Rich Z said:Well, I wouldn't call it "impossible" but if only two people are doing the whole shebang (feeding, cleaning, shipping, pulling animals for the orders, processing invoices and doing the shipping paperwork), I would say it is pretty darn close to it. Not without working 26 hour days, anyway.
On days where I might have 12 to 15 shipments going out, NOTHING else gets done the entire day by the two people who do the shipments at my place. That's myself and my wife. Unless you have actually done it on a large scale, you just don't have a clue about what is involved for something like this when it involves live animals.. I know in my case, it's not like I can just go to a drawer and pull out 1 of this, and 2 of that for an order. I have to locate it, check for general health and any visual defects, and verify the sex of it. Make sure there are no indications of feeding problems and then cup the animal up and go on to find the next one. Let's say this process may take maybe 2 minutes per animal as an average. What's an average shipment, number wise? If you are saying they should be able to get 37 boxes out in that 8 hours, well then we are talking about an average of only 13 minutes PER box, including EVERYTHING to get it out the door. Suppose it takes 7 minutes to do everything BUT pull the animals for each box. That leaves 6 minutes, or approximately 3 animals per box that can be pulled without running over the time limit. With NOTHING ELSE at all being accomplished for that day, and assuming NONE of the shipments causes a snag along the way. Do that for 4 weeks solid and all of the remaining animals that have not been shipped will probably be dead or darn close to it from lack of care.
Yeah, this is a rough sketch and your mileage may vary, but I think it's pretty darn close to what you can expect in reality.

shrap said:If there is going to be a 5 month delay in shipping, the right thing to do would be to contact the buyer and inform them of the lengthy delay and offer a refund if they do not wish to wait that long. Instead people were told they would not be refunded no matter what and that the TOS gave them the right to not refund. That is just plain wrong in my book.
These people were not told up front of lengthy delays in shipping and there lies the biggest problem that I see here. If TSE would have been up front with people about the very good possibility of several month delays in shipping we would not be here now. Those that did not mind the wait would have bought, those did not want to wait would have taken their money elsewhere. TSE did not give people that option. Hopefully it is a lesson learned and one that is not repeated.
At this point with all the delays so far, i think it would be wise for them to work more than an 8 hour day. Chris said himself , that some things need to be straightened out. I think at this point its time to work your butts off to get everything done quick.
Junkyard said:I know of two companies that ship out some 75 shipments a day, one is bugs, the other is live animals and supplies. Granted they have about 3-4 people at each business. Maybe TSE could use some help to catch up.
Luckily, if they did stop early there is enough merited poor reflection.nicolai said:I hope you are correct and people dint stop there when searching out his business or his name. That would be a unmerited poor reflection.

and what is that? They have had poor communication with thier customers about thier wait on thier orders?reptilebreeder said:Luckily, if they did stop early there is enough merited poor reflection..
Bob Kite said:First off I guess I should say that I have also been waiting for shipment (which I got notice that my animals are shipped and will arive in the a.m.)..
Bob Kite said:I should also note that the above was not meant as a defense for TSE, I too have experienced the same lack of communication and poor customer service that others here have...
nicolai said:Shrap once again I will say that i agree with this part of the whole thing. I agree that the customer service part of thier business concerning communication with thier customers about thier orders was poor to say the least. My problem is when people start saying "conartist", rip-off artist", " diseased animals", "contaminating others", "crooks" and the like which just isnt the truth and the people making such remarks need to prove what they say or be the subject of peoples scutiny.
Chris already stated that the TOS will be changed in the near future to better layout the policies and be more informative to thier customers.
& I retreact nothing!! (TSE) = payment in full + no shipping directly away from your door. except for fair weather conditions which also warrant NO SHIPPING I do apologise to all for posting the external I'm still learning the rules. link however as you can all see it has provided Nikki the proof of my involvement with TSE.nicolai said:1) accusations with no proof -(external link=proof)
2) posting external links =(already sited shhh!)
3) name calling= (Factual adjective) "In my own god given opinion"
please just post the evidence or retract your slanderous statements and end all this or are you going to add more to the list?

nicolai said:So you have the same situation, you had poor customer service concerning the communication about your animals. And what else should be noted is that you have been contacted and shipped your animals before you said anything publicly. So once again i see no "crook" or "con-artist" just poor communications which we have already talked about.
