• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Wow record time.

I posted a reponse over on ks to the moderators post. It lasted a couple of minutes. I am telling you anything with the word "fauna" gets deleted faster then you know what slides out of a goose! For ritchie: early this morning some knucklehead using the screen name kingsnake sucks posted some silly stuff: "nazi's" & stuff about not posting on kS anymore, but then they also posted some REALLY lewd pics. That stuff stayed up until sometime in the afternoon. Oh, and Robin (R2 reptiles) posted her dislike of the situation. Some other people also posted, I can't remember everyone. It all got deleted in the afternoon. I have posted stuff about people coming here if they have questions but it keeps getting deleted. I think they are really watching that forum closely now! Darn rowdy leopard gecko people!

Thanks for the reply... Crazy, crazy stuff. Well, with luck no youngsters checked out the pics that people are talking about.... That would be a real bummer....

I think its great that Robin and others posted their opinions over there as well. Maybe KS will start to open their eyes a little bit wider... Who knows.

Only time will tell...
 
Wow...yeah...I won't be using KS again...the quotes terry took from KS weer directed towards me after I said that people were just angry because Garrett's post was singled out, and then a bunch of people were banned....I responded by asking how she would know what I knew about the deleted posts or people banned...how did she know I hadn't spoken with them about it. Guess what........that post was deleted...
 
man Chad, you are getting good at starting these controversial threads, first the giant thread, now this....:)

At least it is livening up the forum a bit, getting people to posting

Bad mouthing or attacking individuals or companies comes to mind and insinuating that AAA doctor their photos likely falls under that catagory I guess it all depends on how such insinuations were worded. As for the BOI it's a no brainer... kingsnake reguarly bleeps out the url as they don't like this or any of rich's sites mentioned there and those posts regularly get yanked and if someone tries to get around the filters through creative spelling. Sometimes the creative spelling types sneak through and sometimes they don't and *if* they get caught those posts certainly get trashed.

Would not it be presumptuious to think that perhaps the legal wranglings and all that chaff going on between the deux is the reason for the lack of a response from jeffie himself? Have his lawyers talk to your lawyers kinda deal?

I already talked with the mod, she cleared some stuff up for me. By the way, I never trashed AAA reptiles or insinuated anything. I outright stated that the picture was not accurate & the geckos would not be blue.

that if KS was the Titanic, it would be sinking like a rock! I mean at times people on there just go nuts over the stupidest things. I think they should just reboot the site and clear all of the forums. just me 2cents.

ok how about thinking from this angle: garrick reposted those wonderful photos within threads made by other people which had been designed to cause nothing but more disruption on the forum (a violation) so of course those people's posts were going to get pulled. It's been said by the moderators in the past on forums where fights have happened before that if someone creates a thread and that post violates the rules then all the posts that responded to the original post get trashed with it. If he goes and starts a new thread of his own and reposts the photos and doesn't include anything that could be seen as advertising or other violations then he shouldn't have a problem at all!

Garrick was not selling his geckos. He very specifically stated he was trying to get an idea of their value, but they were NOT for sale. I know if I owned them I would be keeping 'em & breeding 'em, cause ain't no one else got 'em! He probably could have worded his post better, but that is neither here nor there...

Yes, very "presumptuious". Those contacts I attempted were long before any "legal wranglings" and attorneys were involved.

Those "other disruptive posts" were being made by people that were wondering why Garricks posts were deleted in the first place... Did you even see his first post? By the way your talking about it, I'd have to say no.

As far as Garricks posting the pics in other threads that were being used in a disruptive way, well, thats where I'd have posted them if I were Garrick. It fits the topic does it not?

Sure, Garrick could have made a brand new thread and posted the pics, but in the long run they'd have been deleted as well. I don't think you get it, this isn't only about Garricks posts being deleted, its about ANY post that was made pretaining to Garrick or why Garricks posts were gone being deleted... Hell, even posts offering someones explanation as to why the posts were deleted were trashed... If thats not lame, I don't know what is...

And finally, Garrick wasn't advertising in the first place (IMO). All I noticed was a breeder that had the RIGHT to post something that he was proud of... If I produced a blazing blizzard (regardless of strain) I'd do the same thing...

Bottom line in my opinion... Kingsnake sucks, and if things don't change it will continue to suck for days, weeks, months and years to come...

Obviously you have no concept of what "advertising" means. Garrick in the process of posting his beautiful photos also took that message a step further by advertiseing which is against the rules. He was soliciting others for a potential sale by publicly announcing he was taking bids/offers on his animals. No matter how you look at it that is defined as advertising. Paying for advertising space means banner ads, classified forums or sponsorships...it does not mean he or anyone else has a right to post ads on the discussion forums. The discussion forums are for discussion not advertising and such statements to that effect are on all the forums including the leo forum.
