The offer of the dalmation wasn't completely out of the blue because the buyer had shown interest in it before the original sale. So it's not a case of her offering a gecko he would hate. Of course, that's a rather minor point. The value of the offer is entirely in the eyes of the buyer and if he thinks it's not good enough, then that is his prerogative, of course.
I agree with those that say it's a lame attempt to fix things...but as I pointed out earlier...typing out pages of what WE think would be a better offer seems rather pointless. At this point, the buyer will either end up with a $450 plain gecko....or a $450 plain and dalmation gecko. Wishing it were otherwise won't make it so.
But who knows...maybe she'll read all this and finally realize what a huge mistake she's making. Is her rep worth a few bucks? Up to her.
