Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Zach Ashwood bad deal.....

Im pulling for you and Daisy to. I have a small dragon thats had issues every one in a while where she needs to be cared for like that. Syringe and all that good stuff. Shes much better now and has had no problems for a while and I hope Daisy will turn out like her to. Good luck!

The last few days have not been good. Daizy is refusing to eat even from the syringe. She spits back out everything I put in her mouth. This AM she vomited what looks like the uric acid ( the little white part) that they poop, and blood. I am waiting on a call back from the vet.

Jessica

Any updates on Daizy? Did you hear back from the vet? I'm keeping you guys in my prayers!

Daizy has not put on any weight, but she is still eating from the syringe. She gets her last dose of De-wormer on Saturday. It's really hard to keep up with her with all my other dragons. The real kicker is even if she gets better, she will not be able to breed for us. It sucks! Zach you stink!

right there where it says 10 months older and 64 grams. at 10 months of age the female should be in the 100 grams. you shouldnt have bought it.

Just a heads up, I bought a female citrus bearded dragon from Zach this week. She arrived Tuesday... And the nightmare began. He had her listed as a Shy eater.... Yeah... try half starved to death. He said in his post that she was from a specific breeder. So I contacted the man and asked for any info about this dragon. He said she was born in a clutch at the end of August '09. She is 8 months old. She is less than 12 inches long and weighs 64g. I contacted Zach and said something was wrong and he said basically that it is my problem. I took her to the vet. She has 2 PARASITES and an infection. I have her on three meds and I am hand feeding her from a syringe. She is not shy. She is a very friendly dragon who was no fed nor taken care of. She had a very foul odor when we pulled her out of the box. We thought it was because she pooed in transit. We have bathed her and she still has it... It is from the infection. The fact that we have only been taking care of Dragons for a short time but we would have never shipped a dragon that close to death. He called her outwardly healthy! If he had posted pictures of her in her current state we never would have bought her. But, now that we have her and see how she was treated we do not want to send her back. It's more than a bummer that we have already racked up vet bills nearly equal to her purchase price just to save her. I can't imagine how he keeps animals! I would suggest no one buy any from him or send him any unless you want them Dead. We asked for our money back to help cover the vet bills. And he refused and called her outwardly healthy...
Mind you she is 8 months old. Which I was not aware of until I spoke to the breeder. This is the picture we took of her.

[/IMG][/IMG] the bottom is the one he sent us.
We offered to let him keep the price for shipping. He needs to refund us our money. This dragon has been sick for quite some time. You can search the forums on here and see where he asked for advice about her. I also see that this is not the first time he has had problems shipping sick and dieing animals.... Kevin & Jessica :(

I highlighted the parts in red for you where they state that they did not find out that the beardie was 8 months old until they spoke with the breeder who actually produced her. They also said if they would of seen pictures of her in the current state they would of never purchased her. So he misrepresented a bearded dragon with an old picture to hide the fact that it was sick.

Hey guys. I've only got several dragons so I'm not an expert but I bought a citrus female in December. She was pretty shy when I first got her and I figured that it was just her needing to get used to being in a new place. It's been 3 months since I've had her and she's got the be the most shy animal I've ever seen. My other 3 dragons go crazy when they see food but as long as I'm in the room this little one just runs and hides. She seems like she's so worried about hiding and getting away from things that she doesn't eat much. I know she's gaining weight as I weigh her every once in a while but she seems very small for her age and compared to my other female who is the same age. She's about 6 months old and only weighs like 60 grams. My other female who is actually a little younger is over 90 grams and eats like a pig. She still appears to be healthy but I just don't understand why she's so scared and shy. Is there anything I can do to help her get over it? Or maybe get her appetite up? Thanks guys and I hope someone can help me out. It's seriously stressing me out.
I'll start holding her a little bit more and hopefully she'll get more comfortable with me. I really would feel better if she would gain some weight and eat more. Maybe she's just a slow grower. Thanks you for the advice Angie.

Here is the email after I informed him about this dragon.

That's very unfortunate to hear. I never had any issues getting her to eat or anything else. But there is no way I could have known she had anything internally wrong. I'm not a breeder and when I sell animals I do not give any guarantees other than live arrival. So I can't issue a refund. I'm sorry this has happened but the reptiles I sell I sell as outwardly healthy. She had never showed me any reason to have to make a trip to the vet. Her poop was always as it should be and she always ate for me. She is plenty healthy to get over this hump.

Zach

Subject: Citrus dragon

Daizy (the citrus dragon) has continued to not eat. We took her poo in for a fecal study this morning. The fecal exam showed a parasite which required them to do a smear. She has two parasites and an infection from the parasites not being treated. The names of the parasites are capillaria and coccidia. She is on three medications, Metronidazole Benz, Panacur, and Albon. The cost of the visit was $66.38 ($39.00 for the float/smear and $27.38 for the meds). In six weeks he wants to see her in the office. That will cost $52.00 for the office visit and $39.00 for the fecal float/smear repeat. One vet visit would have made a huge difference in this dragons life. I assume, that because you raise boas and other reptiles, that you care for animals. I also assume that from the way you have worded your e-mails. I want you to return my money. This has turned into a rescue and not a purchase. I'm not even sure if we can save her. I have attached a copy of the paperwork/bill from the vet.

Here is a link to his post about her on these forums http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167510
My wife and I have only been caring for dragons for around 6 months now and we knew immediatly something was wrong with her so the whole outwardly healthy thing really burns me , he intentionally hid this dragon being sick I would have never put a dragon in that bad of shape in a box to for shipping.

Zach I highlighted your own words in blue. I found 2 of your posts that you yourself stated that she did not eat that well. In your email you said you never had any problems getting her to eat or anything else. Which is it? With whatever answer you come up with you need to refund these people their money as well as the vet costs that they have incurred from you selling them a sick dragon. There is no way that you did not know this dragon was sick if you could not post a recent picture and had to post an old one. What you did was wrong and you know it as well as anyone else who will ever read this thread. If you don't have the cash handy to cover all the costs work out a payment plan with them. If you send them $10.00 a week until the bearded dragon and the vet costs are paid off will be better than avoiding this situation all together. In my opinion others that read this will not buy off you in the future but I believe their are people on Fauna that will not sell to you either. You need to take a look in the mirror and ask yourself if this is the kind of person that you really want to be.:NoNo:

I would have never bought a 8 or 10 month old dragon in Daizy's condition! Zach completely hid the age and condition of the dragon. He mentioned in the for sale post that he had gotten her from Rick Lothan. I googled him and got his website. Rick has been very stand-up. He offered to give us a dragon to replace her. He has given us any info we have asked for and kept in touch through this entire process. Zach on the other hand has cheated us severely. It is time to make Daizys check-up appointment. Is he going to pay for it? I have to make sure she has gotten rid of her parasites before she can come out of quarantine. I demand Zach give us our money back plus vet bills!! AS for the comment we should have never bought her, it is partially right. Had we had even half the info that was withheld we would not have bought her and she probbaly would have met her demise in shoebox in Zachs closet.....

2nd recent post I've seen with erroneous information.

Makes you think twice about his/her handle "offroad." Did they have too much to drink? Where they chatting on their cell and missed the exit? Or maybe its a vision thing. Posts should at least be accurate. AT LEAST!:rofl:Anyways, Daizy ate like a piggy this am. I added Chicken babyfood to her slurry and she really liked it. Gonna try to feed her twice tomorrow. So far she refuses to eat more than once a day, other than to nibble on her greens when she sees my other dragons eating.

Hello,
I am new to this site and I just want to thank the people who share good and bad reviews on their dragons. This helps me so much. I cannot stand to see animals in pain. It is sick. Again thank you for taking the time to share with us all. It will definetly affect my future dragon collection.
Thank you and God Bless!

your a dumb ass. do you come on here and start stuff with other people just for the fun of it.
Very mature response, but to be expected. Actually your posts are the epitome of a "dumb ass" in motion, your frequently post ignorant information based upon cursory review or completely erroneous information. You don't bother to read threads or review your 'facts' from that one class you took and it appears you are incapable of using proper grammar or punctuation. So the lifetime "dumb ass" award is clearly yours for the pathetic work you've done to achieve it. If you can't handle the 'internets', maybe you shouldn't be on them.

Offroad if you don't like my thread, how about yous start one of your own? The entire purpose of the BOI is to complain or give credit to bad or good business. It is a place where folks can come to check out a potential buyer/seller's past deals and see if they are a crook or not. Posting about people complaining on the BOI is like complaining about eating beef when you clearly took yourself into Burger King and bought that whopper...as for grammer and spelling I know that nobody is perfect but maybe this will help. http://www.merriam-webster.com!
