    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

See this is exactly what I am talking about...I never defended anyone shipping that way! In fact, I agreed that the guy was wrong in doing so, and chastised him for it, though I didn't tear him a new one. I defended his other methods, which are not the "normal" way, and got slammed. This is the perfect example of why this site doesn't work in alot of cases. These threads get so long, and off topic (like the Tosha bashing thats going on in this thread right now) that focus is lost, and the hope of having any sort of real discussion is gone. You guys are all so happy playing in your little "tear them a new asshole playground" that you don't stop and think that civility is paramount in any discussion. This place is far from perfect. Dennis, you don't have to bow to me bro, just read and comprehend what I said. If you can't do that, then don't come at me in that tone. There are at least a dozen folks here who know that I am an honest and fair guy. But when you get lambasted by the regulars for not agreeing with everything they say, thats just wrong. There is a reasonable way to discuss and solve a problem, and there is unreasonable. This site leans towards the latter more often than is comfortable for most people.

Tosha paddled up that river all on her own. She was proven a liar time and time again. Then she wants to critisize the BOI as a whole because no one fell for her cry me a river stance. AGAIN!!! :nopity: Sorry, Ms. Thang not fallin for it.

Shawn you have some good points, you have from the get go. And I am sure that people recognize them. Getting lambasted by the regulars is something you may have to take with a grain of salt. And yes it does take a unique person to not be effected by this group. Yes, I will agree that the BOI is not perfect. But I must say that overall it accomplishes so much more good then it does bad.

I agree that Tosha sank her own ship. But, as things happen here, it went beyond proving her wrong. We should all try and remember that this is a discussion forum, and not a bashing contest. Just because she deserves it, doens't mean you should dish it out, especially when its not on topic. Look, I'm not a sensitive guy, but when it comes to this place having a knack for "following the leader", then the leader needs to lead down the right path.

Actually, it was right on topic. Tosha came here bashing the BOI, and got caught in a web of lies. She got called on it. Simple as that. The fact that there is what some people are referring to as a pack mentality is due to the fact that very often subjects here eventually end up with most people coming to the same conclusions. In this case it was that Tasha was out of line.

Isn't the definition of "insanity" doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? This wasn't the first time that Tosha had opened herself up for "attack". This time there was, however, even more ammunition.

It seems that you have FORGOTTEN that some of us backed you up once we understood EXACTLY what you were defending. Your lack of clarity cannot be fairly blamed on anyone but YOU.

It also seems that you are not exactly trying to "tear a new asshole" but you are sure trying to put your foot up someones, why are you special when it come to one's bung?

If you're NOT so sensitive, then GET OUT OF THE LINE. Find a new leader you are comfortable FOLLOWING as you obviously do not want the LEADER roll yourself.

Seems to me that if folks are not following the path YOU think appropiate then they are wrong and should do things differently. HA! Practice what you preach and let them worry about themselves.

Be fair...I didn't forget that some people backed me up. But i would be happy to show you some of the negative reputation hits I got, by clearly, and calmly, talking about another option other than what some people wanted to hear.

As far as my response to Dennis...He is using blatant false statements about me to make his point, followed swiftly by Karen, who believes everything Dennis said apparantly. That deserves a stiff rebuttal don't you agree?

As far as following my own rules, this thread is about the cliqueness of this board. I am still relatively new here, and I have noticed it, so I posted to try and participate in the original discussion for a newbies perspective. As such, I am relaying what I see causes alot of the problems ie...going off topic, and not being able to keep it civil. You need a leader for this.

By a leader, I mean that someone should be watching this board more closely, and letting people know that they are going off topic, or taking something too far. This is ussually a moderators job. Noone is clearly doing that here, and I know the guy who owns this board, (is it Rich?) probably doens't have the time. And no, I don't want the job, as a board like this, that is supposed to be about problems, woudl be way to difficult to manage for my simple skillset.

We have Rich/Webslave here, and he does keep things in check, and btw, in doing so, he has pissed off people on more than one occasion. We also have 4 moderators here, and they also do a pretty good job of watching the boards as well. I think you should realize that the very nature of a board like this requires more leeway than your avrage forum in order for it to work effectively and for situations to play out to a satisfactory conclusion. Yes, some people are quick to jump on the band wagon, and that has been discussed to death at this point. If you think things should be done differently here, then simply do things the way you feel they should be done, and led by example. If it turns out to be a better way to do things, then people will naturally follow.

Let's see, there are a couple of ways I can take that.

Do you mean that I, just me, do NOT post VALID opinions? Hmmmmm that's an interesting idea.

Don't know quite what LIST you refer too so I'll just let that one go, after all I'm not the smartest guy here.

Then there is the silly one liners thing. Do you NOT use them because you are UNABLE to think of them? I suppose if I were so dense as to be unable to think of a witty retort I'd look down on them too. Perhaps you'll improve with time. I certainly hope so.

To tie it all up, you seem to have more of a problem with me personally than with the board. I am fairly certain that I do post VALID opinions on a variety of subjects, may have to ponder the use of the word valid to be sure we're using it in the same connotation, but I suspect that what I say IS valid and not just valid, but often correct as well. Interesting isn't it, how these conversations morph and turn unexpected as well as unseen corners. Seems you've gone a bit off your original track too. Does that make YOU less valid?
