    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I can honestly say that I got some of the greatest animals I've ever had from him. It started with my Amarali a few years ago. Those of you who have seen them know how sweet they are. Then I got 4 baby emerald tree boas from him and they grew to be killer boas. Now I bought one hell of a screaming pair of Chondros from Bobby. Every deal I've had with him was represented honestly, professionally packed and shipped and I couldn't have been happier. I know some of you feel differently about Bobby, but I will continue to buy from him and encourage anyone to do the same. Remember; there are two sides to every story. If those reading would like "the other side" of the story, go to the advanced search feature, type in key word, pruett, choose titles only and choose Board of Inquiry.

Then hit search

I believe you get about 12 seperate threads.

Might be a record!
 
Glad you had a good deal. However, the evidence I have seen on this site since I joined up in 2003 seems to indicate that Bobby Pruett and his pal Tim Bowles are some kind of rat-finks. :cool:

Please utilize the SEARCH function as much as possible before starting a new thread (topic line). In many instances, it is much better to continue an existing thread rather than starting a new one in order to preserve continuity in the information about a person or business. Most readers are much more inclined to read a single long thread, rather than dozens of smaller ones scattered all over the BOI. So don't let your message get lost in the clutter by ignoring this simple rule.

And if you look at the image posted right under this... they are all positive posts. In my opinion, being that this post is a positive spin that would be quickly lost under a mountain of negatives, it is appropriate to post anew. Please note the use of "In many instances" as opposed to "always". I am in no way defending the seller in reference, I know nothing about him. I only state that BOI rules do not absolutely prohibit this post.
 
The main reason for my post was to state that I hade another great deal. It is a positive for him. I added to my new post which probably it self should have gone in an old thread. And yes Dennis, I had two screen names. J_Romley and Joe Romley. Wow! I'm trying to hide. No one will ever realize who I am if I drop the oe from Joe. I forgot the password and made a new one. Enough said. My email address is in my profile if anyone wants to come down on me for defending Bobby.

I really don't think that anyone will come down on you for posting a good guy post about Bobby but you are one of the very, very, very few that ever have.

I myself have had nothing but complete horror stories to tell about this guy. For the last two and a half years I have had nothing but bad experiences with him and have had to do everything from calling the FBI in south florida on him to having to talk to attorneys in Colombus Ohio about filing suit against him for various things.

He even recently bought the domain name ghireptiles.com to further harass me and to top that one he put up a ghireptiles website. After to talking with the legal department at yahoo and being on a conference call with some nice people there, the site was immediately taken down. I won't go into much of the personal stuff but one thing he did that really got me was to e-mail a friend of mine and customer and pretend to be me and said absolutely horrible things to him. There were many e-mails and my friend would neither buy from me or talk to me. He did this from a hotmail account he got that was associated with the bogus ghireptiles website he put up. The e-mail address he used was [email protected]. I eventually talked to my friend and we figured out pretty quickly that it was Bobby.

On the business side I sent Bobby Pruett 1 female emerald tree boa and 1 male trinidad tree boa....shipping was in the mid $80.00 range and I was never paid for any of the animals. He even went so far as to make me invoice him multiple times and then said 'F' you...you're rich, you don't need the money. Sometime later on a thread about him he said that he 'F'-d me and there was nothing I could do about it.

The level of harassment I have had from Bobby Pruett I have never experienced in my life from all people combined. I have seen what he can do to people who he doesn't like and I would use EXTREME caution if you absolutely 'have' to do a deal with him. I would personally never send either animals or money up front to him because from what I have personally seen through dealing with him, he is completely untrustworthy.

You have every right to post your positive experience. However, you made a very inciteful statement above. The second side of the story is contained in all of those negative threads that have been started over the past several years. They would tend to indicate that your experience was definitely the exception.....not the rule.
 
Did bobby ever give Phillip, you remember that 15 YEAR old kid that bobby ripped off, the corn snake he owed him?

This may have been resolved and slipped my mind.

Hey romley, WHY would you give money to a guy like this?

You couldn't find ANYONE else?

If you support this guy, please pass me by if you ever see me selling something you want.

The very first link I posted was a positive thread, that he already posted on. Which means he was aware of previous good guy threads. That thread is still positive and there are a couple of more.

I am wrong? I pasted right from the rules. It says in many cases. I will however contact a moderator just to satisfy my curiosity, seems a much better course of action than getting into a argument :argue:
 
I'm not defending Bobby in any way, shape or form, I think that he's pond scum and a boil on the a$$ of the reptile community, However Joe is a good guy, and although he's been a member for a long time I don't believe he post's very often. I received one of his dragon about 3 years ago and it was awesome!!!!! Maybe he didn't use the search function on this sight?? JMHO

It's so hard to understand how some people can have such bad tunnel vision. For whatever reason (personal friends, new to internet transactions, didn't find out about persons rep till after, or the people who could care less) people still buy from these kinds of people.

I think that warning people about someone like Bobby Pruett is a good thing. It may save someone, say for instance a 15 year old kid, the money and heartbreak of having to deal with such a dishonest individual. You don't see Pruett here defending his good....I mean bad name because there is no defense at all, he knows it and we know it.

Look there are many guys in the business that have been ripped off yet some buy from the guy who scammed them because the guy has something they want....weird to me but for some it works. A friend of mine summed up Bobby Pruett and his friend Tim Bowels in one perfect sentence...... If you swim with sharks, expect to be bitten.

I don't know if that is true or not but I did make screen captures just in case it disappears. Somebody should send them a link to that thread.
