min. this was the first phone conversation we have had since the week he received the snake. All other communications have been via email.
He explained to me the reason he was unable to have a checking account or credit cards (funny story, you should ask him) I then offered to send him a partial refund via money gram to the Wal-Mart where he works today and the remainder when I received the animal. he said to me “not just no, but f**k no” he then continued to berate and threaten me. I informed him at this point I was becoming fearful for the safety of my business, family, and self. I told him then that if this went any further all previous offers from me were no longer an option and all future communications would have to be between his lawyer and mine. He made it very clear to me that was what he wanted.
This is where we stand at this point.
